  4. Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 17134.984 - here's what's new by Rich Woods Patch Tuesday was less than a week ago, and while it's not uncommon for Microsoft to release updates in the middle of the month, the company seems to be getting a head start on things. Over the weekend, the firm released updates for all supported versions of the OS except for 1903 and 1803. Now, it's time for version 1803 to get some love. According to the latest AdDuplex report, the Windows 10 May 2018 Update is still installed on 53.7% of Windows 10 machines. This is despite the fact that two feature updates have been released since then. Nevertheless, patches for version 1803 are important because so many people are still using it. Users on version 1803 will get KB4512509, bringing the build number to 17134.984. You can manually download it here, and these are the highlights: Updates an issue that unintentionally removed Windows Hello credentials. Updates an issue that causes the Settings page to stop working and occasionally prevents default applications from being set properly. Updates an issue with downloading copyrighted digital media (music, TV shows, movies, and so on) from certain websites using Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. Here's the full list of fixes: Addresses an issue with downloading digital rights management (DRM) files from certain websites using Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer. Addresses an issue that causes Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) to intermittently stop responding while deprovisioning some preinstalled apps using the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Addresses an issue in which the default keyboard for the English (Cyprus) (en-CY) locale was not set properly. Addresses an issue that causes the Settings page to stop working and occasionally prevents default applications from being set properly. Addresses an issue that causes a query request of the Win32_LogonSession class for the StartTime to display the value of the epoch (for example, 1-1-1601 1:00:00) instead of the actual logon time. This occurs when a user who isn’t an administrator creates the query request. Addresses an issue that causes a Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) call to connect to the Windows PE (WinPE) host fails with the error, “0x80070721.” Addresses an issue that prevents an App-V application from opening and displays a network failure error. This issue occurs under certain circumstances, such as when a system's battery is low or there is an unexpected power failure. Addresses an issue that unintentionally removed Windows Hello credentials after installing KB4489894. Addresses a rare issue that causes Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) to temporarily prevent other processes from accessing files. Addresses an issue that causes a workstation to stop working when you sign in using an updated user principal name (UPN) (for example, changing UserN@contoso.com to User.Name@contoso.com). Addresses an issue in which Windows Defender Application Control will not allow third-party binaries to be loaded from a Universal Windows Platform application. CodeIntegrity event error 3033 appears as, “Code Integrity determined that a process () attempted to load that did not meet the Store signing level requirements.” Addresses an issue that may break the domain trust when the Recycle Bin is configured on the domain that carries the trust. Addresses an issue that prevents some users from receiving a TTL value when they are added as members of Shadow Principals. This occurs for users who have distinguished names (DN) that contain an escape character. The TTL value is now added as expected. Addresses an issue that may prevent devices from starting when they start up using Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) images from Windows Deployment Services (WDS) or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). The error is, "Status: 0xc0000001, Info: A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed." Addresses an issue that may cause the following to stop responding: Applications that were made using Visual Basic 6 (VB6). Macros that use Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Scripts or apps that use Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript). You may also receive an "Invalid procedure call” error. There are also a couple of known issues to be aware of: Symptom Workaround Certain operations, such as rename, that you perform on files or folders that are on a Cluster Shared Volume (CSV) may fail with the error, “STATUS_BAD_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL (0xC00000A5)”. This occurs when you perform the operation on a CSV owner node from a process that doesn’t have administrator privilege. Do one of the following: Perform the operation from a process that has administrator privilege. Perform the operation from a node that doesn’t have CSV ownership. Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release. We are investigating reports that a small number of devices may startup to a black screen during the first logon after installing updates. To mitigate this issue, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, then select the Power button in the lower right corner of the screen and select Restart. Your device should now restart normally. We are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release. While the Windows 10 May 2018 Update is still reportedly the most popular version of Windows 10, support for it does end on November 12. Because of that, Microsoft is in the process of moving anyone on version 1803 to version 1903. Today's update is an optional update, meaning that it won't install automatically. If you check for updates via Windows Update, you'll be presented with a link to download and install it.

What about outlets that control the state, like Fox News? Because of that key differentiator, they wouldn’t be banned. Nor would Sinclair. (But it may include the BBC, as it’s funded via a tax and has government surveillance powers to investigate those not paying the license)

    DD-WRT and Asus RT-AC5300 question.

This is meant as a discussion board.. If your going to ask to do something that doesn't make a lot of sense, to get asked why. I get it he might not use the device like me, or others.. But the point is - once you set the thing for the ssid you want, and the psk... Unless your going to be doing something fancier with it.. Which the native firmware doesn't have any way to do.. There is not reason to go look at it every day.. Its like watching a BW channel on your color TV.. What does it mater if the TV can do color if your just going to use it for BW.. Taking away the ability of it to do color makes no sense..

What about outlets that control the state, like Fox News? If you think it's only fox news that is pushing a narrative then you're delusional. https://twitter.com/DavidJHarr...s/1163265345710247936?s=20" rel="external nofollow">https://twitter.com/DavidJHarr...us/1163265345710247936?s=20 Most of these news outlets are all owned by the same people. Fox news isnt state controlled, just conservative that feed to a certain demographic. 90% (exaggerating) of that station is all commentary and opinions anyway. The link you referenced is actually originally sourced from deadspin that made light of sinclair (a far right broadcast group) that purchased a lot of local new stations in order to peddle and benefit their conservative agenda. It is sick and disgusting, but not state controlled. Kind of funny a guy wearing Trump 2020 would show that video since sinclair is pro-trump. 14. It looks too aesthetically close to Destiny. I feel like too many games are trying for that feel these days and it's just an instant turn-off.
  15. I miss the realistic/mature graphics in the original AoE 1 and 2. Wish they'd bring those back. Today's RTS games are too cartoon-like.

    DD-WRT and Asus RT-AC5300 question.

Could it be that not everyone uses their devices like you? It's pretty simple IMO, the OP wants to use the stock firmware. It really is that simple. Now, whether you or myself believe that is the best choice, is a whole other story. If it works for OPs needs, great. No need to continue harping on the OP for their decision to run stock firmware on their device.

  19. Dock in orbit with an SLS ICPS upper stage, separately launched. AKA: Distributed Launch NASA Admin. Bridenstine said flat out the only vehicle-side docking system the US has with a flight history is SpaceX's version of the International Docking Adapter, so ICPS would need to use "IDA-X" to dock with Orion. "IDA-X" is also simpler and cheaper than Boeing's unit. Boeing developed IDA, it is used on ISS and Orion, and SpaceX's version has docked with it (Crew Dragon DM-1).

  23. To be clear, Windows 10 in S Mode could always install Win32 apps through the Microsoft Store. What's changing here is Microsoft is allowing Win32 apps to be installed through Windows InTune in an Enterprise setting.
  24. And as far as hardware that uses low-light mode, apparently you have not heard of Pixels (all of them)? It's a feature implemented by either software or with hardware assistance in all of them - that could be why Duo is gaining the feature. (Duo is part of the stock app set for Pie and Q.) While I don't use Duo either (I use Facebook/Facebook Messenger and Skype), having Duo as an option on my Pixel 3a is not exactly minus - considering this feature. (Further, with my mom joining #teampixel this week - her Pixel XL is due Tuesday - we can keep in touch by using a video app that nobody else uses - as opposed to using an app that everybody and their cousins uses - which, unfortunately, IS the case with Facebook/Messenger, and even Skype; be honest, don't you use WHAT you use due to its popularity? That is why I use Facebook/Messenger, and even Skype.)
  25. Lots of tropes in that trailer (and my comment) That said, I'd like to play as the Rayonne. Human meat-sacks are overrated. I welcome our machine overlords and machine future.
  26. That is already present in build 1903.
