Samsung Galaxy S20 reportedly selling a lot less units than the Galaxy S10

This is not because of COVID . This is because it there is little reason. To get it over s10. Calling it s20 instead of s11 did not work and smart people bought s10 on sale when s20 came out9 points -

Personally, I thought that finale was utterly glorious. If you watch sci-fi to pick holes in plots then that's fine - I watched it for enjoyment and absolutely was not disappointed. Comments like "Can someone please tell me just WTH just happened there?" and "The finale was confusing" - it really wasn't hard to follow.4 points -

White nationalists want to exclude people from society simply based on their skin colour/ethnic origin, often with violence. Anti religious people mostly just believe that religion promotes harmful and outdated views that should be opposed. Do their laptops/desktops currently have bezels smaller than these? Seems ridiculous to take screen real estate from a large device. https://www.dell.com/en-au/sho...w-13/spd/xps-13-9300-laptop If all you do is stare at your desktop and never use full-screen applications then, sure, I understand why you might not care for losing some. 🤷🏽♂️2 points -

I’m a little disappointed with the finale. I don’t think it’s believable that romulan fleet would just turn back so easily after hundreds of years of believing something. i would have liked to have seen that advanced AI in the portal come through, but if they’re watching and so powerful why did they need to be invited in and need the portal to stay open. I mean, say they did successfully destroy the transmitter, would they just say “well guess they don’t need our help”..2 points -

They do not ban you base on what you say in private conversation unless the other person reports you for harassment (and in most cases they just advise they person to block you). Also, Facebook does not ban groups because they are anti-globalist. They ban people and groups that promote bigotry and hatred for other individuals and those that are trying spread misinformation during a pandemic (and frankly I would say they are not doing a good enough job on either front).2 points -

Star Trek: Picard (CBS All Access)
+primortal reacted to shockz for a topic
Was a predictable ending with the synths/big baddie. Wrapped up a little fast to me. Glad we got some Data closure, how it was handled in Nemesis was terrible. Hope we hear more about the omnipotent androids, have a feeling it's control based. Having Picard as a synth initially was off putting, really cheapened his death, and he did die. The synth is a clone. Not Picard. They specifically said they mapped an image of his brain and overlaid it on. Would have preferred them using terms like transferred or moved as opposed to copied. Happy Seven got back on track. All in all a solid series.season, slow burn and then a too fast ending. B+.1 point -
Tesla Autopilot could potentially start detecting traffic lights in the future
n_K reacted to auziez for a topic
I think the tech needs big improvement. Not only from the cars, but I think traffic systems need to employ some sort of tracking and "talking" with cars. Still a loooong way off for that. But nevertheless, its coming. Especially with 5g around the corner, it is becoming more and more reality for everything to constantly be sending data to eachother.1 point -

Have you put the 8 pin PCI-E gpu power lead into the graphics card? Should still work tough! Also try re-seating the RAM [make sure you have them in the right slots] or just 1 stick for testing. Any beeps when you try to turn on? Also, you are attaching the cable to the back of the graphics card not the motherboard.1 point -

Tesla has a very very vvvveeeerrrryyyy long history of testing with agonizingly slow software feature deployments (at least when it comes to self-driving features). Highway self driving was implemented slowly over the last 3 years, and even now it's not perfect and still requires driver attention, still requires driver control, but is actually reasonably practical to use. All your questions are otherwise valid, but understand that even now, any errors in judgement by the car are overridden by the driver. Learning systems are learning, and the only way it can learn is by running. To that end, it's been running in "shadow mode" but it's now becoming more active, apparently. Also, regional deployments are common with Tesla as well. I think it's generally wrong to assume that something is simply not possible or impractical and that's a reason to not do it. They've done some amazing work with analyzing what the car can see, interpret, and respond to.1 point -

Issue with Google Voice?
jnelsoninjax reacted to goretsky for a topic
Hello, It might be a problem with how the DTMF payload from your phone/OBI telephony adapter was being transmitted, or how the recipient was handling it. If it is just one particular caller, than I would say the issue is at their end. If it is for all calls you make where a button on the phone must be pressed, than I would suspect the phone, the TA, or your service provider. Also, keep in mind that with so many people working from home right now, it is possible there is some kind of stability issue or service degradation with the service provider. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky1 point -

Netflix to reduce streaming quality in Australia, India and some Latin American countries
matthiew reacted to adrynalyne for a topic
Thing is, you still have 4K. But at lower bitrates. Yes, it sucks, I agree. I'm just saying, Netflix can use this argument as defense against these types of complaints. Ok so let say for example they say after all this, let's keep this bitrate and charge customers the same? Would you be ok with that? This goes to both you and @Steve121178 [Junk] I paid for a particular service, I expect that service. If the product changes for the better or worse then I'm happy to pay accordingly. I don't keep going to a restaurant every week expecting the same meal for the same price and all of a sudden they remove the sides but keep the price the same. I don't want to hear their excuses about the flu v2.0. They have the bandwidth, counties/ISPs have it too. If not, then they should upgrade their equipment/backhaul. This is just a knee jerk reaction to save a couple of bucks, plain and simple. Same as Facebook and YouTube etc. For gods sake...cry me a river. This is due to something WORLDWIDE. Stop blabling If this is freaking you out and you're mad about it....man, I really don't know what to say than there are other important things in life considering this is only for a moment. If it is a big deal..decide with your wallet. Stop whinning, take action , you're a grown man in a capitalist world. Don't pay for it...simple as that. Jesus, you just don't get it. It's a matter of principle. They provide a service for a set price. Don't alter it and charge the same. Sounds like you'd be fine if they just cut the quality in half and keep charging you the same account. GG capitalist world *ROLLS EYES* Obvious solution of course, is to complain on Neowin, instead of canceling.1 point -

Bad ideas can be demolished with good arguments, facts and evidence. Censorship just hides the problem under the carpet and people soon forget how to counter bad ideas. Censorship makes people stupid and gullible. In USSR, state censored all media from pseudoscience and nonsense. Guess what happened when censorship was gone and media became free? Scammers infected all media like a virus and masses were gobbling sea of nonsense like it was some holly truth. It took about 10 years for skeptical society to educate masses on how to recognize scams and filter truth from lies by themselves. Censorship is not the answer. Answer is to challenge bad ideas with good arguments in public.1 point -
