Fujifilm released its software in May of this year that turned X series and GFX digital cameras into webcams. However, it was available only on Windows.
Today, the Japanese imaging company announced that its Fujifilm X webcam software is rolling out to macOS computers. The software tool supports macOS 10.12 (Sierra) up to macOS10.15 (Catalina). Compatible camera models include the GFX100, GFX 50S, GFX 50R, X-H1, X-Pro2, X-Pro3, X-T2, X-T3, and X-T4.
Like its Windows installation process, the software's macOS version requires that you install the app (available to download here) and connect your camera to a MacBook via a USB cable. Then, choose your X series or GFX camera as a webcam for various videoconferencing apps like Google Meet, Skype, Zoom, Messenger Rooms, and Microsoft Teams.
