deep1234
Hello. I am planning to add sound speaker in every room of the house. I am just asking if there is a sound system that I can install in Linux and manages the speakers for me. Other than buying a ready make solutions. Also, it would be better if it supports docker also. Thanks,
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted March 8, 2021 Moderator Share Posted March 8, 2021 Most distros have sound software built in. So you really don't need to add anything. I think they work with docker, too.
+BudMan MVC Posted March 8, 2021 MVC Share Posted March 8, 2021 What sort of speakers are you planning on putting in exactly.. Something like sonos sort of speakers, Bluetooth, just old school wired speakers connected to some receiver or avr?
deep1234
I don't have any plans for the speakers yet. But the idea was to find a good software and based on the supported brands in that software I would select the speakers.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted March 9, 2021 Moderator Share Posted March 9, 2021 (edited) PulseAudio is usually included in most disto's. It does a great amount of functionality. It did that with my 2x headsets (USB and 3.5mm jack) and my bluetooth speakers.
