Twitch Watch Parties is rolling out in beta through April, starting in the U.S.

Twitch announced today that it is rolling out a beta version of its Watch Parties in the U.S. through the month of April. The feature, first tested in October of last year, allows creators to watch and stream Amazon Prime Video content to their viewers with a Prime membership.

The feature will be available to Twitch's U.S. partners beginning today, with the goal of bringing it to the global community in the future.

The Amazon-owned streaming service also says it is still working to improve Watch Parties based on feedback from the Twitch community. As part of its latest release, the feature has added support for video and audio, visible in a picture-by-picture format above chat, to let your viewers hear and see your reactions to a movie you're watching together.

On its support page, Twitch says the current version of Watch Parties includes a selection of highly requested Amazon Originals programs such as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Hunters and Troop Zero as well as third-party content such as Star Trek, Survivor, Psych, and RWBY (volumes 4, 5 and 6).
