kiddingguy
Last year I bought the Asus ROG Strix GL731GV-EV026T. I fine, nice gaming notebook with 16GB RAM. It's running fine. Currently not having (RAM) issues. Though, I am wondering: what if I put 32GB RAM in it. Is it noticeable for gaming, and/or daily usage of Office apps, a bit of browsing, using SnagIt/Camtasia etc. Or... is this just plain overkill for this rig? adrynalyne
Depends on your use case. My MBP has 64GB in it. If you are expecting speed increases, don’t, unless you were running out of RAM.

Jason S. Global Moderator Posted May 11, 2021 Global Moderator Share Posted May 11, 2021 the only benefit would be if youre combining your daily work and gaming simultaneously. i have nothing more than two browsers open currently, and my laptop is using over 10GB of the 16GB. If you can find some cheap, compatible RAM, why not? Mindovermaster 1 Share
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted May 11, 2021 Moderator Share Posted May 11, 2021 I have 32GB RAM. Currently I run half of that, 16GB. I'm running lots of VM's right now. So, yeah, depends upon your use case.
