Here's what's fixed, improved, and still broken in Windows 10 build 19546

Would you like to work together sometime to try to solve it? Grampapa Oldguru cant be helped. He's an idiot at computers This idiot makes quarter a million as a software developer which makes you fully qualified retard...no hard feelings You say you make money making software but I don't believe you because you suck so much at computers. I instead think you are an attention seeking little bitch that can hardly figure out how to turn on your computer. Dude, what are you doing? Don’t let this guy get under your skin. We all know he is posing, but the meltdown you are having over him with direct personal attacks is what he wants and gets you banned while he continues doing his thing. Just chuckle to yourself when he comments and move on lest he wins in the end. I never personally attack anyone. I agree with you there. The whole point of my post was cynical about new fast ring release where Microsoft did not even properly finished 20H1 build. I am sure some machines will upgrade fine, and some not but the amount of problems Windows 10 has tells me how much MS. cares about it. Again, if that is their new standard so be it. Btw. I am not posing. Why are you complaining about "I tried 20H1 to install on three different machines so far, every time it fails...what a junk." when you also say "First of all I know why it is failing on all three machines" ?? Do you not realize how unhelpful and baiting your replies are? I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and offered to help. Because I thought you had a problem that needed to be solved, and I genuinely wanted to resolve it. I tried to be helpful to support the community. But now it appears you already have the solution, and are just posting trash on new build announcements that aren't even related to your problem! Maybe you have some other sort of problem, and might need some professional help that I don't have the expertise to offer. In short, can you please try to keep your comments on-topic, relevant, and non-trolling? If you care about the community, you'll see why it's important. Thank you. Oh, and also please be sure to use the Feedback Hub to report problems that you are having, especially if you also have solutions to them. Microsoft may not yet have the solutions, and you may have an opportunity to help the community!2 points -

[The scaling issue had to do with their limited knowledge of enterprise-scale solutions architecture as opposed to their lucrative {insert-programming-language-here} skillsets.] First of all I know why it is failing on all three machines, it is just amusing that 20H1 even being propagated to slow ring and not officially out yet, should not have issues like this. The point is that software quality coming out of Microsoft is really low these days. I guess that's their new standard. Well if you know why it is failing, maybe, you know, report it? That is why Insider is a thing.2 points -
Google might be bringing Valve's Steam to Chrome OS
DentedAphid7 and one other reacted to George P for a topic
I'm not interested, Chrome OS is not what I want to bother with. I'm trying to get as far away from Google as I can to begin with. As the article states chromebooks are not built for gaming at all, and while they'll keep trying to push for better spec'd and thus pricier versions, that's not going to change my view of them. There's a reason they've only gained in specific markets like education.2 points -

I wish Neowin had a block feature because all you can do is bitch and whine. You call yourself Oldguru but you sure seem like a clown at computers. If you were a guru you could figure out what was wrong and fix it, but instead you just post negative problems you face every day with Windows 10 without any solutions. Damn you suck. OldGuru got comfortable; when folks get comfortable, the LAST thing they want is change. (Something I've seen in everything from IT to politics.) Don't blame him - except that he thinks that his way is the ONLY way. (I've seen that as well - again, in everything from IT to politics.) So far, I've gotten one install done (desktop); had to do it different due to lack of space on my boot drive; moved the image to a different drive and mounted/did the install from there; something I've done before). I have also created a USB stick for clean installs and upgrades of non-modern PCs.1 point -

Google might be bringing Valve's Steam to Chrome OS
Yogurth reacted to dead.cell for a topic
Remember that Linux is at the core of Chrome OS and Steam has an excellent support for Linux gaming. except linux app support is still just in alpha support. As the article mentioned installing Steam linux app is sub par performance so I can only imagine games are the same if not worse. So my question remains; what's their plan? What good is the client being natively supported if no games are? Got to have a starting point, right? Otherwise it'd be like saying Stadia as it is now is the finished service, when they've still got a roadmap and plans ahead. Hell, it's not even official, is it..? This is a common trend I see with Linux and gaming. Users want support, but when anything hopeful comes along, people start downplaying it saying it will never work. It's almost like "tech enthusiast" has fallen by the wayside for "tech cynic".1 point -
Microsoft announces two Snapdragon 7c PCs for education with 4G LTE, starting at $299
John K reacted to Mobius Enigma for a topic
is it like that time when they introduced $179 laptop to fight chromebook and everyone thought it will kill the chromebook and that never happened? True, but this is a different time. Chromebooks are not trying for low end pricing, and ChromeOS has bloated enough it needs better hardware than Windows 10. The other newer trend is the rejection and distancing of Google now that more people are aware of what Google is taking. This last part is bigger in school systems than I think is acknowledge in the tech news. I know of several school districts that were invested in ChromOS devices for students. The data Google was still collecting on the children (and still collects) created a lot of concern by parents and genuine worry by educators to dump Chromebooks and replace them with $200-300 Windows 10 Laptops with touchscreens this past year. Previously, everyone was on a anti-Microsoft trend, and just trusted Google, without noticing how invasive their data collection was and how it is used against users.1 point -

I wear quite a few hats at work being a small startup and all, and more than once I’ve helped our senior software architect out with PC and OS issues. there's no demise of the Microsoft Store... you're confusing the consumer version with the Microsoft Store for Business which works differently Dude, not confusion. Not surprised if they do shut down the store. I mean just look at games for the store, they are poorly optimized. And there is not enough app to make up for it. Even when they promised to port android/ios apps easily with a converter. I have the Forza Games from the Microsoft store. They are far from poorly optimised. The Microsoft store does need some work though, it could do with the ability to queue downloads and backup applications. Modding games through their store is at the developer's discretion and people like more freedom than that It would help if Forza was not encrypted and you could move install files like every other launcher can do. Have you not gone through apps and features clicked on Forza and then modify, that should allow you to move the install files to another drive. Don't have many games from the store, but the ones I do have allow me to do this. That does not do anything when reinstalling Windows.1 point -
