Dead Rabbit
+hedleigh and 2 others reacted to Mindovermaster for a topic
So I woke up My dog is laying on the back patio covered in dirt with a rabbit in his mouth. The rabbit's not bloody, just dirty. My neighbor's kids raise blue ribbon rabbits. I instantly knew it was one of theirs. So I took the rabbit away from my dog, rushed inside, and washed all the dirt off it before my neighbors could come home. It was stiff but I heard some animals play dead when they are afraid but I couldn't remember which ones. I took it and placed it back in one of the cages in their back yard then I ZOOMED back home. Not 30 minutes later I hear my neighbors screaming so I go out and ask them what's wrong? They tell me their rabbit died three days ago and they buried it but now it's back in the cage. 😳3 points -

Rockstar is nowhere near as bad as companies like EA, Activision, or Ubisoft. GTA:V is an excellent game, worth buying. And Red Dead Redemption 2 is an excellent game, worth buying. The standard versions of the games are all you need. As far as additional story DLC, it's not as if I bought the games expecting it. It doesn't matter if they are nowhere near as bad or that the standard version is all that you think I need. That's beside the point. What matters is that rockstar is a ###### company that runs it's employees like slaves and is selling story content at a premium in a full priced game. But I guess if you like being taken advantage of then keep buying.2 points -

It's probably too much to ask but I wish people wouldn't buy rockstars games on any platform. They are so scummy and I'll never forgive them for killing off GTA:V's story dlc. There is also exclusive content available in the more expensive versions of the game which no one should support because it's only going to keep getting worse. If you listen closely you can hear Totalbiscuit calling out from the grave.2 points -

Opera 55 for Android adds fully customizable dark mode
Ratindra reacted to azzou for a topic
Opera on desktop is pretty buggy and its Chromium version is always behind Brave, new Edge and Chrome. Which makes it lacking security fixes. Same for Opera on Android. Also it's owned by a group has ties to Chinese government, that was what actually made me stop using it after a year, I was late to notice though. Opera developer team denies it, which is not convincing at all. And I see Communist Party of China supporters are obsessed with that browser, using it and praising it, I wonder why. I'm using Firefox nowadays, and sometimes Brave, til the new Edge is fully stable. Only feature I miss, is sometimes, VPN of Opera; which is -again- actually not secure at all. Well, I'm in Algeria, so I don't really care about Chinese things and whatnot. It's not like US based browser are any safer from data collection (google knows). The features I can't do without for example can't be found (or sometimes even replaced with an extension); the small pop-up that appears once you select a text to either search for it or convert or send it to your phone (through FLOW), the way you click on the tab so it goes up to the top of the page and click again to return to your current view, and the sidebar with social integration saves me from the awful chat windows, plus the other stuff that's well presented... I want those on the new E Edge so I can switch fully but they won't happen. I loved the old Edge but Microsoft did a Google and killed it so............1 point -

Nintendo adding six new games to the SNES and NES Switch Online libraries
Geezy reacted to indospot for a topic
You get what was previously release that is it for the old games. The primary draw to the online sub is not actually the online multiplayer or the older games. Its actually the cloud save feature. If it didn't have that I would not be subbed. Oh yeah, I guess if you have a Switch and Switch Lite then you're screwed without paying for that... I wonder why they don't want you just copying saves to the SD card? Even the 3DS let you back stuff up to the SD card. You can move save files directly from one system to the other. Switch Online makes it easier though. Don't you have to move the entire profile over? No, you can move save files per game if you want.1 point -

Just amazes me of how stupid people are when it comes to this type of stuff. Hey Google, Facebook, Apple, etc... aren't the only ones looking at what you are doing. It's pretty much whatever app you download, or music app your using, or phone your using, your car even tracks you. Even when you order food with GrubHub, or Doordash, and the other food services they know your location. I don't get why so many people in this country (U.S.A) are so stupid when it comes to this stuff. There are more companies other than Facebook, Google, that are watching you or checking up on you. They are looking at what you search or are doing. Why are we so stupid when it comes to this stuff, why?1 point -

I'm more concerned about the whole "can't comprehend file extensions" madness I just encountered. Using Edge, downloaded a .img file. I then tried downloading the .img.md5 file, it came up and said it already existed(not showing the .md5) and asked if I wanted to overwrite. If I answered "yes" it saved as .img rather than .img.md5 that was in the Save as box(with *.md5 in the Extension drop down) and of course, overwrote my other download. If this is just an old Edge issue, it's one thing(still serious) but if it's a common dialog issue, it's a zillion times worse than the "can't save a .zip file to the same folder that has a subfolder with the same root name" makes-you-angry bug.1 point -

TreaK reacted to Astra.Xtreme for a topic
This is all just a marketing scam to trick people into thinking more MP is better. Let's not forget that MP is pointless unless you have a proper lens to collect the detail. Awesome, so you can print a 6 foot wide picture at 300dpi from your 200MP image, but it will look like absolute garbage since the clarity is so poor. And downsizing that massive image doesn't magically make it any better. It's a shame that instead of designing better camera hardware, some companies are going the deceptive route via software...1 point -

Samsung Galaxy S11 5G benchmark listing confirms Exynos 990, 12GB RAM

On this kind of statement, I am usually replying with my story 22 years back when I bought 6,4 GB HDD. Almost every guy in our class knocked on his head that I am crazy and I’ll never use such a big HDD... You know there's a difference between storage and system memory here. The argument for bigger storage drives is a valid one, even 20 years ago as PCs were starting to be able to do more and more. The argument for more RAM, on a phone, is less important to me than say, better battery tech, or a bigger one at least. 12GB on a phone, at this point, is just marketing BS so they can toss a number at buyers for no real benefit. How many people out there will even max out their RAM on their phone? Now that even Android will pause/suspend a background app after time, there's no reason to have so much.1 point -

To think, some people think folding phones are not going to take off LOL. Once they get the tech right and lower the cost, the benefits of folding phone will start to shine and new ideas with how they can create phones will open up. An obvious benefit of folding phones is that it could do away with tablets by being able to have a bigger screen in your pocket but I suspect a lot more other benefits will shine through once companies get creative with them.1 point -

Gorilla Removal Service

A guy wakes up one morning to find a gorilla in a tree near his house. He looks in the phone book for a gorilla removal service until he finds one. "Is it a boy or girl Gorilla?" the service guy asks. "Boy," is the man's response. "Oh yeah, I can do it. I'll be right there", says the service guy. An hour later the service guy shows up with a stick, a Chihuahua, a shotgun, and a pair of handcuffs. He then gives the man some instructions: "Now, I'm going to climb this tree and poke the gorilla with the stick until he falls. When he does, the trained Chihuahua will bite the gorilla's testicles off. The gorilla will then cross his hands to protect himself and allow you to put the handcuffs on him." The man asks, "What do I do with the shotgun?"0 points
