LG's self-cleaning wireless earbuds go on sale in the U.S. for $149.99

LG announced new models of its Tone Free true wireless earbuds last month, with a self-sterilizing capability baked into the charging case of the higher-end variant. Today, the new Tone Free earbuds are available to purchase in the U.S.

Both the HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4 models are powered by Meridian's Headphone Spatial Processing technology for a loudspeaker-like listening experience. The more expensive HBS-FN6 variant, in particular, comes with a charging case that features UVnano. LG claims this technology can kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria using ultraviolet light during the charging cycle. A single charge can get you up to six hours of listening time. The charging case can also fully juice up the earbuds up to three times before it drains.

If you're looking for earbuds with noise canceling features, the Tone Free may not be your thing. However, there's noise isolation for each pair, thanks to the eartips. The accessories also include protection from water splash, rain, and sweat with the IPX4 rating. HBS-FN6 is available to purchase for $149.99 and the HBS-FN4 for $99.99 via LG's online marketplace.
