  1. Microsoft publishes the release schedule for its Edge browser

Actually they have been pretty consistent and sometimes even ahead of schedule when it comes to chromium edge

  2. IMO the alternative of having settings strewn across Control Panel (which is outdated and aged AF) and Settings is far worse. I do not agree with your sentiment, bring on the death of Control Panel.

  3. Intel is already delaying its 7nm processors

Intel can say whatever they want. They aren't physically producing anything 7nm. It doesn't matter how good it looks on paper.

  4. I think MS is taking a mix of Destiny and what they've been doing with Sea of Thieves and bringing that to Halo. I'm all for getting constant story updates over time, that's nothing exactly new anyways. You'd have expansions since before the internet big, actually had to go buy a disc and install it.

  5. Halo Infinite will be a platform that grows over time, no sequels planned

Video game as a platform, eh? This is a new language but the themes and motifs behind it are very familiar. It appears Halo Infinite intends to become, not a work of art called "video game", but a source of income that thrives on addicts who would continue to pay for new content. They will eventually see the futility of playing it when they realize that they were playing to end a conflict that is never-ending. But by then, Chris Lee has become a very rich man. There is a name for all of this too: Mobile games.

Because... Halo looks like Halo? exactly, it looks like halo from previous gen that's all you got? Halo Infinite is actually hits back to its roots! You won't understand. Keep crying as "industrial flop" as we grow our ecosystem with the mighty game pass. Again. You have no idea!

The future? You might be seeing RISC-V supplanting ARM sooner than you'd think. ARM is a clear threat now, but I would hardly call it the future.

  12. First time in my life, I purchased an iPhone!

For the first time in my life, not only have I purchased a brand new phone, I purchased an iPhone. The phone I decided on is the iPhone SE 2020 128gb. I went the route of the iPhone mainly for the 5+ years of support and security updates the phone will most likely receive. It has a smaller battery than the others, but I don't do a lot on my phone. I make phone calls, check Facebook here and there, send a text message or two and instant message with telegram or messenger. I hardly live on my phone. Give a desktop or laptop anyway of the week. The Small form factor sounded appealing, plus it's got the same CPU as the iPhone 11 (be it slightly underclocked). Wireless Charging will be nice too. I think another thing iOS does better than android, at least in my experience is timely notifications. Starting with Doze on Android, timely notifications in some apps has gotten really bad, even when I told android not to optimize X app for battery saving. In android you'd get the notification 30 mins after the fact... or X number of minutes after the fact, after turning your screen on. It's got the same camera as the iPhone 8 but I'm really impressed how you get better images from the same camera the 8 has sheerly by the image processing of the A13 Bionic chip. Included is a sample of the Front facing camera. So, let's see how it goes. waiting for the case to arrive before it gets full use. The last Android phone I had was Essentials Phone running LIneageOS 17.1. Then I purchased an iPhone 6 Plus for $20 to and put a new battery in it. I wanted to spend $20 and get a feel for and iPhone to see if I like it, instead of spending $450 and finding out I don't like it. So I used the iPhone for 1 week and I was ok with it. Once again I really do like the timely notifications. The rest of the phones i've had LG v20, Galaxy S7, LG g3, Galaxy S3 and before that it was an HTC incredible 2. All phone listed above, including the essentials phone have all been from eBay This is a sample of the front facing camera. As far as my case goes, i'm going with the same kind of case I got for my Iphone 6 Plus. It's a GREAT case, feels great in the hand AND has a built in screen protector that snaps in on top. iPhone 6 plus https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MOOFHQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 iPhone SE 2020 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0876VFSBK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

  13. Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 19042.421 with a ton of new features

i think it'll still be 3-4 years till the entire Windows legacy UI elements/programs are completely replaced with the 'Fluent' design, but then MS would've probably started migrating to a newer design. (i think i recall even windows 10 earlier builds had some XP-ish era design elements left).

  19. Intel is already delaying its 7nm processors

Their 7nm node is a beast, 2x denser than their 10nm node, and denser than TSMC's 5nm node. A 6 month to 2 year delay is fair given how ambitious Intel is.

The game will have a simultaneous release on PC and Xbox Series X. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will also enter Xbox Game Pass on console on day one. https://www.stalker2.com/

Just because it's electronic, it doesn't make it not real. You should worry about all the money in your bank account if you think electronic money isn't real (actually, I'd worry about my money in my bank more than crypto because I have absolute control over my cryptos but not money in my bank)

  27. maybe they'll throw in a Fortnight like strategy where they update the graphics/core/performance over time too. It's another good way to keep a game feeling new IMO Well they already said the XSX version will get a gfx update after release. People harping on it's looks, I've seen posts saying it's a older build, could be true, and also that this is probably what the Xbox One version will more or less look like, there's no ray tracing in the demo for example. yes but that was known to be coming anyway. I'm talking future enhancements like switching to a new graphics engine when viable like Fortnight has done a few times. They could easily do per-platform releases for that which could really make the game visually differentiate itself from the X1 version over time. I expect that at some point, probably going into late 2021, if there's a big size update on the way, they'll lay the ground work for dropping X1 support. idk about that. My opinion could change depending on if the rumors about the Series S are true but if they're not then I can see MS keeping X1 support indefinitely just disabling bells and whistles in games that that X1 can't support. Since they're both x86 now it's no different than PC support (minus the manual configuration); the devs would just need to code for various graphics levels/scaling. If they want Halo Infinite to be like Destiny and keep it on X1 for a long time then yeah, just turn off the extra gfx like on a low end PC gamer would do, no big deal. But there's a number of exclusives coming later that are not going to support the X1, like the new Fable and a few others. So while they could keep X1 support for this game going without much fuss, we'll see what the user numbers say, if they have enough players on the new Series S/X hardware and like a fraction on older X1, I could see them dropping it. I wonder if the games that won't be supporting X1 are going to be HUGE open world setups that the X1 memory just wouldn't be able to handle. Looks like it so far, 2 of the big ones are both RPGs.

  29. Absolutely pathetic. Now just think, the "little guy" or "average Joe" could be made out to say anything and it would be his/her word against Twitter, the FBI, NSA, etc. that he/she did not say whatever. Granted, we know all of that can happen with these various agencies anyway. But, in this case, a Twitter employee could really screw you over. Very troublesome.

  32. Twitter hack could have been aided by more than 1,000 employees

If they focused more providing a secure and enjoyable platform by not only limiting the number of people that have God Mode access, which if it's in the 1000s, should be under key logging an video surveillance 24/7, but also focusing more holding users accountable for policing the content they read, see, hear and shows up on their timeline. Why have a mute or block button at all? Liberalism has infected so much of our media. It's festered into this whiny, petulant, "He said mean words ban him!" culture that they no longer have any concept of personal responsibility. Instead of banning and suspending accounts, the crybaby that reports should receive and email that says "Grow up and use the block button. " The person getting blocked should receive a message stating that their content was block form this user and replying to them any more is in act in futility. Simple. Done. Doing this would allow them to focus more on a secure, quality platform for *EVERYONE* (except the actual terrorist accounts they refused to ban because their free speech is more important than ours) to enjoy. Hopefully Jack will bring his A game to his new hearing at the senate and finally admit his bias, which ultimately leads to these types of attacks.

But I have to admit i might be one of the few that actually like YT music. i like the My Mix "Endless personalized music" feature that plays all your likes an even adds in other music based off your likes. Just non-stop continuous music. No stopping and having to switch playlists to find more you might like. I'm not a fan of these short "curated" music lists most of the time. Searching music in Spotify is really bad.

  40. You are only forced to upgrade after support for the version you are running ends. Until that happens, it's extremely easy, to prevent the installation of a feature update on any edition of Windows. Apple forces your iOS devices to upgrade to the current version. Why exactly does Apple get a pass on their devices?
