How to install or uninstall Cortana on Windows 10 May 2020 Update

Feels strange? We never had one in any other versions of windows. And computers have been around longer than digital assistants. So what? Cortana has been the default assistant on Windows 10 for a while. And I have digital assistants on damn near all my devices. Yes, having a device without a digital assistant would feel strange to me. How you feel, or how you think I should feel, is irrelevant. What is it with people on here that they get upset at every little thing? I just thought it was a bit strange that it felt strange not to have a Digital assistant on a computer, since we never had until Windows 10. cortana has been the default assistant on Windows ten since it was created, myself i just never thought of it being much use on a computer, i am sure some people will think differently. i thought it was strange to put one on a computer in the first place, but I presume MS was trying to get into the D.A market as well and the phone market, and they failed on both accounts. Strange that Amazon who have never had a phone platform has managed to get into the D.A market and is doing very well. Maybe if cortana have done ok, in years to come it would have been a normal thing on a computer just like a GUI is these days, who knows. I am glad that in the new release of Windows we can now get rid of cortana, just a shame MS could not make it a simple option in the settings, but I suppose Ms do not want us to get rid of it.2 points -

But clearly no where near Biden level (it's going to be priceless watching Trump stream-roll Biden in the debates). Trump 2020 for the sake of the country as if the godless left gets into power they will destroy the country as they want things to return to pre-Trump era (i.e. back to their usual corruption and the hell with the common person). many in power on the left are inline with this verse from the Bible... "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter." - Isaiah 5 : 20 because on the left what was once good is now bad and what was once bad is now good. they basically favor disorder over order. Please provide examples of how Biden is more of a child than Trump. Im unaware of examples of Biden running away from female reporters who ask basic questions or making fun of and calling people names almost daily or whine about being fact checked and suggest taking away Constitutional Rights. So if you have examples of Biden being worse than what Trump has done, Id love to see them. As for your biblical nonsense, not sure what that has anything to do with the current topic.2 points -

I am glad that in the new release of Windows we can now get rid of cortana, just a shame MS could not make it a simple option in the settings, but I suppose Ms do not want us to get rid of it. No offense, but everything that your explained in the second reply, should have been in the first. If I'm upset at anything, it was the lack of meat on that bone. As for Microsoft, I'm personally not too bothered that they didn't make a bigger splash in the smart device. Partially because I use voice assistants regularly but for the bare minimum. Nonetheless, it would have been nice to have more options than Google or Amazon. I know there's Apple but it seems like Siri integration has really fallen off in comparison to Google/Alexa. If people want a smart assistant on their computer then that is fine, but some of us don't and Cortana was pushed and pushed and yet in many countries it was no good it did not work or worked to a minimum. Ms wanted everyone to use Cortana and their cloud features on windows 10 and it was difficult to get away from it. Even now Ms have turned tables again and making it more difficult for people using the home version of Windows to install or set up without a MS account, in that you have to disconnect the computer from the net to set up a local account. So far they have not done that on the pro version, unless they have done it on this new update. I have no problem with personal well I did a couple of years ago, I did not want one in the house, a mate of mine even shoved a Echo dot in my hand and let me take it home, it stayed in the hallway in the bag I used to bring it home in. It was only when I stayed at my mates place for a few days that I got into it and decided to try one here. i now have five of the things and got it connected to my lights, my coffee machine and a few other things. but I just do not want one on my computer, I do not feel the need for it.. Maybe when/if i get around to moving rooms around and I set up the other computer I will put it on that one, but then again, I am planning to have the second machine as a Linux machine. But we will see.1 point -

Is MetroPCS (metro by T-Mobile) Really as Reliable as T-Mobile?
spacelordmaster reacted to Joe User for a topic
As a MVNO (Mobile virtual network operator) Metro has a lower priority on the T-Mobile network. So, if you're in a highly congested area, T-Mobile customers will get better speeds. Also, I don't believe they have the same roaming abilities as T-Mobile customers do. Not sure about their customer service. If you're just going for a TMo MVNO, Mint Mobile is pretty darn good.1 point -

How to install or uninstall Cortana on Windows 10 May 2020 Update
FunkyMike reacted to Fleet Command for a topic
As I said above, the article is wrong in two accounts. First, the "-AllUser" token is not needed. It imposes the admin right requirement but otherwise does nothing. Here is the proof. https://imgur.com/zzEKrgb As you can see, the "-AllUser" token does not cause the app to be removed from multiple accounts. Second, you don't need administrative privileges to uninstall Cortana from your account. Here is the proof. https://imgur.com/axuIPOj And, Anmol Mehrotra, I hope you were not offended by my rather forceful rebuttal of your claim that "-AllUser" (as used by the article) removes Cortana from all user accounts. I meant no offense. But regardless, you were wrong. News outlets have a duty to publish their stories with oversight.1 point -

Not required. Wrong. Must be this: Actually you will need -allusers to remove the app for all the users. People do use shared computers with different users. The command you shared will not remove it for everyone but just the active user, which is why you don't need Administrative privileges.1 point -

RP-1 cannot be made by in-situ resource utilization on the Moon, Mars, Ceres, or other interesting bodies. Methane can, and in some places it's laying about as methane ice or as a liquid. It also delivers a higher iSP than RP-1, important once out of the atmosphere. Looks like a GSE (ground support equipment) leak, not the vehicle. Still got tons of data from SN4 so... Build, test, fail, fix, iterate...no one has built a methane engine or rocket at anywhere near this scale before. They were going to re-do the GSE anyhow, adding vented methane capture & liquifiication, and a new rest pad further from the tank farm is half done. Starship SN5 is already stacked in High Bay 1 with a redesigned lower dome & engine mount, SN6 parts are waiting to be sacked, and SN7 parts are being made. The foundation for High Bay 2 has been poured.1 point -

Let's be real. This isn't about free speech. Conservatives are mad and claiming censorship cause their entire belief system is based on lies and these platforms are simply fact checking. They don't like facts. The claims that conservatives are targeted is proven false, and frankly they do lie and spread hate/threats of violence more than any other group. They have Fox news for uncensored lies and BS, and if they really want to they could create their own platform. Jordan Peterson is working on a red pill one already.1 point -

The side that demands big government solutions is now complaining that they don't want big government solutions? Pick your lane... First clue for you... no one seriously considers Trump a Messiah. He's a man. And he's a good President. Only one man walked on water and it sure shooting wasn't Trump. Meanwhile... lets talk about why Trump is President... because of how much of a failure Obama and Hillary are/were. They are THAT bad. When you realize that Trump is flawed... yet he's still beating the alternative... maybe you'll realize what that really says about how much of a pile of festering garbage the current Democrat Party is... Then a trumpet was heard in the distance...I think it was out of tune though. Here is a clue for you: I am neither a democrat or republican. What happened to choosing the side of Americans? It’s just black and white to you. I dislike conservatives as much as liberals, but support some ideas of both. I want what is best for our country; while you play a game of red vs blue. Saying he is good with the obvious lack of him understanding what the law is, mishandling of the pandemic, firing anyone who disagrees with him, golfs more than others, abuses his EO powers to infringe upon free speech, constant lying, belittling of others....what are you smoking?1 point -

But clearly social media sites like Facebook have too much power/political influence. that's why it's a problem and things need to be more neutral. While I agree that social media has too much influence, marking a post as not fact checked, or as misinformation after they do a fact check on it is hardly a problem and doesn't mess with your free speech right in the least. If anything the fact checking done and posted by Twitter is free speech. Free speech does not mean that your statements cannot be opposed by others, in fact it means that anyone can say you're wrong, something Trump seems to not understand. He is claiming to do this for free speech, but it's kinda odd to champion free speech by censoring others.1 point -

More like.... social media websites: free speech if your on the left, but if your on the right we will just claim it's hate speech (or some other BS) when it's really censorship of views we don't like (which is usually comments telling the truth because if they are not afraid of opposing views they would not have to censor them. but since the truth generally does not favor the left they have to resort to shady tactics to 'win').1 point -
