  1. She sure talked a lot without saying much....this struck me as she doesn't really understand "Defund the Police" ... "I would like to know that if I'm having trouble, that I can call on the public servants and the police and that they will protect me and my family. So I just don't think that's a good idea." The "movement" isn't to remove the police force ... it is to invest more into the community (education, housing, mental health...services that shouldn't require a man/woman with a gun, etc) and to shrink the roles of the police...so they can focus on crimes and reduce the demands placed on the police. You wouldn't know this by watching the likes of Tucker Carlson or Sean Hannity. They want you to believe that "Defund the Police" means to abolish the police...which isn't the case. Would such a thing work? No idea. Can we do better than what we have now...I would hope so. Heartless, immature cruel brat. I don't really hate many people...but this dude....😡

  10. The topic already lists his age as 75. You don't need to add more years to the poor guy. It seems to me, that all the police had to do, if they wanted to get him out of the way, was to lift him by his underarms and move him to the side. If they really felt the need to arrest him, they could have let the cops behind them handle that. Shoving a senior citizen in that way is inexcusable to me, unless that person is being extremely violent. This guy wasn't.

  12. Why didn't the cops just take him to the rear like they did a younger protester 15 seconds later? Also, what is a "killer" shove? Any shove can become "killer" if the person loses their balance and whacks their head on a hard substance...such as concrete. They shouldn't have shoved him ... period.

I'm sure Apple will use the ARM transition to kill Bootcamp off completely. And MacOS will not be user-installable, rather it will be similar to iOS or Android where it has to be flashed. Macbook SSDs are soldered already sooo

  17. The issue people are protesting and rioting a bout is not limited to the current Administration. This has been happening before 2016. Even before the Rodney King incident in 1991. And now that everyone has a cell phone, we are seeing more and more videos of it happening. It just keeps happening and people are getting more and more upset by it. And rightfully so. This has been an issue in the US for decades and just did not come about during the last 4yrs. This also goes for mass shootings and other incidents. Problems that should have been address a loooong time ago but keep getting ignored. It is a big deal when something happens but as soon as things calm down, it is no longer that important until the next incident. Shall see if this time is any different. People acting the way they are is nothing new.

  18. Why did you say all the officers? Why not the one that actually knocked him down in the first place or another cop? There were plenty of them there and there was only one other protester within the area so they could have easily spared one or two cops for a mere 2 minutes. Yes, it does. I bring light to the abuse done by a cop. It makes us humans and not automatons'.

  19. Yes, that is true but not all nations proclaim themselves to be the pillars of democracy and freedom like the U.S does. To be watching what has happened in the U.S since Trump was elected in 2016 has been eye opening and a realization the moral pillars America portrays to the world may be nothing more than a house of cards. This November will decide how the world views not just America but the values she claims to hold.

  20. I cannot believe people on here are actually trying to legitimise police officers in full riot gear shoving a man, probably in his 80's to the ground then showing no concern whatsoever for his health AS HE BLEEDS FROM HIS EAR, they were less than half his age and just strolled off leaving him lying in a pool of his own blood!!! A MAN IN HIS 80'S!!!! What in the hell is wrong with you? What the hell has happened to your country?! Where is the decency?

  24. Razer BlackWidow Elite: Modern problems require lo-tech solutions

I just purchased a BlackWidow Elite (Orange switches) and yes it is UK layout haha, but while gaming the wrist rest keeps slipping away to the right, so I decided on a low tech solution to this modern problem. I was kind of disappointed it didn't click in or something. I wonder if they fixed that with the Huntsman Elite, which has a RGB lit wrist rest (and cable). What do you guys think? I think the magnet to 'dock' the wrist rest is far too weak!

  26. Show us your PC Setup - Bonus points for RGB

I have no rgb these days, however bonus points for retro rgb? The metadata on this photo says it was taken on 23.01.2004: This was the first PC case I purchased. I believe it was the cool thing to have neon light strips in your PC at the time, I then expanded upon that with a few additional case fans I got for £1 each that were a few different colours. Pretty sure at the time that PC contained: Athlon XP 2200+ 512MB SD Ram 80gb and 120gb IDE hard drive GeForce MX 440 Windows XP These days I preferer my PC to be incognito and not light up like a Christmas tree, as nice as I think modern rgb is on setup photos!

  28. Funny you say that, I noticed that at work. We had an application logging things and needed to launch multiple instances of it. Each instanced used about 500MB of RAM! It wasn't even a complex application, we needed to run 20 or so instances on an old test machine with 4GB of RAM and the C# developer said 'buy more RAM'... Created my own small logger in C++ with Qt, 4MB RAM usage per instance. C shite as I call it can ###### right off, horrible language. That sounds more like incompetent developers more than anything else. I've worked on far more complex projects that include file logging as well as db access that have used 100mb or so.

I'll take, things that won't happen in 2020 Alex, 200. At best they announce a dev kit, and hand them out like candy at the conference to get developer buy in. Even then I'd be shocked, it's pretty un-Apple to give hardware freebies out.

What does it even matter - what does that argument achieve? I have approached police before. Which is absolutely normal. Are we meant to consider the police forces being unapproachable a norm?

If that happened to your father or grandfather would you be outraged that the cop just walked away after shoving him to the ground for no reason?

  49. Apple might announce its plans for ARM MacBooks at WWDC

I don't see it being much different than the PowerPC to x86 transition. Apple did a good job with that cross compatibility emulation. If they can do that again then it will be a seamless transition that end users will hardly notice. I have a feeling Microsoft will eventually offer Windows on ARM ISOs just like the x86/x64 flavor; it's just a matter of time. So I doubt Bootcamp support will be going anywhere either. Because x86 was faster than PowerPC. ARM is not
