Do you have an Android or an iPhone?

I am in the sam boat. I originally got the second number as it actually saved me 25 bucks a month as i got a discount from going from 3 to 4 phones. Could not say no and it gave me a local number.

Disk cloning takes ages; what's wrong?

Yes. I was getting pretty hot indeed. It's a SSK SHE-C325 casing. == I reinstalled Windows 11 on the new SSD. All going well. Will reinstall all software & games later this weekend. Thx for all the help & comments!
  8. This basically effects every chromium browser that is not named Chrome.exe or Edge.exe (Brave, Vivaldi,Opera...etc). Nasty move, AMD.

  11. Wine 8.4 released with initial native support for Wayland by Paul Hill If you’ve ever tried to get a Windows program running on Linux, there’s a good chance you’ve come across Wine. This compatibility layer allows you to run, with varying degrees of success, Windows programs in Linux. Now, the developers have done initial work on the Wayland graphics driver so that it’s closer to working properly under the newer Wayland display server that is trying to replace X11. This early-stage work on the Wayland driver was contributed by Alexandros Frantzis, here are the release notes pertaining to these improvements: winewayland.drv: Add initial driver stub. winewayland.drv: Add initial unixlib stub. winewayland.drv: Perform basic per-process Wayland initialization. win32u: Allow drivers to set the null user driver. winewayland.drv: Report basic monitor information. winewayland.drv: Report all advertised monitor modes to Wine. As you can probably tell from reading the above information, the Wayland driver is not ready for end users to take advantage of just yet but it shows that the developers are now working to introduce native Wayland support. Aside from initial work on Wayland, Wine 8.4 delivers clean-ups in IME support, a number of test fixes, and various bug fixes. You can find binary packages for your distribution on the Wine download page. Source: WineHQ via Phoronix
  12. Don't they ever learn. They can't bundle/integrate crap like this, in an effort to lock out the competition.
  13. Well, in their defense, that's just temporary, the underlying issue wasn't fixed, and hardcoding file names to apply a fix isn't a great coding practice, IMO.
  14. I think you might wanna research the rest of the world to avoid sounding clueless. Where I'm from the employee is guaranteed 26 weeks’ maternity leave. Sorry meant 26 weeks’ PAID maternity leave. And during this time they cant be fired by the employer. https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employment/employment_rights_and_conditions/leave_and_holidays/maternity_leave.html This picture you are trying to paint about us workers having it easy is a big lie they have **** all protection.
  15. Call me crazy but I would not be at all surprised if they release this game to critical acclaim only to bait and switch in slimy microtransactions and boosters after the glowing reviews are all done. Hope im wrong but time will tell.
  16. Truly sad to hear about this.
  17. Hardly America. No one would get away with that crap in most western democracies with decent labour laws
  18. They were promised six months, then laid off during that time. In America that's a winnable lawsuit, since a contract was broken after the fact.

  20. Yandex complains then makes a change in their code to help resolve the issue. Weird PR.
  21. Yeah, very pretty on a press release, but yet in the real world they force the use of Edge anywhere they can, like in the taskbar, Start menu and other "connected experiences". I like Edge, is my main browser and I enjoy using it, but come on, forcing something onto people isn't very nice. But yeah, yeah, control and all that stuff... The classic Microsoft org chart can explain this one. Some things just never change. https://www.globalnerdy.com/wo.../07/microsoft-org-chart.jpg
  22. While I'm sure Yandex could ask nicely to be added to the compatibility list, AMD really should detect Chromium with a broader heuristic. There are a lot of Electron apps out there that would likely benefit similarly.
