Share if your Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 2004) is blocked

What I wish they would do is stop treating all users like idiots.. What is the "specific" reason you have my machine on the block list.. Give me the details.. So I can replace it, or update it or whatever... But just saying your machine is not ready is just nonsense.. Sure billy bob user doesn't know or care - but where is the button for those that do want to know can get the info.. Or for that matter command I need to run...3 points -

You sure Envisionbank isn't using some other domain to handle transactions or whatever? You could clear cookies, enable them, go to Envisionbank and see what all cookies are populated during a routine visit and "allow" them. Also, there is a slider in Chrome to clear cookies on exit...probably would be easier just to do that.2 points -

Windows 10 2004. Once again sticking with the defaults aside for enabling colours on the taskbar\borders. I lost interest with customisations when Vista was released. I never really change the wallpaper anymore as I'm never satisfied with how it looks so just stick to the defaults. openSUSE Tumbeweed. I've changed a few things here to lighten it up a bit and switched the openSUSE wallpaper for the KDE wallpaper for this version of Plasma. A lot of distros now seem to go for a really dark look by default and I'm really not a fan of dark themes.2 points -

Yea, you said "allow all cookies" works ... so allow all cookies and then tick that slider so cookies will be deleted when you close Chrome. I'm willing to wager that it the bank is using some other domain to handle financial transactions (maybe their parent corp Randolph Bancorp) ... but I'm not going to open an account to find out for sure. 🙂1 point -

Ironic, XP users used to claim the same silliness. And the same sentiment from Windows 2000 users. To be fair I remember the DOS users clinging onto DOS over win95/98. :-/1 point -

Corsair CX550M, is it a budget psu?
Newb reacted to PGHammer for a topic
I've had my Corsair CX550M for years - it's a quality (yet BUDGET) PSU. It's 80+-rated, it can work in any configuration from mATX to full ATX, and can even drive SLI configurations in mATX - not easy to do. Why folks want high-wattage PSUs is usually due to large numbers of platter drives. I get it; platter drives - and especially those with large capacities - can eat wattage like Reese's Pieces. The real issue nowadays with how much PSU will be storage - and platter drives in particular.1 point -
Windows 10 version 2004 is here - here's what you need to know about it
devHead reacted to adrynalyne for a topic
Oh no, Atlantico, they are adding many useful features to it. Didn't you read the post above? They are small features, granted, but when you have an OS that has been out for this many years, adding smaller incremental updates and features is what we expect and want. I am assuming you don't work at Microsoft on the Windows team, so I don't think you can intelligently speak to what they're doing on the OS. Right, so because you "expect and want" nothing, then that means I'm wrong. Bizarre. When you state it as fact? Correct, you are wrong. It isn’t meaningful to you. Odd you don’t understand such a simple concept. No, I am in fact very much correct. Windows 10 is in maintenance mode. Some users don't expect any new features of note, so it's odd that you don't understand such a simple concept and choose to post a knee-jerk reaction comment instead. It's like you are emotionally invested. I'm emotionally invested? Wow, that's hilarious. You have twice as many posts on this subject. Plus, I don't know what is "knee-jerk" about my reaction. You didn't see my reaction. Maybe you're not fully aware of what that word means. I imagine him with a complete blank look on his face. He has no idea what we are talking about. He literally thinks his opinion is fact. It’s amusing. I was also accused of a knee-jerk reaction. It’s his new buzzword. Reading comprehension isn't the strong suit of those emotionally invested, as I never talked about anyone having a knee-jerk reaction *except* you @adrenalyne - the other poster simply doesn't understand quoting and thinks that all responses to this thread are personal responses to him. It's par for the course, I suppose. That being said, it's not my opinion that Windows is in maintenance mode, it's an observation. No features worth mentioning for more than a year, no features worth mentioning planned for the next year, no plan for Windows going forward at Microsoft. In fact, Microsoft's future, according to the CEO, is in the cloud service industry and will serve all platforms. This is not apparent to anyone who is emotionally invested in Windows, but it's apparent to everyone else. Windows will be supported indefinitely, but this is the last version of Windows. How many ways and how many times does Microsoft have to tell you the same thing for you to understand their strategy? Emotionally invested in Windows? I use a Mac. 😂😂😂 Keep trying, as other posters besides me have pointed out, you have no idea what you are talking about. It’s been months since you started this nonsense and you still haven’t learned a thing. That means that posting here is a further waste of my time and I will go ahead and let you have the last word. It’s very important to you, clearly. I would hate to rob you of that privilege.1 point -

Disney+ ends seven-day free trial period offering for new customers
freedonX reacted to RejZoR for a topic
Sorry, Disney+ is not available in your region. F**k you Disney. This is the message I get when I wanted to check their pricing. Whine just one god damn time about piracy and I'm gonna smack you right in the face. And I'm not even living in some African or some obscure eastern Asian country. I'm living in a freaking center of Europe. I get furious just the same every time I see Spotify. Coz they show me the exact same dumb message. I guess my € just aren't good enough compared to I don't know, German € or French €. Well, piracy it is then.1 point -
Apple will close some U.S. stores after a spike in COVID-19 cases
SecretAgentMan reacted to Mobius Enigma for a topic
Things were opened in spite of the statistics. Reopen based on trials and scientific models, rather than arbitrary bs. Apple like others are putting greed ahead of safety. Notice the huge spikes are in anti-mask populations that pushed to reopen early.(aka Trump Red States) You’re making my point.... there will be spikes as things reopen. Whether or not they should have been reopened is a discussion that can be had, but my comment was simply an observation that I find apples action on this a bit strange. Nothing more, nothing less. Yes there will be spikes... However confirming this truth is MISSING THE POINT. If you have an area or a state where numbers are still growing and have not peaked, opening business and stores will cause EXPONETIAL spikes. This is what is DANGEROUS. (This is not even including other metrics that decisions to reopen would normally be based on, like hospital occupancy percentages, testing facilities, etc.) I get your point; however, others reading might not be coming from a position of understanding. Apple's actions were weird, as they NEVER should have opened stores in these areas in the first place. These areas had increasing infection numbers, and conditions for opening included few protections for customers or employees. BTW The main 'goal' in forcing opening, was to shift the financial responsibility to employees and small business, and government protections and insurance companies would no longer would be liable. It is quite ######ed up, as employees that could not go back to work because of sickness or exposure risks, would no longer be able to draw unemployment, etc. It also means businesses that didn't want to subject customers/employees to high infections would then be responsible to pay the employees, instead of employment insurance or government aid. Most of this has been really disgusting, sick and cruel.1 point -

Not only that but some OEM PCs can't even get W10. My mother AIO from Dell couldn't run W8 or 10 without going insane. Unless that machine is WELL over a decade old, I'm calling BS on that. Most of my family is running recycled machines that I picked up from thrift stores, did a few upgrades on (usually RAM and hard drives), and all of them are running Windows 10 with zero issues. These machines are anywhere from about 2008-2012 vintage.1 point -
