Logitech introduces the MX Anywhere 3 mouse with a MagSpeed scroll wheel

It's been over three years since Logitech introduced the MX Anywhere 2s mouse, but today, the Swiss accessory maker introduced its successor, the MX Anywhere 3. In terms of specs, the new iteration is fairly similar, featuring the same Darkfield high precision tracking, which allows for it to be used on any surface, including glass. It also support Logitech Flow, so you can use it with up to three devices at the same time.

One of the notable changes is that the MX Anywhere 3 comes with a new MagSpeed scroll wheel, which is made out of machined steel. The mouse can scroll up to 1,000 lines per second, but it can actually switch automatically between "hyperfast" and ratchet modes, which lets you scroll slowly, click by click. The previous iteration required users to click a button to switch between modes.

Another notable change that helps make the mouse more modern is the adoption of USB Type-C for charging, replacing the micro/USB connector of the MX Anywhere 2s. Battery capacity is similar, though, with a full charge lasting up to 70 days, and a one-minute charge granting three hours of use. The previous model touts a "full day of usage" with a three-minute charge, but that promise is based on an eight-hour work day.

Aside from that, the new mouse features a more streamlined design with silicone grips on the sides, and it comes in three colors - pale gray, rose pink, and graphite. The mouse comes in two variants: the regular MX Anywhere 3 and the MX Anywhere 3 for Mac, though looking at the product pages, it's not immediately obvious that there's any difference between the two. The Mac model only comes in Pale Gray, however.

Both models are available to buy today for $79.99, and preorders can be placed in European markets for €92.99.
