Microsoft should really put a screen on the outside of the Surface Duo

Totally disagree about an external screen. It's just another part to break. I'd prefer none than one. On the camera front, yeah, I think they should throw another strong camera on the outside. Currently looks like a pita to use.4 points -
Kodi v18.6 "Leia" Nightly These are the pre final releases of Kodi, are what will eventually lead to the final version. THESE BUILDS ARE UNSTABLE and are for users that do not fear bugs or possibly crashes. If you want a stable HTPC then please install a stable build instead. Always backup before using a pre release build. Nightly builds are made on a daily basis and contain the most recent changes. These should be considered unstable for daily usage and should only be used for to help us find possible issues.3 points

I do the same. Also, it's a chore to try to sell a phone. If the phone is cheap, then nobody will buy it. If the phone is too old (+3 years), then nobody will buy it unless it is a flagship product. Not sure that's true. If anything, you won't get as much for an older phone but there is always someone around with a need for a cheap phone. Just look at that cheap phone you're using now. /jk1 point -

AI-based software is being used to diagnose coronavirus
adrynalyne reacted to Yogurth for a topic
You should do some research on why there is worry. Flu mortality rate: 0.1%. This particular coronavirus: 2-3%. There are flu vaccines that (to a degree) help. There is no vaccine for this. Do you want to wait and worry until it becomes as common as the flu instead of trying to head it off beforehand? Sounds like a great idea. Even assuming it's around 3% death rate, that's still very low chance of dying. bottom line... it's overblown. sure, I can see people being a bit cautious and all, but as usual... the media is making it out to be much worse than it actually is. like any day a boatload of people could die etc etc. it's just more fearmongering. I think You are underestimating covid-19. There are several issues with the virus that are straight from doomsday novel. Number one: each carrier has a high chance of being a super-carrier due to the virus ability to spread before the carrier shows any signs of illness. Number two: according to Chinese researchers the virus mutates rapidly from carrier to carrier even within the same genetic carrier makeup (within closest family members) Number three: Even if You caught it and beat it likely that You will caught the next strain during the same season, unlike the flu. Number four: covid-19 can live up to 12 days on almost any given surface outside the hosts1 point -

There is no "basic human right" to post crap on Youtube. You do understand that, don't you? Companies don't have to uphold the first amendment, the government does. I understand that. But did you understand what I said? Because it doesn't seem like you did. @Benjimooler gets it. It's really simple. If corporations want protection under the constitution as "people" then they should also be forced to uphold the constitution. You don't get to claim basic human rights while actively ###### on them. And no matter how much some don't want it to be freedom of speech is a basic human right. Benjimooler didn’t get anything. He brought up discrimination because of sexual orientation, which is not the same thing as free speech. In his same scenario, those “bakers” could simply say, “I don’t like you” and refuse service. If I were to build a social media platform, I get to choose what I allow on it as long as it is not illegal. The government has no legal leg to stand on to control any of that. Even if I suppress free speech. If people want their interpretation of what is “fair”, they are free to build their own private service. Neowin deletes content they don’t deem appropriate. Are you going to include them in this injustice of suppressing free speech? Free speech might be a basic human right, but it does not mean it is free of consequences. Discrimination based on political affiliation or religious affiliation is discrimination. No matter how and what you discriminate on.. It is discrimination. YouTube has been doing this and I am still asking why is it that a business owner, a person business owner with no ties to government has to Carter to certain sets of people. YouTube is doing the same thing. They have been targeting conservative outlets for literally stating a fact. Make a video that a transgender man is biologically a man and you might get into a problem Political discrimination isn’t legally protected on private platforms. Play by their rules or build your own service. It’s not hard to figure out. What are the Google rules pragerU break? Did I say written rules? 😂 I meant in general, you play by what they govern. At any moment, Stephen P. here can kick you off the forums or delete your posts. You don’t even have to break a written rule and you know what? There is f### all you can do about it, legally or otherwise. What exactly makes you think it’s any different in the case of Google and YouTube? Dude stop making yourself look dishonest. You Said play by their rules then ask me if you said written rules. If I say no gay in my business, you will be the first to shout bigot. Pls pick your struggle. Either you are for discrimination or you are not. The government allowed google to do business so they should watch them for discrimination. You can't allow one group to spread information while you block another group that give a different perspective of the same subject. Owner of this site can block me but if he blocks black people or only Chinese people then there is a problem. You can act like you are smart all you want but I am beginning to believe the saying... "leftism is a disease" Dishonest? Gtfo of here with the bullcrap. I explained myself, try reading past the first sentence. Also, my own beliefs are not the beliefs of YouTube or others. I am not on trial here so stop building a strawman. I don’t have to stand for or against anything. We are discussing YouTube. You seemingly cannot tell the difference between what discrimination is protected by law and that which is not. As for leftism being a disease, maybe it is. But that in itself is political, which is a disease. Doesn’t matter what direction you lean. And the example I gave is valid. As a private business owner and a religious person, do I have the right to not attend a ceremony from the LGBT community to give a service that is not supported by my religious belief? Why are leftist government and authorities forcing people to do so and if they don't they close their business and fine them? I am only saying you are being two face snake here. I have told you discrimination is discrimination. Political discrimination equates to gender discrimination. If you don't employ me because I am a conservative or a republican is equally as bad if you don't employ me because I am black or a woman. No matter how you see it, Google is playing a devilish game by allowing only one group to spread their beliefs while they block others. Google stated that one of pragaU vids was censored because it is inappropriate for children and the video they censored is totally appropriate. Google and all this monopolies should be checked for political censorship. I am only saying you are being two face snake here Yeah I am done here, this garbage is just lowering my IQ to your level.1 point -

Virgin Media announces gigabit rollout to West Midlands, UK
adrynalyne reacted to Paul1979UK for a topic
Yep, my best friend who lives in Latvia is paying £20 for his 600Mbps upload /600 Mbps download. I'm fairly sure that I speak for the majority that would much prefer VM concentrate on increasing the paltry 50Mbps upload you get with the 1.1Gbps download. I have to agree, 1Gbps is kinda pointless for now as nothing really uses it on the net and I have to wonder how many places on the net you can download games and other contents at full speed with that. 100 and 200mbps is more than enough for now, where the upload is the real thing we want to get better that and the price. The funny thing is, As internet providers keep upgrading their speeds, many which are supposed to be free upgrades but are not, I see a lot of people downgrading their connection speeds to a lower contract because it's more than enough. You are looking at it from the wrong perspective. Gigabit isn’t about if you can download everywhere at that speed. It’s about being able to download/ utilize on multiple machines without slowing down. It means I can work in peace while my family does whatever they want on the Internet and I am not negatively affected. Yes and 99% of the times you can do that with a 200mb connection. We have a 200mb connection thats more like 220mb and we have quite a few users that use this internet quite a bit and yet it feels like the connection is reserved for 1 person because it gets through things so fast that it doesn't matter. Even big contents like games, it downloads big ones so quickly that it's not an issue and not really worth paying more to just save a little time on downloading of big files, as for the west of the internet, it's about the same on any decent internet connection. Now if the price was a lot cheaper than fair enough but what they are asking for and how little of an impact it has on us, it isn't worth it. 99% of statistics are made up on the spot. You don’t actually know me to verify that as true. I pay $65 a month for unlimited symmetrical gigabit. If I go anywhere else, for 200Mb? I’d pay more. It’s a no brainer for me to have the service. That's different if you can't get lower for less and in that case I would go for 1gbps but I find that even with lowering the connection even with a family that uses the net a lot, it doesn't really change anything and the connection is almost always free. With that said, I won't go below 100mb because games and that are getting pretty big but with the 200mb connection, it gets through them pretty quickly.1 point -

Vivo Apex 2020 features an under-display camera, 60W wireless charging, more
MS Bob 11 reacted to Michael Scrip for a topic
-- "Vivo says that the light transmittance to the under-screen camera has improved by six times and it also uses various algorithms to improve selfies taken from it." Imagine how good the image would be if it didn't have to shoot through an extra layer of pixels. But let's examine what is happening here. The claim is that the camera shoots though the OLED display. That's somewhat true. There are pixels on top of the camera. But it's not the same pixels as the rest of the display. There is actually a cutout in the main display... with a less-dense set of pixels on top of the camera. Then whatever reduced light comes through those pixels... the software algorithms will attempt to fix it. You can see it below. Take a look: https://i.imgur.com/mh5cJa9.jpg I dunno... I think I'd still prefer a clear unobstructed glass lens above the sensor. But then we'd have notches, hole-punches, etc. Though I rarely use my front-facing camera anyway...1 point -

PeterTHX reacted to Benjimooler for a topic
I agree it was a wise decision, but the courts did not really rule on free speech. PragerU argued the Youtube needs to be considered a public forum under Section 230. The court ruled that Youtube can choose whether to be a self-censoring publisher or an open-forum platform protected by section 230 -- and Youtube chose to be a publisher (by moderating their content). Which they have every right to. They are a private company, not funded with public funds or a goverment entity. Just because they are large or popular, it doesn't mean that user can claim "free speech". The interesting part, is that most of the arguing is coming from only "alt" groups of both sides (mostly right wing/conspiracy theorist at the moment) who dislike that their crap is being blocked. With that said, nothing prevents these groups from using other forums, they simply hate the fact, that these other forums aren't as popular. What makes Prager U a conspiracy theory channel? when Youtube sees videos like anti abortion messages... it triggers them and they block it.
