Not doing everything Samsung does would be a nice start for LG. And give phones OS updates. Keep the headphone jack and DisplayPort out and bring back a thin bezel and LED notification light. Get rid of the notch, curved display edges, pop-up cameras and punchholes in display. Don't sell overpriced devices. In other words, don't be Samsung, LG.3 points -

Google announces the 'winners' of the controversial choice screen search engine auction
samw61 and 2 others reacted to George P for a topic
What a joke of a process. Why not just allow users to enter the search engine if it's not on the list to begin with? There should be a other option that lets you punch in what you want. And how can they turn this around and make it an auction and get paid for it? Who the heck sees this as correct? Should get drawn right back into court.3 points -

Doom re-releases get 60FPS, add-ons and other features, also now out on PC
Geezy reacted to Slugsie for a topic
I think the article is incorrect. From the Bethesda page: But I already own DOOM and DOOM II on Bethesda.net! What happens to my existing installation? If you already own those games on Bethesda.net, you’ll see two new games in your library – DOOM Classic (2019 Release) and DOOM II (2019 Release). If you’re just buying them for the first time, you’ll receive both the original DOS-based release and our new Bethesda.net enhanced versions, which include the new Add-ons menu. So I think it's only owners of the re-released versions, not the originals. Shame, as I bought the originals a loooooong time ago. :)1 point -

Wi-Fi 6 may soon expand into the 6GHz spectrum, to be called Wi-Fi 6E
matthiew reacted to samw61 for a topic
Except it’s not more complicated. It’s less so for the average consumer, who has no idea what is newer: n, ac, or ax. WiFi-4=802.11n WiFi-5=802.11ac WiFi-6=802.11ax Your scenario will never come to pass. Will the average consumer be able to tell the difference between 6 and 6e? What makes you think they cannot? They can tell the difference between X, XR, and XS. *hands up* I honestly don't know that X series of iPhones. I would guess the iPhone X is the oldest. They start simple then go strange. Don't assume just because you know what's going on. You are right. X is the oldest so apparently it *can* be figured out. Are you going to sit there and tell me that the average consumer knows what is newer between 802.11n, ac, and ax? Of course not. Process of elimination. 6e is newer than 6 is newer than 5 is newer than 4. Sure, but I'm a fairly well educated nerd person who has seen articles about the iPhones (but hasn't read them) so I had a basic understanding. Many normal people do not. The new system is flawless until they start adding strange bits to it. What is the S and the R? Which one is is newer? But speaking on a phone I do know: The Google Pixels! Pixel 3a is newer than the Pixel 3, and therefore better right? RIGHT?!1 point -
