Cyberpunk 2077 PC system requirements aren't that demanding

Following multiple delays, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally releasing next month, and during its latest Night City Wire broadcast, CD Projekt RED unveiled the PC system requirements for the highly anticipated RPG.

The specifications are split into minimum and recommended sections, as seen below, but it doesn’t go into detail on what sort of frame rates can players expect on each spec or the resolution they need to be running. The listed hardware isn't asking for the highest-end products available either, with even the recommended section essentially needing mid-range equipment.

Here are the requirements in text form:

Minimum:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 12
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • Storage: 70 GB HDD (SSD recommended)

Recommended:

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • DirectX Version: DirectX 12
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • Memory: 12GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon R9 Fury
  • Storage: SDD (70 GB)

It is possible that the developer will share another more demanding tier of system requirements for players looking to maximize fidelity, maybe at 4K resolution. The game is set to support ray-tracing technologies on the PC, and the current recommended GPUs don't really cut it for that.

CD Projekt RED also shared a couple of new trailers today which can be seen above. The first showcases the various gangs that inhabit Night City, while the second, more fast-paced trailer, delves into various parts of the city and activities players can partake in.

Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 19, with a Google Stadia version coming a little later. The title will also be playable on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles, though their exclusive enhancements will arrive at a later date.
