      Did some remote support for someone over the weekend. She was having problem printing over wifi to her 6 year old canon inkjet printer. (F***iNG wifi printers). We couldn't get it to print. Finally I just put it down to the printer's WIfi.
       
      She said she got that printer because the last printer she got the ink was more expensive as the printer. 
       
      The printer was still usable over USB from their desktop computer. I told her to keep that printer for her kids to use to print color stuff and for her to get a nice multi fuction wireless b&w laser printer. She seemed to be very open to the idea.
       
      So that's where I left it.
       
      Then I had to call her back for something and she said "I went out and bought a new printer.... a $40 canon inkjet" *FACE PALM*  *Why do I even waste my breath*
       
      She did go on to say she got the printer successfully connected to wifi and could print from her computer and phone.

      My voice mail server on a segregated network. It's main job is to record the caller ID information for anyone who calls and send me a text message. A while ago the system was truly unreliable. After a day or a week it would stop recording caller ID  unless the system was restarted.
       
      Must have been a windows update. So I reloaded the Little intel Celeron NUC and capped it at updates from 2016 and it's been rock solid.
       
      It's never used other than recording caller ID info and texting me and it has no access to any other machines. So I just leave it alone and so far it's almost gone 300 days strong.
