My guess would be Zhaoxin CPU's. The KX-6000 specifically. Zhaoxin is a fabless company so they'll still be relying on fabs such as TSMC perhaps. China has a vast amount of local tech companies that produce the processor, memory and computer towers itself without the need of american technologies. China has also their own supercomputers as well. China is pretty much self sufficient in that aspect.3 points -

These people always blame autopilot when they get into a crash. Luckily all this data is recorded, so time will tell if the driver lied. It's not streaming, you're just sending a video signal (albeit digitally encoded rather than analogue over VGA). Don't be suckered into any high-end gold-tipped nonsense. And "clearest" means nothing anymore really - because the signal is digital it will either show or wont. Personally, I've just used crappy ones that come free with consoles or satellite boxes and never had an issue.3 points -

HDMI streaming cable
+Dick Montage and one other reacted to Astra.Xtreme for a topic
As others have said, there is zero difference in actual transmitted quality in any HDMI cable. Digital is either on or off, and there's no in-between. You can buy a $2 cable from Monoprice and it would be identical in function to a massively overpriced Monster cable. Anything from Monoprice or Amazon will be perfectly fine. There is a HDMI spec that has to do with bandwidth and resolution, so if you have a 4K TV, you may want to make sure you don't get an old cable, but again it has nothing to do with quality of the signal: https://www.hdmi.org/spec/index2 points -

John K and one other reacted to Mobius Enigma for a topic
I find it interesting that people will offer technical opinion, based on their expertise, without the realization that someone with actual expertise can achieve the same goal more easily and with a better outcome. (I feel sad for the 5 people that hit like on this.) Seriously, if someone is recommending staying on old builds or pushing LTSC to average users, shouldn't they be able to write a script or web search and copy a script? Especially, when using old builds and screwing with LTSC creates far more work than maintaining an install/update script. (Even if you had 100 PCs and didn't know how to use other deployment features provided by Microsoft, a script is faster and offers more options in what to keep and remove.) Also the 'complaints' about perceived bloat come from myth, at best insignificant, or are no longer relevant. For example: Cortana sucks so much CPU RAM (/s) - it is exactly ZERO unless the user enables it, and ZERO again if they ever choose to disable it. I bet that ZERO RAM/CPU use is a killer on anything slower than an 8086. FFS. Then there is the 'horrible' Store and UWP Apps... Even when being actively used with hundreds of Apps to maintain, the Store and keeping everything updated consumes almost a full minute of CPU processing time on average in a 24hr time period. If that is killing performance, you might have other problems. Much of this still comes from people that seem to think Windows works like other OS technologies, and just having something sitting on the hard drive is the same thing as running or requiring the loading of lower level processes even if the software isn't active. (If Windows NT worked like OS X or Linux, an argument for removing unused features would be valid; however, Windows NT is quite different, and applying rules of optimization based on older OS models is a waste of time.) In perspective... Something as heavy as the full WSL being installed/enabled consumes ZERO CPU time and ZERO RAM when not running. Yet people still think something like Cortana left disabled is 'bloating' their system. Really? ----- Also, I haven't even touched on the features, software and hardware support and performance differences in the newer builds. Just the new kernel adjustments, and other mitigation optimizations bring a huge jump in performance on most CPUs, adding to the partially active reptoline changes in 1809. There are also the specific AMD scheduler and core priority changes in 1903, with additional optimizations in 1909. A PSA... Unless your PC is a Kiosk or a specialized interface or appliance, or going to be used on the ISS, there are very few 'real' reasons to use or mess with the LTSB. Seriously, save time and money and just find a script to rip out whatever crap your 'expert' friends said was bad. But also keep in mind, that 99% of the mythic 'evil crap' consumes nothing but a few MB of space on the HD, and in 2019, if a few MB is a storage issue, your hard drive might be too small.2 points -

Tesla Model 3 on Autopilot crashes into two cars in Connecticut
Brandon H reacted to shockz for a topic
Auto pilot is not auto pilot, and needs to be marketed as such. From Wikipedia: “An autopilot is a system used to control the trajectory of an aircraft without constant ‘hands-on’ control by a human operator being required. Autopilots do not replace human operators, but instead they assist them in controlling the aircraft.” It's not self-driving. AutoPilot does exactly what it says it is. It’s driver assist at best. That is correct. Tesla does not dispute that. It's not full self-driving technology and the driver is supposed to pay attention and keep their hands on the steering wheel. How about Tesla calling it driver assist to appease the masses into avoiding them thinking it’s more than that?1 point -

Yes...Musk is totally an idiot there and went too far. Unless I'm misunderstanding though, that's not what the lawsuit was about - it was about a twitter spat, not an email or the lengths Musk went to prove that guy was some kind of "pedo" (the later being just evidence). When you get burned on forced upgrades as well as updates that brick something you tend in an IT environment to resist change. Windows 7 just works. I need other things for me personally that 7 can't do like Hyper-v but you see the argument of install and forget. It just always works. Change for the sake of change is expensive. Especially if you are Book keeper Sue who just processed receivables in Excel and Quicken at work and prints out forms and uses a website in chrome to upload receipts. Your comment is hilarious too. "how often do you look at your computer" are you kidding me ? this is what you came up with to justify the ugliest design that a trillion dollar company can do? You sound exactly like Apple : "if you have reception issues you're holding the phone the wrong way " This computer is not ugly YOU just don't have to look at it. Most laughable thing about this machine is not just the looks the 256GB SSD in a 6000$ workstation is the punch line of the joke.1 point -
Users on Windows 10 version 1809 are starting to be moved to 1909
John K reacted to Mobius Enigma for a topic
You present this like other people have no choice. Microsoft has never 'truly' forced updates on anything. Even with the push for non-technical users to always be updated, this has never been forced. Windows 10 RTM users could flip a couple of registry keys and still be running the original bits from 2015 with zero updates. So stay on whatever version you are on, Microsoft doesn't care. It costs them money for you to update, so you are also saving them a few dollars. MS actually gives a crap about average users and security, which is why updates are on purpose harder to turn off permanently for average users. Also when there is a large number of PC with security risks, it causes a lot of harm. i.e. WinXP systems not being updated were the cause of over 99% of all virus and malware outbreaks in the 00s. Curious if similar beliefs carry over... Ever heard of 'herd protection/immunity'? Are you an anti-vaxxer?1 point -
