Huh? It's part of the pacakage, not like the user isn't aware what he is getting. Teams isn't included in all the Microsoft/Office 365 plans. https://www.microsoft.com/en-u...osoft-365-business-products Heck there's one package that doesn't include any Office programs. This isn't from the Windows 9.x/ME era that had Media Player /Internet Exporer bundled (which Windows still includes them! lol). The user IS aware of what he is getting/paying. Cry me a river! How to stop Windows 10 update ?
goretsky and 3 others reacted to warrenrumak for a topic
Windows Updates requiring a reboot should happen once a month, not twice a week. Something is wrong with your system. These suggestions you're getting for disabling Windows Update entirely are not the right solution, however. That'd be like fixing a leaky shower head by never taking a shower again. Disabling Windows Update means you also don't get the latest updates for Defender. Microsoft has a web page here with instructions on how to completely reset Windows Update: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-resources You can use Event Viewer to see what Windows Update is doing. The events are in the "System" log: You'll want to filter the list down to just WindowsUpdateClient, using the "Filter Current Log" button on the right.4 points -

"Every single person is potentially bad, unless they're christian." Can't you see how utterly arrogant and insulting that view is?! I suppose all japanese are bad/evil people too. It does say that streaming is a use case in the article. As for the dual battery, it's a somewhat common approach for super fast charging. Most batteries can't handle that much current going into them, so to achieve something like 90W charging, you need to have two batteries, each taking 45W. OPPO has a similar approach with the 65W charging on the Find X2 Pro.3 points -

Teams was built as a replacement for Lync so I don't think this has any base. The fact that Teams was better enough for a lot of companies to switch is another story. And businesses can still license Office 365 that does not include Teams or can chose to not install or activate Teams.2 points -

Also pricing, as soon as you want anything more than basic Teams functions like SSO or AD integrations then that means 2x the price, and for that money, you get whole Office365 suite. So, why the hell would anyone want to go with slack? I can actually answer that question my self based on experience.. since Devs like to build their little nests(small integrations) into slack it's later pretty much impossible to get rid of it So then we end up paying for something that we need (Office suite) and overpriced slack.2 points -

I prefer Teams over Slack. The reason is quite simple, Slack's privacy features (or rather lack of them) is horrible. Any "manager" in Slack can easily monitor anyones conversations. Slack privacy features and monitoring is simply made for the US market, not for the European market where privacy and employee rights are far better for the employee. Teams is much, much better in that regard. On Slack I would keep my conversations 100% professional since anyone with the manager role can snoop without the user ever knowing about it, but in Teams, this is not so easy to abuse.2 points -

Can't replace Laptop's RAM?

OMGGGGG!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! My spirit went back up!!! You nailed it!! That was it!! You HP Crimson monster 👹👿👺! It's my first time handling an HP device. It seems that all of the HP laptops are very cumbersome to open (HP WHY?!). You need to remove the rubber pads and then use a pry opening tool to open the freaking laptop! (I hate those because you have to be highly skilled not to screw the chasis, which, of course, I end up messing up a new computer). But to my surprise, the computer has 2 Memory Slots!, so I left the 4GB there and slapped the additional 8GB that I got (and now everything is working 🎉🎉🎉🎉) Dude, you really saved me 👍. Not even HP itself was able to pinpoint me in the right direction! This laptop is for a friend who has little money and entrusted me to get a decent machine. After seeing this at $264 I knew I couldn't be wrong. But when I saw that I couldn't open it... I felt disappointed as 4GB is a dead shot as Google Chrome hogs your RAM pretty easily. But oh boy Take a look at that 😊. Even the SSD is replaceable (NVMe)! I now know this lappy is going to withstand the test of time for at least a couple of years (Light tasks!).2 points -

+hedleigh and one other reacted to WinMacLin Guy for a topic
1. The death rate in all of Japan has been around 4.5% and it disproportionately effects the elderly. 2. A big reason why the overall spread, especially in dense areas like Tokyo has been kept fairly under control is due to the state of emergency imposed on April 7th and lifted on May 25th, which helped contain the virus at a time when active cases and deaths were increasing at a rapid pace. The restrictions helped the healthcare system cope. And Japan has not ruled out doing a similar thing again in Tokyo if the rate of new cases continues to increase. I really don't understand how people have politicized a pandemic and basic things to mitigate it like wearing a mask and social distancing. No the media giving you some basic information about the state of the pandemic and what you can do to keep yourself and others safe is not akin to some leftist takeover that some people are making it out to be. The reason why most people (thankfully) are heeding the advice is because they want to do their part to reduce the chances of getting their friends/family, their community (especially those most vulnerable like the elderly and people who are immunocompromised), and themselves sick.2 points -
How to stop Windows 10 update ?
+Dick Montage reacted to Nick H. for a topic
I've got to disagree with this. Just because we are providing advice or a service free of charge doesn't mean that we should be providing a sub-par service. I think of it this way: I am advising someone what to do in order to protect myself as much as them. If their system becomes compromised, it has the potential to compromise other systems. Also, I'm not only thinking about this one person asking for advice. What about the other people who go to Google with a similar question and get directed to this thread? I would always provide someone with the best advice, even if it is something that they don't want to hear. If they want to wreck their system then so be it, but I won't have a part in it. How did you not intentionally use the typo, "steaks"?! It was right there!1 point -
