  6. Here's how to install Instagram v42.0.2.0 on W10M

BREAKING NEWS - FOR ALL WINDOWS 10 MOBILE LOVERS LIKE ME😜 Here's how to install Instagram v42.0.2.0 on W10M💙 1. On W10M go to Settings and enable the Developer Mode: Settings -> Update and Security -> For developers -> Developer mode 2. From your PC, go to the following website which allows you to discover and download the file package directly from the Microsoft Store: https://store.rg-adguard.net/ as "URL link" put this URL: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/instagram/9nblggh5l9xt press the button on the right to get the download link. 3. Now you can download the .appxbundle file from the second link 4. Copy this file from your PC to your OneDrive so you can easily find it on your phone 5. Go to your phone, open OneDrive and download this file to your phone (for example, in the Download folder). 6. From your phone, open the "File explorer" app, go to the folder in which you have copied that file and launch it to start the installation. 7. Wait a few seconds and the Instagram app will be installed. If you open the Store app, you'll find it installed as Instagram version 42.0.2.0 😲, which is the latest version also available for PC ◾ It also works on W10M AU (14393.x) 😲 The app opens in landscape mode, but it works fine. It also supports the resuming from the suspended state! => Long life to W10M 🥂🍾

  7. That is *exactly it* - potential scale. Can the core data be trusted? Everybody and their cousins (for various reasons) is saying *no* - it can't - and therein lies the problem.

  9. HP's Envy 17 is now available with Ice Lake CPUs and Nvidia graphics

I don't mind the half size up down keys as much as I mind them getting paired with full size left right keys. Makes finding your spot on the keyboard harder than it needs to.

  13. SpaceX Super Heavy and Starship updates

It's could be a pressure issue, perhaps the lower tank lost pressure rather than it just simply being structurally too week to support the weight from above. This is the point of the prototypes though, testing scenarios to make sure designs can stand up to all of the various scenarios. I'm sure all rockets have gone through similar stages of testing. I think this is a different issue to the previous failure so hopefully it's a case of fixing one issue and moving on to a new one.

  15. Where is the core data coming from and what about the non core data? When I see the charts and the arcs are going up for every country and China's flatlines, something is up. They either quit reporting or found a Data from Star Trek, just in the nick of time cure with some mass positron flashing light thingy.

  16. I know it feels like ages, but it won't even have been 5 years yet for desktop CPUs. Nevertheless, during the same time span from 2000 to 2005, on mainstream segment, we went from 1Ghz single-core 180nm 32-bit to 2.4Ghz dual-core 90nm 64-bit CPUs. Granted, we did also get the core doubling this time, but at the cost of significantly higher power consumption. Considering that they won't deliver 10nm or better for desktop until at least next year, it is still very humiliating for them. It's probably the worst humiliation they've ever had for their manufacturing capabilities. With things the way they are now, building a new PC or buying lots of them are very low on the list of priorities. Mobile devices like laptops and ultrabooks make the bulk of the consumer PC space today anyways. That's why you see 10nm tiger lake chips showing up there first while the smaller desktop market is on hold. AMD is making key gains in servers where big money is made which is good for competition but still can't get a good foot into laptops/ultrabooks as of right now. And the GPU side is still not firing on all cylinders for them. Actually, both AMD and Intel are going to start seeing more pressure in the datacenter space with the advance of ARM server chips with insane core counts of their own, up to 96 cores last I read. They also have the ability to run 3 threads per core instead of 2. Amazon has made a big move to use them in their AWS centers more and more.

  27. I remember when the Envy HP's first came out. They were a BEAST. The 15in was one of the few machines that where, at the time, thin, and fit 2 drives for RAID. The 14in had an "amazing" 1600x900 Radiant display, which was VERY rarely in stock, and the cheaper panel looked like you were looking through a window screen. It was the ONLY time I liked the ENVY line.

  31. SpaceX Super Heavy and Starship updates

This has been SpaceX's philosophy from the very beginning. Test. Fix. Repeat. I'm just glad they decided to use SS and not carbon fiber. Quicker to build, cheaper, and easier to work with. They probably would be bankrupt if they lost this many CF tanks.

George Carlin has a bit about losing things, and if I could answer that age old question with technology, by all means...

  38. Who says they become obsolete? All my smartphones (bar one that had a hardware fault) have lived 3-4 years easy. It's people's mindset that ask for new and shiny that sees phones switched out for newer models every 1-2 years. The phones themselves often perform just fine.

  42. Personally, I never liked tablet mode. I generally would just use touch, on the normal desktop experience. Quite a few apps had a tablet mode you could enable to help with spacing and larger icons. I welcome the change because it was already my method on my Surface Book.

  48. Very disappointed with the Cortana downgrades. If Microsoft wants people to use Cortana, wouldn't you try to enhance it by making it more useful? Removing functionality hurts existing users and is unlikely to entice potential users. The new productivity improvements for Cortana are probably nice, but why not expand the skill sets? I thought Microsoft wanted to be on the forefront of newish tech? It's hard to be taken seriously if parts of the ecosystem are being deprecated rather than being expanded upon.

  49. I think this version also officially replaces edge with the chromeified edge, and includes the new terminal. Too bad Cortana is losing out on some really basic Assistant functionality like music playback
