This is all just a marketing scam to trick people into thinking more MP is better. Let's not forget that MP is pointless unless you have a proper lens to collect the detail. Awesome, so you can print a 6 foot wide picture at 300dpi from your 200MP image, but it will look like absolute garbage since the clarity is so poor. And downsizing that massive image doesn't magically make it any better. It's a shame that instead of designing better camera hardware, some companies are going the deceptive route via software...3 points -

Lyrics website Genius sues Google over stolen lyrics
elmetnuter and 2 others reacted to Garry for a topic
I read most of the complaint Genius filed. It's absolutely brilliant. A little contradictory in places, but brilliant. Basically Genius aren't happy that Google puts lyrics in an information box yet apparently does no work to transcribe the lyrics themselves. The lyrics box, artist information boxes and YouTube links push the search result for Genius right down the page. Genius aren't happy that Google are promoting their own services first. The complaint then goes onto say that Genius use a combination of straight apostrophes (') and curly apostrophes (‘) in some lyrics. If the straight apostrophes are treated as dots and the curlies as dashes then, in morse code, they spell out the word 'REDHANDED' and this particular combination of apostrophes has been found in numerous sets of lyrics shown in Google's Information box without credit (or royalties) given to Genius. Clever sods. Genius aren't happy they they have to pay to licence the right to display lyrics from publishers AND have invested in building and maintaining the transcription collaboration platform, while Google have done neither and are basically ripping them off.3 points -

It's also on Steam, just like Gears 5, so most likely no. As it turns out, it's both, so my bad. https://www.reddit.com/r/gamin...ider_ama/eivuo5v/?context=3 . I don't know about you, but I'm not aware of any UWP apps running on Windows 7. The one confirming this is Brian Jarrad, community director at 343 - his user is ske7ch343. Furthermore, remember how a while back there was a test in Insider builds using State of Decay? Phil Spencer himself said that the test they ran with the game was to figure out how to put Win32 games onto the Microsoft Store, so most likely via a UWP wrapper. Don't take my word for it, here's the man himself saying it https://youtu.be/7w-Ifxmqd5c?t=17903 points -

The benefit of having an optical drive is the opportunity to play content and games without an internet connection, without recurring payment, and to give away or sell that title as one see fit. Often, content over the internet can and is often taken away, due to licensing, etc. after you've paid for it. There new technologies are great, but we shouldn't throw ownership and control.2 points -
Apple issues fix for shutdown issue with the 2019 13-inch MacBook Pro
dead.cell and one other reacted to sphbecker for a topic
Newer laptops (I have seen this on the PC side as well) seem to have some kind of battery protection logic stopping them from starting a charge cycle if the battery is above 90%. I think it is meant to reduce wear on the battery if the computer is moved on and off a docking station without much use between. My best guess is that Apple's battery controller may have a bug that keeps the laptop running on battery in that condition. Totally a guess, but based on what they are suggesting, that seems reasonable. If that is the issue, users may not even know their battery was drained. The battery controller reevaluates the condition when system power is toggled, so at that point it sees 0% battery and switches to A/C power and starts charging the battery.2 points -

So whoever the board of directors finds fit would be the CEO. > A company is for making profit not for principles. Why then Google is so actively involved in politics and social movements for principles? Hypocrisy much? Google could just pretend they're consulting with employees - just to seem "liberal". The Xbox is actually more than a console, it's a home entertaining system. It goes beyond than games. You can watch digitally TV, movies and as well Blu-ray movies and disc based games. Taking the disc drive off will kill the home entertaining feature for people that buy an Xbox for watching local TV and movies. Not everyone can afford to download a game that it's 100GB in size.1 point -

Why I went for the Rx5700, it was not stupid prices, saying that it is still more than I thought i would ever pay for a video card. i looked at the cheaper cards, the RX590, but I needed to make sure i got a card to handle what I wanted to do, so going up to the prices of a RX5700 was what was needed. It does what I need. I was in the same boat, I wanted a decent upgrade and went for the RX5700 and it's the most expensive card I've ever bought and at this rate, unless prices come down a lot, I'll be dumping PC gaming for console gaming when my next upgrade cycle comes around. io am not really a games player, I have a few, but they did not even tax my old card, so this card will have no problem with them. I wanted the GPU power for video editing and stuff like that.1 point -

It is my understanding that the only reason they went FaceID was because they couldn't bring TouchID on screen to market fast enough, so FaceID was really just a stop-gap solution until on screen TouchID was ready (they had committed to removing the physical touchID button regardless). If now that means they have both options available (Touch and or Face), even better.1 point -
