  6. Either that or no monthly fee and you only buy the games I wonder if they make it out of the growing pains... I pity the early adopters. I doubt they can do that, if there is no monthly fee, Google will only get a one off cut per game sale and if say someone buys RDR 2 and clocks up hundreds of hours, Google still have to pay for all that hardware and bandwidth use and I doubt a one off cut from the games is going to cut that. Which begs the question about that free 1080p tier, I suspect if too many gamers jump onto that, they will likely scrap it. The hardware is still there for the end user, they still need to get money from users to upgrade their hardware, they're limiting the power developers can use (Destiny 2), users can't pick graphics settings and get stuck with uncompetitive configurations... The value isn't there. Especially when if you want streaming, today we can do remote play and stream from our own consoles and that will only improve, and there are subscriptions that complement our consoles that allow for more streaming options like PSNow and xCloud, and with PSNow and GamePass you can fall back on downloading to play locally... Alphabet are going to have a very hard time convincing people to pick their option. The thing is with Destiny 2 is when you look at how well that game runs on the PC and the tflops that Google says developers can use, that games isn't performing anywhere like it should, the resolution should be much higher with all the setting on max but clearly that isn't the case so it begs the question, if developers do have access to 10.7 tflops, why are the results so poor? with that kind of hardware, all the games should look better than the One X and should compete well with higher end PC's but it's clear that isn't the case with many games looking worse than the One X, so there is more to it then just saying developers can choose how to use the hardware as there is no reason for them not to ramp things up unless Google are restrictive them from doing so, if they are, it's likely so to not use as much hardware power which lowers the cost for Google. Don't get me wrong, there is some merit to streaming games but the way Google is doing it doesn't make much sense at the moment, it's worse visuals, it cost more over the long run and you don't own any of the games you buy, not to mention everything else from lack of flexibility, needing a good internet connection and so on. For Stadia to really take off, the price of the games will have to drop a lot because at the moment, they cost quite a lot more than PC gaming and thanks to that, the savings on the games makes PC gaming cheaper and that is more the case for consoles even thought games are a bit more expensive on consoles, it's cheaper to buy a console for about half the price of building a decent PC rig but overall, the PC still seems the best option at the moment.

Yet here we are today, with people of a particular religion... being rounded up into camps, to "re-educate" them. And when news outlets are allowed in to "investigate", it's like a big choreographed event (as they describe it), much like North Korea does when they allow media inside. News to the contrary though continues to spill out... It's like people forgot how the Jews were pushed into ghettoes before being transported to concentration camps. Makes me wonder how much worse things will get, before people figure it out... An alternative perspective is that the Uighurs are the group that the US is targeting with their jihad training program. These Muslims shouldn't be doing the US' dirty work in the region and they wouldn't be in reeducation camps. Alternative perspective? If it's the same box you get alternative facts from, you can keep all that. I'm just gonna nope.gif out of this conversation because YIKES. We can find any "alternative perspective" and "alternative facts" as we wish. Like Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and Mao were all angels actually (: It doesn't change the truth, though.

  9. No it was not legal. Crimea has been part of Russia for centuries. Stalin merged it with the Ukraine during the Soviet era. Crimeans never wanted to be Ukrainian. They voted to go back home. Just because it ###### off the Europeans doesn't mean it was illegal. "Crimea has been part of Russia for centuries." - one of the many lies repeated by brainwashed russkies. Do you know how Crimea became "always primordially Russian"? Until 1783 there were no Russians in Crimea. The composition of the Crimean population in the 1770s was: 454,700 people (92.6% of Crimean Tatars, 4% of Armenians, 3.1% of Greeks, 0.3% of Crimean and Karaites). Indigenous population consisted of Crimean Tatars who lived there for centuries. In 1783, the Russian Empire occupied Crimea and immediately began destruction and expelling of indigenous people from Crimea and started to import Russians. With Russians came Ukrainians. In 1944, Russia forcibly expelled the last native Crimean. In 1948, the USSR adopted a decree on renaming Crimean areas from Tatar names to Russian. So, in *165* years, Russia took homeland from the Crimean people and Crimea became "primordially Russian." In 1954, the Crimean region was transferred from the Russian SFSR to the Ukrainian SSR. In 1956, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR issued a decree and allowed the return of the Crimean Tatars to their homeland. In 1979, the population of Crimean Tatars slowly began to grow (0.5%). Until 2014, their population grew to 13%. In 2014, Russia returned back, started persecution of natives and started to make Crimea into "always primordially Russian" territory again. Russians remind me Germans during the war. Their citizens are spreading destruction, occupy territories, support state terrorism and corrupt dictator, who is incapable to make country prosper (despite being 2% of World population sitting on 30% of all World natural resources) and think that they are the "good guys" because of the state TV propaganda.

These Muslims shouldn't be doing the US' dirty work in the region and they wouldn't be in reeducation camps. China's tyranny isn't something new and it's not related to the US at all actually. Communist Chinese government has been tyrannizing over the non-Chinese people for years, -killing- mostly Uighurs. Just like USSR was tyrannizing over Kazakhs and other Turkic/Mongol people because they weren't Russian, and had their own religions. Jihadist Uighurs already went to Syria and got killed there. Now, China is just torturing innocents for pleasure and claim they're all -probable- terrorists. In brief, any human being that doesn't worship the Communist Party of China is a terrorist. See Hong Kong, at least they're braver than Uighurs thanks to the media, world is watching so China can't massacre them easily, but can massacre Uighurs and nobody will ever see. And if the US is untrustable, then China is way more untrustable for sure. TL;DR: It's extremely easy to claim that someone is a "terrorist" nowadays, especially if it's a Muslim. This is quite unethical.

  11. Is this autonomous IPv6 allocation?

And which "experts" are these? Some guy with a tinfoil hat doesn't make him an expert Windows 10 has link-local with ipv6 just like any other device that has support for IPv6.. Unless you completely disable IPv6 on the win10 machine it will have link-local address.. link-local is required for NDP to function... And prob some other stuff that can not think of off the top of my head this early in the morning. If you are not actively going to use ipv6, and take the time to properly set it up, then sure you can disable it at your router.. But the proper use of ipv6 does not allow for tracking or hacking of your device just because its using IPv6.

  12. Armageddon Cookies -an Original Warwagon Cookie Recipe

The other day I was going ot make cookies but was short some of the ingredients so I just skipped them. So I coined the term "Armageddon Cookie" . An Armageddon Cookie is when you want to bake cookies but it's the Armageddon so you are short a few ingredients and you have to get creative. The ingredients I did not have and left out where Backing Soda Brown Sugar Vanilla In the case of baking soda I figured it had something to do with helping the cookie rise, so I was looking around my house for some and found a package of corn bread mix. I thought, corn bread rises, lets use that!! In an attempt to make it healthier I reduced the sugar and used wheat flower. The end result is on the best cookies I have personally ever tasted. Armageddon Cookies It makes around 48 cookies. (The photo is for thanksgiving, I made two batches). It’s probably one of the more healthy cookies. 1 cup sugar 6 eggs 1 tsp salt 2 soft sticks of unsalted butter. 2.5 cups of Wheat Flour 2 boxes of Cornbread muffin mix. The .80 cent ones. Add all the ingredients into a bowl and stir until thoroughly mixed. Roll sticky dough into little balls with flowered Hands or use a cookie scoop. Preheat oven to 375F and bake for 12 min. Now go make some!!!!! Then let me know what you think. If you only want to make a few just use have of each ingredient listed.

  20. Oh ###### off. You want the services of millions of people to stop working just because you don't like them? People like me would be screwed if you just blocked Gmail. Not to mention Youtube and hell, my phone! QQ. Anti-competitive practices should not be encouraged and people should not look the other way just because it suits little ol’ you. But is it anti-competitive or just customers preferring Google? It's not their job to advertise for their competition. Sometimes you have to face the reality that nobody wants the product from you. Well, when they buy up the competition like they did with Waze, what else are you left with? Not saying I agree with Jazmac as I think he's being dramatic, but let's not play like Google is innocent either. I don't like Google's business practices overall, but in this case it seems like they either were forced or agreed to give a "space" to their competitors to advertise. The competitors made use of this space and after 2 years, it hasn't worked for them. As I said is that because Google was doing some behind the scenes stuff or did European consumers see those companies and say, yeah whatever Google what's the price. This is it for me as well. Have there been shady practices to get to where they are in the market? Sure, I have no doubt. But this doesn't sound like Google have been stifling them over the past years. It sounds more like the competitors saying, "after 2 years is everything looking better? No? Well it must be something that Google is doing!" rather than recognizing that in order to increase your userbase you need to offer something unique that other companies do not. If you're just going to be a copy of a service then why would I move? I asked myself the same question when Bing came out, and lo and behold I haven't switched my default search engine because nothing about Bing hooked me. It’s anti-competitive, not because it’s what’s people prefer, but because Google is allegedly still ranking it’s own price comparison services higher than competitors for no other reason than it is their own. When you practically control the search engine market, it becomes a problem. This in principle is no different than the antitrust issues with Windows and IE in the past, if you recall.

  21. That's the real problem, it makes a lot of sense for these companies to break the law or bend them because they know that even if they do get pulled up and have to pay a big fine, they'll have likely made a lot more money by doing what they are doing, it's mostly just a slap on the wrist for them. It's also why I think governments need to get a lot tougher on big companies because they are gaining too much market share, putting the squeeze on smaller ones and giving us less choice for it.

  23. Tesla Cybertruck

It was a pointless video. I mean ... this was all about traction ... the Tesla is heavier and AWD while the F-150 was 2x4 and has most of its weight up front (not over the rear tires). That video had nothing to do with torque or whatever ... I am curious why they didn't opt to use a 4x4 F-150 ... surely all four tires smoking would have made for better theatrics? hmmm With respect to the Tesla truck ... don't know if my opinion about any vehicle has wildly swung like a pendulum ... at first I disliked it ... then I kinda liked it ... after seeing some videos of it on the road I'm back to not liking it (the looks). Might look good with a matte black paint job...

  24. Tesla Cybertruck

It's mostly who is heaviest and has the largest tire contact patch area under sufficient power. This was a mid-level Cybertruck running 35/12.5 skins, almost 800 lb-f of torque, and massing over 6,000 lbs. This was the mid-model; 2-motors, AWD, almost 800 lb-f of torque (from 0 RPM.) The high end model uses the 3-motor AWD, which with the coming Plaid* upgrade will deliver about 1,000 lb-f (from 0 RPM.) * Spaceballs reference, beyond Tesla's 'Ludicrous' power mode The mid-model 2-motor that spanked the F-150 is a friggin' monster at $49,990. It also has off road features you'd normally pay extra for. NHTSA is re-evaluating the use of video "mirrors" after petitions by an international group of automakers and Tesla. Europe and Asia are headed in that direction, so... Cybertruck already feeds a rear-view camera to a video "mirror" in the usual windshield location. This for when payload or the tonneau blocks the view.

FYI: The name Ukraine is derived from Okraina which means Borderland because that's how the region was called when its western and central parts belonged to Rzeczpospolita and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Russian name for Ukraine has always been Malorossiya - Little Russia, similarly to Belorussiya or Belarus - White Russia - which is still being used today officially.

  32. Apparently you have not used an ordinary photo camera at all! Among the millions that an ordinary camera does while mobiles cannot is the variable aperture on a lens. I can start a long boring list of what even the cheapest SLR or mirrorles can do while phones cannot. Phone cameras came a long way to today's greatness, but they are still far to what a photographic camera can and should do. (not to mention that many advertise the cameras of the phones they make by cheating by using SLRs) And by sales standards, evidently the majority of people just don't want the hassle of carrying an extra camera just to take a marginally better photo. Cellphones have become "good enough" for all but die-hard hobbyists and professionals. Exactly. I love my SLRs but I don't use them anywhere near as much as my phone, because phones are now good enough. I was looking at a panorama I took on holiday recently... the same shot can be done better on my SLRs, but that would have required setup and time. My iPhone did it in 5 seconds panning left to right. "Good enough" then, was good enough. Some people don't get it.

  37. Apple removes customer reviews from its online store

Are you saying the only place to get reviews on Apple products on the Apple web site? You know reviews for Apple products can be found in other places? You know people will look for reviews everywhere they can? Of course you do! I'm well aware of that but I'm also aware that a lot of consumers won't look for reviews and either will just buy it there and then or look at what a few people are saying about the app in the store front. Many developers complained about the exact same thing on Steam because Steam makes it easy to rate games and see what others are thinking of it at any given time and it does have an impact on sales. So Apple isn't doing it because of the people that know how to check for reviews, they are doing it to the people that don't check for reviews and buy off what the developers say about the app. Also, if they've not done this to the Apple store on phones yet, it looks like they might be testing the water to see how it goes before rolling it out on the App Store. It's all about the cut, Apple knows they will get more impulsive buyers buying apps without knowing if it's any good by consumers knowing less about what they are buying. Again, nothing to do with the App Store, developers, nor does it foreshadow anything, as Google and Samsung don't have reviews for their products on their website either. 🤷‍♂️ Does Samsumg sell apps on its website where it takes a cut from each app sold? In the case of Apple, they take a cut off every app sold so it makes a big difference. The real question is, how many actually check for reviews on a product or just buy blind of what the developers tell them about the product. What Apple seems to want to do here is increases the chance that many will buy blind, and they will because many don't research what they are buying into and that is likely what Apple is banking on to make more money. In fact, many developers complained about Steam on the PC because of user reviews as it makes it much easier to see if the game is any good at a glance, it also might be the reason why the Epic store doesn't have it and even when they do, it likely will be optional and I suspect that most developers will switch that off if they can because they know they will likely sell more to blind buyers. Why are you still talking about apps? This is not the App Store, they're talking about the online retail portion where you buy physical products, NOT apps. Go to apple.com to see what I'm talking about. I agree with you when it comes to app stores, but that's a totally separate thing. Because this is Apple we are talking about and greed comes a standard with them, if they are doing this in other parts of the business, it's very likely they are testing the water to see how it fares before rolling it out to the app store. The problem is that it's easy for Apple to do because they have compleat control over the ecosystem of where you buy the apps on its phones. That's stupid. Apple makes money from their app store, in part because of the ratings/review system. One has nothing to do with the other, especially in terms of sheer usage. There's plenty of stuff to be angry at Apple over, but let's not make up stuff when we don't have to... The review system has nothing to do with it, the fact is, if you want to buy an app, you have no choice but to buy it through the app store with Apple phones. We've seen enough of this with Steam over the years how user reviews can impact sales of games, developers if they could would prefer if you buy blind and in the case of Apple, buying blind is good for taking a bigger cut. Except we're talking about accessories like cases and dongles, something that you don't see reviews for on Google or Samsung stores just the same. Nothing to do with apps. I'm done replying to this, we're talking in circles because you keep talking about something the article has nothing to do with and zero insinuation of. If you say some, but when money is involved, companies do some stupid things to try to increase margins. I've seen a lot of it with how some developers see the review system on Steam and how I suspect some went to other stores like the Epic store as there is no user reviews so gamers are more likely to buy blind and for good reason, the user reviews on Steam can have a big impact on games sales depending on what's being said. Hello! Do you even know what this topic is about? You just keep banging on about something else. You have shown yourself to be very anti Apple. Enjoy that because you are missing out, Apple make great stuff and there is more to it than your perception of Apple's greed :-P
