Some programs I wrote

Recommended Posts

These are some simple programs I wrote. I haven't updated most of them in over a year, I just thought some of you might find them useful. Enjoy. :)

Byte Calculator

Instantly convert between different data measurements. Bytes, Kibibytes, Megabits, etc. Also includes the data capacities of CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, Floppy, and HD-DVD.

You can also load the size of multiple files and folders by dragging them into the program.

Number List Generator

I wrote this at the request of somebody here on this forum. However, somebody beat me to that. I finished the utility anyways.

Four modes: Ordered, Reversed, Shuffled, and Random.

Shuffle and Random use CryptGenRandom, a secure random generator built into Windows.

PassTrainer

This program contains a simple password generator, but its main purpose is to help you memorize new passwords. It does this by splitting the password into groups of 4 characters, and making you type it over and over again.

StegHideUI

This is simply a GUI for a command line utility called Steghide. You can use this program to encrypt and hide files in JPEG, BMP, WAV, and AU in such a way that a user cannot tell there is even a hidden file.

You must download the Steghide Windows package separately.

XBinGen

XBinGen lets you generate secure key files. The key files simply contain random binary data. They can be used in some encryption software, including TrueCrypt.

Read the help file to learn what all of the options do.
