Xbox developers reportedly can't charge for the Series X upgrade
Meduso and 5 others reacted to Cask1 for a topic
We as customers need to vote with our wallets, and do not buy either version from developers that want to double dip. NBA 2k21 I wouldn’t buy anyway, but I’ll do that of any game that interests me that tries to pull the same ######. Microsoft is actually trying to be consumer friendly, and some greedy publishers are just seeing what they can do to squeeze us for more dollar6 points -

Xiaomi is an odd company. It is a Chinese company, but most of its stuff is built (and sold) in India, so it is mostly an Indian company than a Chinese. Anyways, both countries are not in the best terms. So, if it is not banned in India, then it's good for everyone (good if you trust on Modi). I love Xiaomi = good features, good quality (at least it is my experience), and insanely cheap.2 points -

I use Google Maps and it has the mania to hide the name of the streets. Please, stop doing that!. Example: the two images. It hides the name of the street and the center of the screen and it is important (if you are looking at some address). But who cares about Perkins Restaurant?2 points -

Google Maps tests showing traffic lights on Android
Jazmac and one other reacted to kopsarchidis for a topic
Google instead of keeping things clean and simple, useful in other words, it keeps bloating them with useless features that make it even harder to use. There is a ton of crap on the map that one needs a user's guide along with it to get their meaning. (Not to mention that in many cases the direction of the street is incorrect! Now add some traffic lights on that to have some real fun!)2 points -

Xbox developers reportedly can't charge for the Series X upgrade
dustojnikhummer and one other reacted to George P for a topic
This is the right move, any dev that tries to sell you some Series X DLC patch should be shot. If they actually make a physical version of the game and split them that way like they have done before, that's different. What MS is doing is stopping them from charging you for what amounts to a settings tweak for a game you already own.2 points -

Nintendo brings more retro games to the Switch, including Donkey Kong Country
wingliston reacted to Paul1979UK for a topic
So how many times is Nintendo going to try and sell the same games over and over again? At least if they remastered them then I could understand but there isn't any of that. If Nintendo had any morals, they would have the game purchase tied to your account so when they release a new console and the same game is on that platform, you get it free as it's tied to the account. Nintendo makes it easy for many to justify piracy, especially for a game that old.1 point -

AMD's Ryzen 3000XT processors now available, and come with Assassin's Creed Valhalla
ThaCrip reacted to ad47uk for a topic
I paid almost £300 for my Ryzen R7 1700, about $370 in today's rates, around 3 years ago, the most I have ever spent on a CPU, It still works well and I have no plans to update it, I should have spent a bit more on the motherboard and gone for the higher chipset, instead of the b350 chipset, but it works ok. I they converted the price via the exchange rates, then the price of the R7 3800Xt would not be much more, the problem is they don't do things that way, what they do is just stick a pound sign on, so your $399 will become £399. I have no plans to update, the difference for me would be minimal, if I was going to update I would go crazy and get myself a threadripper, I may do that at some point, but we will see how things go. I have 48GB of ram so that is fine, again I am not planning for any more, because I would need to get rid of what I have, this computer is now staying as it is, I do not need to get anything new for it. apart from maybe a better PSU, that can cope better with the power it draws, saying that the PSU that is in it should be fine, but I think that is what is causing the machine to crash now and again.1 point -

When they go portless, do you expect them to include a wireless charger as well? Yes. lol. Do you get angry when you buy something, but "batteries aren't included". I can see some of the debate with not including a cable, especially if you're a first time apple user, but expecting a wireless changer? Please. Expecting that users will either 1) have a wireless charger or 2) buy a charger on top of your $1k phone? Please. 5 years of updates, and the phone being fully functional that entire time? You'd have spent more than that on 2-3 decent android phones in the same amount of time. Please. You haven't refuted one bit of what I said. You just needlessly dragged Android into the situation. If you have an actual reason why people should have to drop extra money just to charge their $1k phone, then please do tell. Please. People don't need it? They already have a wireless charger, or go on eBay or amazon and get a charger 3 pack for 5 bucks? Nobody goes to an Apple store looking to just buy the $20 Apple charger. Charger/cables are by far one of the most disposable elements of Apple products, either breaking cords, or forgetting the charger at a hotel, etc... People have access to them, with far cheaper methods than using the apple bundled one. Also, you glazed over the original post you quoted... I said I can see *some* of the debate... as in it's a little ######, especially for first time Apple users, but also I get why they aren't including them... per basically everything I've already said. And also per the quote you originally started harping on, nobody should expect them to include a wireless charger. Again, please. Do keep up. But why should no body expect them to do so? I'd say that's a pretty damn basic expectation when you buy something that relies on a battery to function.1 point -

Have a few walk in closets in basement that are pretty deep, wide and tall. Have built racks to store them in a fairly well categorized order. It is quite hard to find a specific titled disc most of the time, but with the order I have them in, I can at least find the band I'm looking for. Have a few hundred of my favorites that are stacked in regular, plain old store bought cd holder racks in alphabetical order so I can find specific cd's in those. Have always kept a list of everything I have, so I don't have to many duplicates of titles. It has actually been a whole lot of work and at times, a PITA to have so many, but I'm always playing music where ever I'm at.1 point -
