These people must really think their voters are thick. They're going to recruit 10,000 police with a cost ranging between £300k and £217m (because why actually give a real figure)? They're also going to buy back the whole railway, all electricity companies, all water companies, all gas companies, and royal mail. And where will this gigantic void of money just magically appear from?4 points -

Sounds like one of the many shallow promises our politicians make in the States. Maybe they crossed the pond by mistake; feel free to return to sender if you find them. Don't bother with the tracking number though, if it gets lost in transit, nothing of value would be lost. 🤷♂️3 points -

Borrowing and taxing the rich a bit more. Running a country, is not like running a household. If all you have is private firms driving down wages to increase profits those employees have no money left after bills and don't buy anything (christmas shopping is down), this in turn causes businesses to collapse (see the high street). It's all well and good saying you want to be responsible with money and sometimes you do need austerity measures but the IMF etc have said that austerity has gone on for too long in the UK. On another note, I'm fed up of stepping over homeless people even in my town where there ought to be none at all. I wonder what kind of effect it has on the spreading of disease?2 points -

It will be costed and in the manifesto just like 2017. Most of it will be paid for by profits made by customers paying for services like water/gas/electricity, but rather than a chunk being skimmed off for the wealthy company shareholders it is reinvested into improvements, or making other services, like broadband, free.2 points -
Google starts upgrading Android Messages to RCS in the U.S.
matthiew and one other reacted to Ccl Ncc for a topic
At least android brings everyone to 2011, instead of keeping it to flock of sheep Wait, are you suggesting it's Apple's responsibility to bring a good messenger to Android? Also, should I also be mad that Google doesn't release Messages to iOS? Feels like I might as well yell at the wall... Google can't release messages to ios, as ios does not allow app access to messages. But RCS is open and can be used by any company, so hopefully apple will be using it may be in next 5-7 years if RCS succeeds.2 points -

You can think of Nitro as Discord+. It adds stuff like more emote slots for servers, gif support for profile pictures, and more. Up until...mid October if I remember correctly, Nitro subscribers also got access to quite a large percentage of the games Discord was selling through its own store. It's only the game store component that was axed. Nitro is still around and has existed even before they got into the game distribution business.2 points -

It looks a heck of a lot darker than D3 to me. If visuals were only about that, I could just adjust the brightness slider on my monitor. LOL, when people say it looks darker, they rarely mean the visuals. i hope you were joking, but darker usually refers to overall tone/theme of the story. not brightness.2 points -

... and as I wrote, comparing numbers between two different systems means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It's completely unscientific and worthless. Besides, you haven't even provided any numbers to begin with, no average FPS, no min 1%, no information on the game settings and resolution, nothing, and yet expect to be taken seriously. You are not worth to me wasting time and providing any numbers for. No hard feelings. That’s precisely what someone who can’t back their sh*t up says.1 point -

I am waiting for beyond the steel sky- but no realese date yet.. I know fo Life is Strange. Anything else?? Thanks!1 point -
Microsoft reveals first wave of aircraft partners for Flight Simulator, drops new trailer
LoneWolfSL reacted to Sszecret for a topic
With a sim there's always going to be a segment of really dedicated folks that play it for its accuracy and immersive nature. Then there are people like me who play these kinds of things mostly to relax. For example, I'd play Euro Truck Sim while listening to podcasts or audiobooks, and it works quite well for that purpose. Imagine streamers playing these kinds of games and interacting with their community, or even better still for something like Flight Sim, a VR implementation. That'd be cool to see.1 point -

What platform are you playing on? Not quite story drive decision games, but I find that there are a lot of games from Indie developers that are shorter (and work well when you can't commit the time) Life is Strange is a good one. A few others that I really enjoyed Valiant Hearts: The Great War Limbo Pneuma: Breath of Life The Park Firewatch (my top pick) Brothers1 point -

Ragnarok Game is the publisher, though EGS (and other digital store fronts only show Human Head) is the only place to get the game on PC right now - Ragnarok came out and said they still plan to launch it on other PC stores in 2020. And that they will get a team together as quickly as they can that will work on updates for the game still. They also said they had no idea HHS was going to close down, are were completely caught off guard about it. Something about this whole thing strikes me as shady. I can't put my finger on it, but something seems off.1 point -

But why? It's not active page anyway, what difference does it make what color it is? Scroll bar is of the same color as the rest of browser. It blends well with that instead of webpage. After the change it will blend with webpage, but not with rest of interface. They are literally swapping one for the other. Pointless waste of resources if you ask me. But that's Mozilla. Their priorities are total mess.1 point -
