lmao who was that?! Hilarious You don't know? He's the US General who comes on here and pretends to be impartial in his bias. Usually tells everybody how he's bought the newest and most expensive apple crap for himself and his whole family (They all have the latest most expensive iphones, apple watches, mac computers, etc.). Depending on the article, he's either devoted to Apple, in love with Windows 7 and it's the last version of Windows he ever uses, uses Linux instead of Windows or comes back to Apple only. Oh, he drives some American muscle car too and did I mention, is a strong American active/former military patriot (No idea and don't really give a royal toss). I know exactly who you're referring to, Mugwump00, because every time I see some ridiculously overpriced Apple product, I picture him driving up in his military uniform buying half a dozen of things "for his whole family" with his muscle car.3 points -

Nothing has changed: * Bill Gates is still the privileged nerd with zero empathy for others. Bill Gates should write the book "How to elude to pay taxes and profit from it (and some idiots call me a good person)!". * Trump is a crock and a womanizer but nobody is fooling to think the opposite. But, if you compare Trump with practically every dems candidate around here, then Trump is a holy saint. Do you want to oust Trump? Then give me a good candidate. * WHO = Politics. Who needs them? Nobody. * China = It still hates Winnie the Pooh. China is guilty of everything! * And some members of the forum = I follow my "master" to the death!. Sheesh with those manservants. But I have the solution to this problem. Bill Gates should give (from his own pocket) money to WHO. Everybody wins!.3 points -

Highly doubtful. Besides having to deal with this crisis, the state of the country has been at it's strongest state ever. Trump is taking the stance of calling countries and organizations out that have leeched off US funding but not provided sufficient benefits. How is that a bad thing? But hey, if you allow the whiney media do to your thinking, that's your choice... If Trump found a cure for cancer, you and your media thinkers would still find a way to spin it negatively... You mean, as opposed to the right wingers who loudly chanted that Michelle Obama was propagandizing that people should drink more WATER? Or the multiple times where Pres. Obama did something that is completely normal, and screamed how it was "unpresidential" (tan suit, playing with babies in the oval office, going on a bike ride etc). These same individuals now think the Grifter-in-Chief, the chronic liar in the White House is acting perfectly normal and Presidential... Yeah, if you allow the rightwing media (FOX and OAN) to do your thinking, that's your choice. What in the world are you rambling about... That deflection was completely out of context. Since you refuse to discuss or refute my point, shall we assume that you agree with me? Have you not noticed that every leftwing media outlet complains about every waking thing Trumps does since the day he stepped into office? Take your blinders off...3 points -

It's a pretty well documented fact that the WHO downplayed covid-19 early on and was more or less covering for China in the process instead of calling for quicker and more strict action as soon as the start of January. If all these other countries have a issue, they're more than free to boost their own funding to the WHO if they want. There's real no reason why one country should pay for most of this stuff when peoples health should be more global anyways. When the #2 spot is a foundation while all these other countries are lower on the list, it just shows how the whole thing is pretty silly. I'd much rather a chunk of that money that went to the WHO went to the CDC at this point.3 points -

Bill Gates has warned, repeatedly, about the threat of global pandemics. His tweet is spot on with respect to the W.H.O. This is just a knee-jerk, idiotic response from someone who said: "I don't take responsibility at all"2 points -

But hey, if you allow the whiney media do to your thinking, that's your choice... If Trump found a cure for cancer, you and your media thinkers would still find a way to spin it negatively... He does whatever it takes to divert from his failures. Blaming the WHO for something he was warned about in December, again in January and once more in February by his advisers. He even claimed last year that the WHO can't be trusted, so why did he suddenly trust them when it came to this pandemic. I'm so glad that his TV ratings are great again. /s It's hard to shut down an economy when there were little facts of what the virus would eventually do. It's not like the US lagged behind the rest of the world at it's response. It's more of the opposite actually. What does the WHO offer that country's can't do themselves? If you can't give a good answer to that question, then what's the point of funding that organization? Talk is cheap, but solutions are worthy of funding. Plus it's pretty clear that the WHO and China are tight buddies, which is obviously the exact opposite of who you want to be giving money to right now...2 points -

Do you have any evidence to back up that the state of the country has been at its strongest ever? Or that the WHO has been leeching off the US? Or that other countries/organizations been leeching off the US? Don't get me wrong, I don't trust a word Trump says and want some hard facts to read. Not that its even remotely plausible that Trump find a cure for cancer, but of course there would people that would spin it negatively. Some body has to pay the most whether by a lot or a little. Just look at the idiots he's picked for his new task force to see what kind of idiot he is! Why do we have to pay? Trump is a business man - if we're not getting a return on our investment into this organization it's good business sense to stop throwing money at it. Ya, he's a businessman that has ran how many companies/casinos into bankruptcy? Anyone that can run a casino into bankruptcy sure doesn't know how to hire qualified people!
