Halo 3 PC review: Treat yourself to this terrific port
Brony reacted to Geezy for a topic
My Xbox RRoD's with this game when I got halfway through. I couldn't back up my save, got a new one. RRoD again when I was almost at the end. Finally finished the game on the next 360 I got. I don't think I could play this again. After Reach I think I was done with the series, it started to feel generic to me. When it originally came out you just didn't see the set pieces it had anywhere else, probably due to the power of the original Xbox. But by the time Reach came out lots of games had huge set pieces, reviews practically pointed out how many big ones were in each game. Even Halo 3 felt kind of generic to me by then. It didn't feel like a step up from Halo 2, it was Halo 2.5. I didn't think it showed off the power of the 360. What made Halo feel special to others around the this time was the multiplayer, but I hadn't been interested in that after Halo 2 so I fell off. I wonder if the next Halo recaptures my attention.1 point -

Geoff Keighley to show off DualSense controller with the PS5 hands-on tomorrow
+DonC reacted to Xerxes for a topic
For a controller that its primary feature is the new haptic motors, not sure watching a video of a guy telling you how it feels will really do it any justice. Sure he might say it's game changing and feels like nothing else....but what does that even mean? just be marketing fluff. I reserve judgement to when I finally get to play with it myself (on either my own PS5 or a demo unit/whatever).1 point -
Google could roll out Nearby Share for Android 6.0+ devices in August
Slackerr reacted to RejZoR for a topic
And Google seriously believes any vendor will give a damn about phones that were left on Android 6 ? LMAO. They can't be bothered to update latest Android versions and they think they'll do anything with 4 generations old Android. Just shows how utterly disconnected Google is from its own ecosystem they've created...1 point -
Just bought a new laptop - Is this normal to be charging like this?
Mindovermaster reacted to Jim K for a topic
Might be a setting in the MSI Dragon Center ... looking at this review of that notebook: https://www.anandtech.com/show/14612/the-msi-ge75-raider-laptop-review/6 "MSI also interestingly adds in some additional choices in terms of charging. You can adjust the battery charge settings in the Dragon Center Software which allows you to choose how to keep the battery level. If you are someone who does use the laptop on the go from time to time, you can set it to mobility, or you can set the battery to be charged to a lower level which should prolong the life. It’s a nice option for a system where outright mobility is certainly a secondary consideration" I wouldn't worry about it. 🙂1 point -

Jazmac reacted to Tuskd for a topic
I know many people who are lined up to get a OnePlus Nord. I think this is the perfect time to market mid-range phones. Show them your flagships, announce their exorbitant prices, then show them your "affordable flagship" at half the price. Profit. So many people will fall for it. Especially in such times.1 point -

Making the stand part of the computer body is not a good idea. It assumes people want to stand their device and if you don't its a waste. The stand belongs in the cover. Including the stand in the body makes the device not a default tablet, Surface tablet computer things are not real tablets, most people use it as a laptop so the stand built in makes sense here.1 point -

In this case, the whole economy is going bananas 🍌 and the economists are claiming that it will only suffer a 5-15%. What a f* joke.1 point -

The Xbox Series X will not support games that require Kinect
jasondefaoite reacted to dipsylalapo for a topic
I still argue that it was ahead of it's time. Like with the launch of the Xbox One, the Kinect was a marketing nightmare from the point of view of MS. They couldn't put a foot right with it. I also remember there was a big privacy concern when it first launched too, always listening?!? We can't have that. Yet 4 years later when the Echo Dot launched....1 point -

Windows File Recovery is a new app by Microsoft that helps recover deleted data
Chaos at Dawn reacted to Fleet Command for a topic
I would say probably not. "Supports NTFS, FAT, exFAT and ReFS file systems." iOS uses APFS (or HFS+ on older devices) right? That's not the problem. iPhone does not expose raw access to the underlying storage. It exposes a shell object only. (This PC→Apple iPhone→Internal Storage) All interactions with the iPhone are restricted to permissible shell-supported interactions.1 point -
