At this stage India looks and acts like a proper candidate to get a permanent voting seat at UN. It is also China who keeps blocking the move every time. A lot of other countries have suffered different pressure and hostilities from China. China is acting like a bully to other nations to what it feels US is doing to them.3 points -

Nice, two super evil - world's biggest economic Titans- just trying to exert dominance. Nothing unexpected - seems the pond isn't big enough for two big predatory sharks. Let's be clear on one thing - all governments and their capitalist MNCs are evil - and they all have committed similar crimes like intellectual property *theft* and unfair trade practises. The drama here isn't about right & wrong. It's about the government trying to defend its own big(paying) lobbyists' income, and cripple the other. Nothing new, and definitely not a good vs evil fight.3 points -

Very true, but only if all the players are playing the same rules. China is playing by its own set of rules. And the US by its own rules. Europe wants to do the same with mild success. Most of Africa will probably end up playing by chinese rules. The US could probably benefit from a better colaboration with South America, but because of bad history, at least partially cause by the US, they will probably end up sucking up to China. Manufacturing in the US, which probably will never happen in any considerably meaningful capacity, will mean exactly diddly-squat if materials are mined in China influenced African countries. This needs a long game plan to influence, for the better, allied economies, and build actual economic relationships, and have actual training for these kinds of workers. But in a country that does not punish (but in fact sometimes reward) the hiding of profits in off-shore accounts and needs a dozen permits to move cables on a pole, and allows for a lot of monopolies, this is not likely to happen.2 points -

Needs silicone tips. There are aftermarket ones you can probably get like for the original Airpods but then they won't fit in the charger, and it's never as good as a specific built-in design. The stupid things will fall out your ears, and the noise isolation you get from silicone tips is a big deal for me.2 points -

That's because anything to do with Trump is sensationalized. When he was against ZTE, everyone had bleeding hearts for China. Then he tries to work with ZTE, suddenly he's a pro-China commie, just trying to protect his vested interests as he has business with China between himself and his family. Besides, half the time Trump's telling us what a nice guy Xi Jinping is. Which is it? I'd personally not base my own opinion of China around Trump, who changes his mind on the daily about everything.1 point -

It's based on a Reuters report that states the statement came from China's foreign ministry to a question they asked (see sources at the end): https://uk.reuters.com/article...ion-of-huawei-idUKKBN22S0DE Comments that seem to originate from pro-China propagandists only serve to irritate people who have seen enough of the Chinese government's (and Chinese firms') unprincipled behavior over the years, and further destroys what little is left of China's moral reputation.1 point -

There's no defense for China, buddy. If the plandemic wasn't not enough for you then I'm very sorry, but you're one of the brainwashed. China is the number one enemy of the world, with Russia silently working in the background. Both want to destroy the West. Opening anything up (or selling assets) for them would be a treason to the American people. I think you got the wrong idea, I wasn't being pro-Chinese or anything. I was calling out his comment about brainwashed users on neowin and asking for him to back it up with some facts, if any, on the topic at hand. The lack of any reply till now means he probably doesn't have a clue. The reasons for the current US and China trade war are many, and they go back years, it's become even more of a issue once they let them join the WTO.1 point -

Outlook absolutely supports 2 factor auth for outlook.com and office 365 Yep, one thing in office 365 is that you may need to make changes vis powershell to enable modem auth Is this 'modern auth' you reference different from modern authentication ? My poor, sweet Outlook 2010 does not support this according to Microsoft. Yes your decade old software lacks support for new features. Welcome to computing I guess. An apparent arbitrary and artificial limitation ... I am unapologetic that I am still using this software. Honest question, how do you expect to have new features when you don't update it?1 point -

Epic Games shows off Unreal Engine 5 on the PlayStation 5
Moonian reacted to George P for a topic
The engine itself does, this demo doesn't use it though. They wanted to show off their new Lumen lighting API which is a middle ground between baked lighting (devs having to place each light source through the environment by hand etc) and ray tracing where you just set one source, i.e. the sun, and hardware does the rest. From the sounds of it, their new tech lets you place the source where you want and then the engine does the calculations and sets them as if it was ray tracing. That's a pretty basic way to think of it, I'm sure.1 point -
