AI teammates are finally coming to Ghost Recon Breakpoint on July 15

Following Ghost Recon Breakpoint's less than stellar launch, Ubisoft vowed radical changes to the title. After months of updates to pivot the game into a more tactical experience, today it was announced during the Ubisoft Forward show that the highly requested AI teammates feature is almost here, finally arriving with Title Update 2.0.1 on July 15.

Following the update, a menu option will allow solo players to enable three AI Ghosts, Fury, Fixit, and Vasily, to help them in their endeavors in Auroa. These AI come with full appearance, outfit, loadout, and behavior customizations, a much deeper system than what was available in Ghost Recon Wildlands.

AI units can be directed to hold position, regroup, seek cover, and assault targets. They will also coordinate to revive the human player if downed, and perform sync shots when given the order. The original sync shot drones will remain in the game too, allowing for seven-kill sync shots when AI teammates also join in.

As mentioned before, the major update carrying AI teammates - as well as a new live event and PVP Ghost War changes - will be landing on July 15, coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Moreover, Ubisoft will be hosting Ghost Recon Breakpoint free weekend promotions on all of these platforms from July 16 through July 19, giving interested players a chance to try out all of the new content.
