I have nothing against people who write down thier passwords. I actually wish more people did. I'm far less worried about a thief breaking into someone's house and steeling all their passwords than i am about someone either forgetting a password or getting their account logged into because they use the same password everywhere. Whenever I'm helping someone remotely and we (as an example) log into google, I say "type in your email address", and they do. Then I say "type in your password", in which I'm thinking... wait for it... 3 ...2 ..."I never had a password" or "Oh, god I have no idea what my password is". Then they say, "Can I just type in a new password I want to use?" or "Can you change my password for me?". I say "No I cannot hack Google and change your password; we have to do "Forgot my password" and HOPE you have good recovery options" I've attempted on numerous occasions to try to show people something like LastPass, but I almost always INSTANTLY regret it as their eyes just fog over and they are totally lost. Even though it's not hard at all. Plus, all they usually end up doing is just saving the same password for every website in LastPass.3 points -

It wouldn't have mattered - in fact, Bixby is hated MORE than Alexa. The problem with Alexa is that there are a ton of ways to leverage it that don't require devices at all (Alexa can even replace Cortana on Windows; no - I'm not kidding, so get your jaws off the floor; there's an Alexa plug-in in the Store.) Speaking of Alexa vs. Bixby, Amazon is working on exactly that - a direct replacement for Bixby - requested by Samsung's customer base - mainly for Tizen devices, such as smart TVs.2 points -

Also, the spread of Coronavirus is thanks to the government of China. what are you ? where you come from? company "backed" by the government of China, ?? do you have proof ? they are not a regular company managed by corrupts and cretins. They are the cretins that kill people and they are good at it. ???? this is you personally intentionally evil against china and its people, This is a criminal act。you will be Prosecuted。 It is not a secret. Huawei has received a lot of loans and credits from banks controlled by the RPC. It is a big thing, considering that China controls the credits and usually filters and limits it. However, it is different of what the Whitehouse is claiming that Huawei is backed by the People Liberation Army but for a dictatorship country, it's practically the same. Oh so do you mean like all the kickbacks tax breaks and cheap labor (in China) that American companies like Google, Facebook and others get (while dodging taxes in other countries they set up their "shell" offices)? Oh okay.1 point -

You make a bold claim that it's always Dems, Id ask you to back it up but you wont. Maybe you should ask yourself what happened when Trump who made the claim that Clinton got millions of extra votes that were illegal, had a team put together to prove it and ended up being disbanded cause they couldn't find ANY evidence of voter fraud claimed by Trump. It's like many of Trump's claims, they always fizzle out into nothing. Or ask yourself why Trump is scared of mail-in ballots but he and many in his admin use just that. It's just another case of Trump saying "it's ok for me, not for thee". Also don't get cocky on Trump winning a second term, that's the same attitude many Clinton supporters had and look how that turned out. Add the fact that Trump is clearly worried about his poll numbers as they are dog ###### right now for him. And before you say "we don't believe in poll numbers", remember, you don't have to but Trump sure does and that matters more than you own personal view of them. And right now, Biden is well ahead of Trump, even with the margin for error. The rest of your post is tin foil hat garbage.1 point -

So how many times is Nintendo going to try and sell the same games over and over again? At least if they remastered them then I could understand but there isn't any of that. If Nintendo had any morals, they would have the game purchase tied to your account so when they release a new console and the same game is on that platform, you get it free as it's tied to the account. Nintendo makes it easy for many to justify piracy, especially for a game that old.1 point -

If given the option between the US or China spying on me, I will pick the US every time. France and the US have been allies for a very long time. It's unlikely the US will deliberately sabotage their economic and critical infrastructure even if they have backdoors to the equipment. That can't be said for China, given how aggressive and hostile they have been to the west. China is so hostile that over the last 20 years they have lied to the world and illegally invaded multiple countries and well over a million people are dead and millions more have no prospect of a future because their countries have been obliterated and because of the lies to by the Chinese communist party... oh wait, no, that was the US!1 point -

Zuckerberg hopes to spur four million new voters to register for the upcoming elections
mudslag reacted to +Dick Montage for a topic
I think our democracy over here is just too easily manipulated. The core idea is fine, but the extra rules and processes thrown around it by those who it would serve are the problem. May many elections in how many years, on what is meant to be a 4-year cycle - it became a bad joke. When you get more people voting for the person that loses than for the person who won, then there is a problem and that is the problem with the U.K as well with our out of date First past the post system. US has almost 5 times the population as the UK. Electoral College makes sense. If it did not exist, huge cities could dictate how the entire country is run. Why should a bunch of brainwashed students from California that never saw a real cow in their lives have more power than farmers in Texas or Iowa? I feel the use of such stereotypes undermines any real argument. Does it really? Alright, second take. Why should California have more voting power than Arizona? Yes it really does. Why should California have more voting power than Arizona? Why should a Californian's vote matter less than an Arizonan's?1 point -
Zuckerberg hopes to spur four million new voters to register for the upcoming elections
mudslag reacted to +Dick Montage for a topic
Unfortunately, for some reason, it is racist to require an ID to vote in the US... a system that works anywhere else. In my country I can only vote in the district where I live. If I want to vote somewhere else, I need to tell that to the government. I also need to provide my ID, they cross that I was there so nobody can go there and impersonate me. Seeing as you say "for some reason"; do you actually care to understand the argument as to why the use of ID to vote within the US is seen as problematic? Do you care to understand why systems that work in other countries with different social issues don't always apply to every country?1 point -
