  7. Ai's are cheating ###### and should be banned everywhere. Pairing zero action latency, access to all locations of map in strategy games at once, queuing of actions even if human can't do them or just brute forcing the outcome makes it impossible for human to compete. Not because we're stupid, but because it's not even a same playing field.

Hello, I have updated the URL in your post to https://www.adata.com/us/specification/152, which is the actual specification page for the ADATA DDR3-1600 DIMM memory module. Having the actual specifications for the RAM to look at may be more helpful to forum members who are trying to assist you, @John Robi. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky

  14. We have begun proactive outreach to many accounts who have not logged into Twitter in over six months. I'm totally cool with them doing this, but knowing some people who've taken a (necessary) hiatus from Twitter, a 2 week heads up is kinda short. Should've started with the accounts older than 1 year first imo, but again... not complaining. Twitter is full of garbage and the more they get rid of, the better.

  17. Google explains why Stadia games are not running at 4K

Google are using Radeon Instinct cards based on Vega (as I understand it the Google claims line up with the performance levels of a Vega 56), which are evidently not going to do 4k in quite a lot of games without some compromises. Personally I think Google rushed the launch when they should have waited on Navi based instinct cards that can actually do 4k60 in most titles.

  18. Go figure, launch it on Steam and not just Origin and hey - sales records! Amazing. That's what happens when you don't have platform (or client) exclusivity. That being said, I understand wanting to have your own game on your own whatever. But in this day and age when nearly everything is digital now - having it on just ONE single whatever isn't such a smart idea anymore. Especially when you keep it to one store front over another, and when that other one is the biggest PC store around. Just saying.

  20. Problems since upgrading to Windows 10 - Please help

Hello, You might want to consider updating to the 2011-era BIOS that Gigabyte issued for your motherboard, available for download from https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-X58A-UD3R-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios. Even though it is listed as a beta test build, the fact that it hasn't been updated in eight years means it is likely quite stable. Likewise, visiting Intel's website to download the latest Windows 10 device drivers available for the motherboard's X58 chipset might help as well. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky

  21. Just bought a Lenovo S340

Shoot...you'd probably be able to add a NVMe SSD to that notebook and keep the regular hard as storage/infrequently used programs drive. I'm sure you could find a decent 250-500GB NVMe drive for around 60 bucks. Would have to double check the specs on the notebook (this is just a "drive by" post on my phone)...but I beat you could add a 2280 NVMe SSD or 2280 SATA SSD.

6 months seems a bit peculiar. I suppose if you registered and had zero activity in that time, then sure, kill it. Maybe start with like no activity for three years or something?

  25. It should be, check now and see what the cheapest One S with a disc drive is, I don't think there's anything out for $149.99. The One S is $200, so the normal price of the One SAD should be $150... If it was really $100 off you should get it for $50 then. Is that price for the S the normal price it's been or a sale price? Either way, it's $50 less than whatever the normal S is priced at which is what MS said would be the case. I think the wording of the article is off, as the digital edition started at $249 back when the S itself was higher to.

  31. The Mandalorian

If IMDB info is correct, ep4 to 8 are all marked at 30mins. The longest ep so far has been the first at 37'ish or so. But yeah probably cost, I'm sure they filmed it all in one go like a movie with a smaller budget and just let the editing cut it up into 8 eps. They could've done for example 6 eps and made each longer and it would've been the same probably. I believe they did 8 because that's as many episodes as they could make out of it though, you know, to keep people on D+ longer.

Punch hole, curved edges=do not want. Headphone jack, iris scanner and notification LED=Want. Samsung is doing exactly the opposite. The ultrasonic fingerprint is also ###### in current version vs optical.

  41. Google explains why Stadia games are not running at 4K

    * Google = I will launch a new service that everybody is saying to me that it will fail. * Stadia launch (It tanked). * Google = Surprised Pikachu. It is because Google tried to hide the elephant in the room. The quality of Stadia is not only measured by the bandwidth but also the lag and the stability of the network. The lag is tenfold times more important than the bandwidth. So, some people think "hey, I have a +100mbps connection, so I can play Stadia at 4k"... well, nope.

  43. Problems since upgrading to Windows 10 - Please help

yeah if the manufacturer hasn't released a BIOS update since 2010 then it's possible there could be compatibility issues with it on Windows 10. you may be able to download a 3rd party tool to control the fan speed since the auto adjustment isn't working. Newegg has a list of 3rd party fan control softwares you could try https://www.newegg.com/insider/cpu-fan-control-software-buying-guide/ and here's another good looking one not listed on Newegg's list https://www.argusmonitor.com/en/fan_control.php

  48. The way I see it is that it's a chicken-egg problem, in which Microsoft is providing the chicken first. The Surface Pro X is a sacrifice that needs to happen in order for apps to get supported. Exactly! The nutshell version of most of the reviews I read is the reviewer complaining that it should have an Intel chip instead because the apps they use aren't available for ARM64. Well duh, nobody is going to build apps for ARM64 without a device to run them on. Seems the only review that seems to get it is the one here on neowin the other day. |Well then it are good reviews. They need to warn the regular consumers of it's limitations. These are devices for app developers or techies who know what they are getting into. Otherwise we will have another Windows RT disaster where people buy devices without knowing the limits beforehand.
