To renew or not. That is the question. So much anger and disrespect rearing its ugly head here. And I'm no snowflake just an old glacier, but global warming has hit Neowin.

I've started looking for a house. Probably both the most exciting and terrifying thing I've ever done.

I'm disappointed with LG. For nearly 3 years I've had a LG G4. The phone specs were fantastic on paper. It had everything I wanted in a phone. A good camera, removable battery, good processor, lots of memory and storage. Most importantly, the usual 2 years of LG's software support. My phone had some bugs to begin with. I know, no software is perfect, bugs were fixed after a few months, and new ones would appear. When I hit 11 months, my phone died (bootloop), thanks to a hardware flaw. So, it was replaced. After one year, updates slowed. Bugs went unfixed, security patches never arrived. LG, who announced 2 major Android upgrades became silent. It was apparent that this phone would not get 2 upgrades, unlike the G3 or the V10. So, nearly 3 years later, I had a choice. Another LG? Pixel? HTC? Samsung? I've used Google and HTC in the past and I liked them. The Pixel 2 XL looked great. HTC's choices were pretty good. Samsung still expensive. After careful thought, I decided that LG isn't a company I want to work with anymore. The Pixel 2XL is basically an LG and the HTC didn't quite do it for me. So, I bought a Galaxy S9+, many years after giving up my Galaxy S2. It was expensive, WAY more expensive, but it turns out, it was worth it. So, thank you LG. Your choices to cut your losses with the G4 made me try something new, and I'm much happier for it.

Hi Mando, Thank you for the offer. I received a call from the scammer again, trying to suck me into giving him control of the computer. Guess what I told him to do? Now my screen goes black at times, and remains so for several minutes. The last time I had to kill power and reboot to get running again. As you have a good rep on NEOWIN, I’ll trust you to help me if you can.

It's retpoline, not Riptoline. Need to fix it in BOTH your articles related to the CPU vulnerabilities.

Fixed: Referencing ASUS Ai Suite II not loading after KB4056892 security patch. I have no idea why this works ... but installing KB4073290 (you know, the one for "AMD devices fall into an unbootable state.") brought my Ai Suite II back to life...on my Intel setup. Whatever. At least it's working ... but whatever.

It's sad what has happened to the technology industry - NO QUALITY CONTROL. Everyone has the sell-broken-first, fix-it-later mentality.

2018 predictions: Microsoft closes Cortana, decouples it from Windows 10, and partners with Amazon for a third rate Alexa app that isn't integrated into the OS. Microsoft removes movies from the Windows Store and closes the Movies and TV app. Microsoft doesn't release any new Surface products. Surface line gradually decreases in mind share and market share. At least one major app developer pulls their app from the decaying Windows Store. Probably Twitter or Instagram. Consumer interest in Windows 10 further declines. Satya Nadella gives some BS speech about the future of Microsoft being Azure. Somehow Microsoft'd board is still satisfied with their CEO.
