No thanks. $39.99 /month is too high, considering you can easily get equivalent service for much lower price...

  8. I'm opposite on this. Smart TVs do not get app, security, or feature updates as well or often enough as a dedicated external box. I'd take a dedicated box (Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV etc) over a built in smart TV function any day. I also tend to keep a TV a lot long than even most dedicated boxes last so it is easy to pay a small amount and get a new full featured faster tv box than to get a new TV.

  9. I enjoyed reading this review, thanks. Very informative. It's too bad about the move or die portions being expanded on, that felt like filler to me in the first game and I would have liked it if they instead focused on more opportunities to just use your moves in clever ways to uncover secrets or access new areas and to navigate in combat, not as a trial of memorization/reflex. That was unenjoyable and a chore in the first game and I wasn't a fan of this in Guacamelee either but at least it was less punishing to the player and more brief in that game. I appreciate the contrast between the two Ori games in this review.

They don't have a unlimited plan, and never heard about them, so even if they do, support is gonna suck! My point being, to the first guy is, there are no easily available equivalent services which he is boasting! Infect value for money is pretty good, you got version network, great support and cheaper than all plans coming from big networks (who actual owns the network)

drunken research is sometimes the best research lol on topic though; technically you can use a cross-over cable to plug the 2 devices directly together and set a static IP to both but having a device in between to act as a gateway/DHCP makes things overall easier

  19. conspiracy - a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful. Censorship done by corporations is considered harmful by many, but not unlawful. In last decade western companies adopted censorship practices which falls under conspiracy definition. For example "shadow banning" fits conspiracy definition perfectly, because it is a harmful and secret ("shadow") action against commentators. Of course, such action is not a conspiracy from the point of view of people who are doing it, because it not secret for them and they think that it is beneficial. This is exactly why "the road to hell is paved with good intentions". It is very easy to pave such roads for others . I am truly amazed to see explosion of propaganda (like "lying by omission") and censorship in the west during last decade.

  21. Google Pixel 4a leak points to $399 price tag

BTW, the iPhone SE2 / iPhone 9 is supposedly delayed? I guess time will tell. Haven't heard of delay yet myself but with how much Caronavirus is effecting production of a lot of other products I wouldn't be surprised. I'm more waiting for the announcement than the release as the previous models usually get a price cut once a new device is announced I'm aiming for the XR, possibly the 11 depending on how much if any price cut it gets after the new device is announced. edit: also waiting for my tax return to hit my bank lol I haven't been keeping track but I just got a update on my oneplus 6t so I'd say they've been very good about supporting the hardware so far. You could also look into loading something like lineage os if you have a phone that it supports, then you can get updates for quite some time. The OnePlus 6T is ONLY 18 months old! I would hope it gets all the latest security / Android updates, especially since OnePlus has less phones than most manufacturers. It's after the two/three year mark where Android manufacturers tend to stop the major version and/or security updates. This is true, but I've been getting regular updates which is better than most OEMs who might release a update twice a year and then stop. I actually think they're going to be forced to support phones more because the market has shifted now, people are not upgrading to a new phone as often as they used to and are holding on to phones longer. They're going to start demanding more support and will go to whoever does it best in the end. Right now that's apple, and android OEMs like to follow in many cases. So once Apple starts making their longer support a big part of their marketing, if they don't already, it'll force other OEMs. well if you had to pay $800 - $1200 for a device wouldn't you want to hold on to it for a while too? Of course people aren't going to be willing to upgrade as often when prices just continue to go up for the devices. The problem with Android still that Apple doesn't have to deal with is the Carriers. The Carriers still control android updates to a point. Google is doing a lot to try and minimize this by separating out the security updates but it's still a big problem. Until the carriers can't dictate when and if updates are allowed to push then it's going to continue being an issue for Android and its OEMs. I think it's more of a snowball effect, at some point phones got good enough that people started to hold on to them longer bit by bit, and we saw prices start to rise so OEMs could keep their revs growing etc. I honestly don't think it's prices that started it but higher prices are the effect. Either way, myself I have never dropped more than $600 for a phone, those higher $1k prices are criminal.

Do you honestly believe that’s the fix for Covid-19? No doubt it helps but come on....LOL. I guess you think it only spreads via dirty hands. 😂 Didn't say it was a fix. Just helps prevent it. Just as much as the Flu. We see how well that works. Well, exactly.... So why you calling people hypocrites if you know that largely it does f all to help? Cause they don't know how to defend themselves. Like you said "No doubt it helps but come on..." you missed the point entirely.

  29. Google Pixel 4a leak points to $399 price tag

I am on exact same boat, I right now have Pixel 3a and mostly likely will switch to iPhone if they came out any good in upcoming month. I am also extremely unhappy with how buggy google's updates are! yes, buggieness, bad slow downs over time, and lack of consistent updates (especially for security) are the main things that are drawing me away from Android. That and the price gauging from the flagship OEMs doesn't make things any better for someone that has to buy their phone out right and can't subsidize. Back when iPhones were the expensive choice it was one thing but now a days iPhones are cheaper than all Android Flagships and even cheaper than a lot of mid-tier devices ... (comparing Amazon prices and not directly from Apple)

less insecurities with HTML5 but you're right about the ad situation, that hasn't improved any. In education a LOT of sites still use Flash, sadly. Some will probably never get updated, either. which is sad considering there are Flash to HTML5 conversion tools out there if they don't want to put in their own effort to switch over ...

  31. Google Pixel 4a leak points to $399 price tag

$400 for a very mid-tier phone does not improve my view of the android scene. I'm leaning more and more towards getting an iPhone for my next upgrade. Gonna see what the iPhone SE2 has to offer when announced probably later this month then probably gonna get an iPhone XR. Can get it for about the same price and will be assured to have at least 3 to 4 years of support unlike pretty much any Android device including these Pixels. And this is coming from someone that has always chosen Android for my smartphones until now.

  37. Tesla manufactures its 1,000,000th electric car

oh comon now that can't be right... lets look at revenue... Volkswagen US$278 billion Tesla.. 24.57 billion USD humm 10x less revenue... * scratches head * lol The VW Group does global manufacturing, distribution, and sales of an entire catalog of brands including Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, SEAT, and Škoda... not to mention trucking brands Scania and MAN, and they also own Ducati. And they have many other ventures (including financial services). Tesla is only 1 brand with 3-5 models, only has 3 gigafactories worldwide, distributes in limited markets and dealerships (due to various regulations against their direct-to-consumer strategy), and their only other revenue-generating venture is solar panels technology. 1/10th revenue with 1/1000th's the resources, scales, markets, services, etc. Overall, Tesla is operating much more efficiently as an enterprise and definitely deserves kudos for being less wasteful... oh, and without global emissions scandals as VW has been guilty of. So it sounds more like a bubble. VW, a group of companies with lots of products and services versus an only-trick-pony company with only 3 gigafactories. Based on the business efficiencies (dramatically less spending but still generating 1/10th the annual revenue), it's not a bubble at all! It would actually indicate an absence of efficiency on VW's behalf (they should have 10x more annual revenue based on their operating costs and global scale) and a model for dramatic cost-cutting opportunities @ VW. From a simple quantitative measure, they might actually perform at the same levels (revenue per factory [scaled on a per-assembled-car basis])... and if they don't (assuming Tesla is more cash-generating) then Tesla is assuredly the more optimal business.
