  1. He answered it without directly answering it, I don't even know why this is still a question at this point. PS fans need to just deal with it, future games are going to be exclusive, if not all, then the big name AAA titles will be. You don't spend that money to also help your competition out. And I'm tired of the minecraft comparisons, that game never was and will never be, a system seller. It's actually seen as a different thing, heck they even have it in education iirc. No one should be surprised if Deathloop and Tokyo Ghost Wire are the last ZeniMax games they see on PS. It is what it is, this is business, even if some fans want to make it personal. How is it Ok for Sony to go all in on exclusive deals with 3rd parties for example but MS has to, for whatever reason, also put it's games on PS? At least one place you'll never see these IPs on for sure is Stadia and Amazons new Luna services, I think we can all agree on that.

  4. As a PC gamer, I'm happy that Sony gamers are getting a dose of their own medicine, after all, how many times do their fanboys go on and on about the importance of exclusives? Now Microsoft is doing the same back at them and this is likely the beginning because Microsoft have already said they are looking to buy other studios and as we know, Microsoft have much deeper pockets than Sony does. This could be costly for Sony if Microsoft keeps nabbing up key exclusive games but in all honesty, Sony had this coming with it's aggressive tactics on exclusives so they are getting what they deserve here.

  6. When people think of all the potential business that is lost if MS decides to makes the games exclusive to Xbox/PC, they are falsely looking at PS4 numbers. That you have a loss of 100 million gamers. But this is a new generation. Unless your business model is to target development for old consoles, there are no PS5 owners just like there are no Xbox Series X/S owners. Sure, a lot of PS4 owners will buy a PS5 but that will take time. And not every PS4 owner will get the PS5. This was the false logic that the arrogant MS had with the 360. Why are you devoting resources to building up the PS5 base? Why are you paying Sony the 30% cut and the developer fees to build up the PS5 base? Why are you taking away resources from building your own platform? Have you as a company adopted learned helplessness? If you look at Sony's decisions, Sony is making PS4 versions of PS5 games because they know the PS5 base is starting at zero and they need to make money. Why make only PS5 games when you have 100 million PS4 consoles out there? This is the reason why Xbox said they will continue to develop Xbox One games for 2 years. And why Sony is implicitly doing roughly the same thing. Because while you wait for your new console bases to grow, you need to be making profit off game sales. For Microsoft to support Playstation gamers, it's just too many time, resources, and money devoted to building someone else's platform. And Jeffrey Grubb made an argument that I didn't see. That $7.5 billion had been sitting in a bank, making interest as the ROI. By buying Bethesda, you are making the bet that Bethesda will generate more money than the interest you would have earned if you didn't spend the money. If you think that Bethesda can't make more money than the interest they would've earned, then that is why a company like Microsoft rakes in billions while you don't. Microsoft has a far bigger view of where the world of gaming is going than most people give them credit. This isn't Don Mattrick's Xbox. If it was merely Microsoft versus Sony, think about the fact that Microsoft has enough CASH ON HAND to outright buy Sony and shut it down. But they aren't petty like that. They're not trying to buy up exclusivities like Sony is just to shut out their competitor. It came out that Sony was trying to buy exclusive access to Starfield before Microsoft bought Bethesda. There is no moral argument that Sony or its fans can make in Sony's or Microsoft's behavior. Sony does its business to prop up its platform. They are trying to keep their walled garden. Meanwhile, Microsoft is trying to put its platform everywhere whether you game on an Xbox console, a PC, Android, iOS, etc. Sony fans used to try to make the argument that you might as well buy a Playstation and a PC to cover gaming and didn't need an Xbox. Well, Sony fans, better rev up that PC of yours.

Because in America, the minions mostly think you HAVE to buy your phone from the carrier, and, they THINK they are getting a "deal" if they buy one from a carrier for 200-300 dollars, stretched out over a couple years, even though they pay through the nose with this fee or that tax, then, in a year, they give it back and get a new one and on and on. It's not a contract, but it is a contract.

It doesn't really matter to me because I'm getting a PS5. Hypothetically if I were to get an Xbox Series One, which I'm not, and am into shooters, which I'm not, and get Halo Infinite, which I'm not, it should be fine to me as long as they don't charge the full price upfront.

Welp, that settles it, I've been on the fence on changing my Xbox Live Gold into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, with them purchasing Bethesda I was getting close, but now, with one set of titles my mind is set.(End of Oct of course). I loved all the old LucasArts adventure games, hopefully I don't remember too much of them when I play them again, I had never played Grim Fandango though so I am looking forward to playing that for the first time.

  15. And? For Microsoft it does not matter where you use Xbox Live, just that you use it. Exactly, Microsoft wins out in any event, it's mainly Sony that is losing out here and that was the entire intention of Microsoft doing this.

  16. Agreed with most of your comment except this part: "If it was merely Microsoft versus Sony, think about the fact that Microsoft has enough CASH ON HAND to outright buy Sony and shut it down. But they aren't petty like that." Not buying Sony isn't because of Microsoft not being petty, it's because of two reasons: 1) Sony is not up for sale, their console business has been very profitable. You can't buy a company that's not willing to sell itself. 2) It would outright be blocked by regulators because of the anti-competitive nature of a deal like this. Microsoft would be slapped by antitrust fines left and right. you can, of course, buy a publicly traded company that doesn't want to be sold. happens all the time. Yes, it would be blocked by regulators.

  17. Buying on a budget: Which smartphone feature matters the most?

Battery is paramount for me. I need to be able to rely on about 24 hours of battery life with normal usage (which for me would be writing messages, checking emails and browsing the net). I also need to be able to plug it in when I go to bed and have the battery at 100% in the morning. I don't think either is a big ask. Support from the company would be next. I don't expect limitless support, but I also don't want a device that will remain the same as when I bought it. By this I mean I want security updates, and I want the ability to upgrade the OS to the latest version where possible. A decent screen size would be next, for those few times I have a video call with the family or those times where I want to watch a Youtube video. Strangely the camera doesn't factor into this anymore, since even the sub-par cameras are decent enough for me to have a call. Finally, a good array of apps for the device. I don't need flashy games, but I don't want to open the app store and find that it is completely empty. I think that's everything. The price of the device has never really concerned me. Not because I have a lot of cash to throw around, but because I get a device maybe every 2 or 3 years. If the device covers the above points I would put down 1000CHF for it knowing it would see me through to the next purchase.

It's not a contract, but it is a contract. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 and have no reason to upgrade my phone is completely pain off and paid for I did monthly payments then I paid my phone off not everybody not everybody needs a new phone every year and even so there is things in place at T-Mobile that if someone wants a new phone every 6 months or a year they have an upgrade option plan you can be into for those people that do want that and buying a phone from a Carrier is Almost no different than buying the phone from the manufacturer the biggest difference however it is monthly payments without worrying about your credit and having to finance so the fact is it almost no different And my phone is unlocked. It used to be that when you would sign up with a Carrier such as T-Mobile or Verizon wireless or AT&T you would get To choose a free phone or you would have to pay outright for whatever phone you want it and then you would sign a 2 year contract on On the Carrier itself so you were locked to that Carrier for those 2 years now it is just the phone if you don't buy an outright but you end up doing the Monthly payments of the phone you are only in locked into a contract for 24 months on that phone so at any time you can go to another Carrier but then you are responsible must still pay off that phone Or you can just get a phone you can afford. I mean, carrier contracts are pretty much loans. If you can't afford a phone, don't buy that phone. But I dunno, that is just my European perspective.

  23. I think I've already mentioned it, but it will be a shame if they don't release on the Playstation. No more Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Doom, and probably several others that I really enjoy playing. Unfortunately it won't persuade me to get an XBox. I have nothing against the console, but I've only bought one console each generation and I think I'm now too invested in the Playstation ecosystem.

Ahem. You see, the TRUTH is that the overwhelming majority of "liberals" support non-violent protests, which represents 99% of what happened this summer. Crooks and kooks (non-partisan) took advantage of those protests, as they always do. I don't support crooks, kooks, or violent protesters of ANY political affiliation. Horsefeathers. Just because there are government assisted programs doesn't make the country socialist. The programs are still paid for by corporate taxes and taxes on working citizens. ... The articles describe the proper definitions so you don't come off as saying something uninformed. I suggest you actually read them. For example, in the actual "socialist" European nations, their corporate and worker taxes pay for their "socialist" programs too. The only actual difference is that their programs are more comprehensive, help everybody, AND cost much less that we are paying for worse service, outcomes, and quality. And, yes, that covers your nonsense corporatist defense of the American "profitcare" business model. https://news.harvard.edu/gazet...population-health-outcomes/ "The study confirmed that the U.S. has substantially higher spending, worse population health outcomes, and worse access to care than other wealthy countries."

  29. Same with Xbox xCloud, except you don't have to buy the game a second time just for online streaming, and can take your local/digital copy to any Xbox and play locally. And if it is a MS Cross play title, users can even play the game on their PC without buying and additional license. I like what Google is pushing here, as this technology needs competitors and wide adoption and optimization technologies. However, I just do not get their model on Stadia only game purchases and licensing, and they are making a mistake. They instead should find a partner to create a cross license for local PC or Consoler title purchases. xCloud is currently ONLY and android phones. That's a pass for me as I don't like gaming on a small screen like that. Also Stadia is any hardware with Chrome browser, not just android phones, and xboxes. With Stadia you only have to buy the game, not new hardware.

  31. Science fantasy like that socialism is beneficial? That the Green New Deal will work? Or that it's been righties that have been rioting and burning down cities? Oh wait... It least the protesters are doing something what has the right done lately other than lie pretty much about everything and the information from the CDC/W.H.O. regarding COVID. If you don't want people to burn buildings or loot than Trump should say something oh and not on Twitter. Funny when protesters take aggressive action to get heard all you get is complains from the right instead of listening. Aggressive action? Stealing? Murdering? Burning? It's a temper tantrum. Not a protest. You don't listen to a screaming child.

Science fantasy like that socialism is beneficial? That the Green New Deal will work? Or that it's been righties that have been rioting and burning down cities? Oh wait... Truth based on facts as supported by evidence. Some socialist systems are OBVIOUSLY and demonstrably (aka proven with science!) beneficial for everyone, even the selfish greedy 1% with a lack of empathy. In the USA, we have Social Security and Medicare for seniors, a federally mandated minimum wage and child labor laws, and minimal unemployment benefits. We also require employers to meet minimum standards that an unregulated "free market" wouldn't mandate...because people DIE otherwise. https://www.dailykos.com/stori...ialism-Has-Improved-America In actually civilized nations, they have extended healthcare to all citizens, making it a right, not an obscenely purely for profit driven exploitation of every American...at the cost of tens of thousands of American lives every year. https://news.harvard.edu/gazet...to-lack-of-health-coverage/ So, if you don't like actual "socialism", you're living in the wrong country, mate. :) Perhaps you mistakenly meant "communism", where hippies get stoned and share everything in communes? No, that can't be it. Perhaps you meant the false rightwing fearmongering definition of "socialism" which tries to pretend that autocrats and dictators are actually "communist", when the truth is that they are just totalitarian oligarchs who used populist rhetoric to con the ignorant, gullible, cowardly, and vulnerable among us? You know, the men Trump admires, befriends, follows, and tries to emulate on a daily basis... Meanwhile, it doesn't seem like a bad idea to the overwhelming majority of Americans that we raise the minimum wage back to where it should have been with COLA/inflation accounted for over the past 50 years, or save trillions while covering every American by extending Medicare to cover everyone, or one day even to consider extending benefits like Social Security/unemployment to everyone in the impending age of AI automation -- which will soon make virtually all human labor obsolete in the foreseeable future. But, that's just me. I actually care about the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for all Americans far more than those Qanon cowards and fools on FB/YT give a damn about any of the rest of us...

Well you need A 5G enable device Anyways to be able to have 5G So I don't think that really manners that there's no 5G Pre paid yet for T-Mobile I am sure it's on its way There have been 5G devices out for quite awhile, long before the iPhone. If someone is purchasing a 5G device and hope to just use their existing pre-paid plan, they'll probably be in for a disappointment, or assume there isn't 5G coverage yet. I never buy my phones from a carrier. I just pop my SIM in and go. I'd imagine a lot of people do.
