XP Restart Icon

Recommended Posts

Im trying to find the green XP restart icon. I've looked through a load of system files can can't find the icon. Does anyone know where it is stored so that I can add it into my restart shortcut on the desktop.

Thanks.

i don't think that's an icon, i think its part of the standard luna theme that comes with xp, if you get somthing like reshack you could extract the bitmap and use that as a icon if you wanted but i'm not sure where abouts in the file it is... but it's almost definatly somewhere in luna.theme

:D

I've found it, reshacked

C:\WINDOWS\system32\msgina.dll
and it's in there :)

Only thing is, as it has curved corners, that are supposed to be transparent, they're pink.. how do I make the curved corners actually transparent so that i'll look exactly the same as the other two.

Thanks.

Its a bitmap file inside msgina.dll which is in System32 in Windows folder. Use Reshacker to open it and export the .bmp

The bitmap contains all 3 buttons in their various states so you will need to edit it.

\edit

Got to it before me :D
