Microsoft has updated its Windows 10 lifecycle fact sheet page (spotted by On MSFT) in some regions to include the Windows 10 may 2020 Update, also known as Windows 10 version 2004. This on its own is no surprise, since the update should be out any day now. After all, there are only a few days left of May.
What's more interesting is that it lists the date of availability as May 27, which is today. According to earlier reports, we weren't expecting it to arrive until tomorrow. The change isn't listed on all versions of the page. The U.S. lifecycle fact sheet still only goes up until version 1909. It's the German page where the change was spotted.
Support for Windows 10 version 2004 will end on December 14, 2021, which gives it the usual 18 months. It's the same date for Enterprise and Education SKUs, since only the fall update is supposed to get the extra 12 months of support that those versions get.
If the Windows 10 May 2020 Update does indeed get released today, it's not going to be forced on anyone. Microsoft doesn't do that anymore unless the version that you're on is nearing the end of support. Now, you'll just see a link in Windows Update that will allow you to opt in if you choose to. If today is the day, it should happen at 10am Pacific Time.
