  6. Media Player Classic - Home Cinema 1.9.8

Oh man this great thing is now improving again after I switched to MPC-BE and although I find MPC-BE superior, some of the changes in this are really nice. I wish the developers of both would co-operate and merge it into one project.

  7. Jazz Jackrabbit. I'd be crazy just for a friggin' remake of 1 and 2 on the current consoles, but Epic only wants to milk that Fortnite cow.

  8. Max Payne 2: Poignant ending where Max faces the hard truth that in not letting go of the past, his life ultimately resulted in same tragedies happening over again. Coming to this realization, he is at peace with himself, and is finally ready to move on. End credits. Max Paye 3: "My family..." *sreen flickers* "...is DEAD" *screen flickers harder* "I'm drunk..." *more Rockstar 'cinematics'* I hate what Rockstar did to the character. Unless Remedy has a once in the lifetime idea for a new story, just let him rest. The games are still playable today, I'd rather revisit the old ones than get some Rockstar pig slop.

  9. System restore taking too long

System restore should be renamed "System that could be restored or not". My experience using it in the past have been let's just say lackluster at best (i've not been using it for a long time i turn it off) ... i agree with the poster above let it go and hope for the best but expect the worst. If you stop it in the middle you'll likely kill the os for good.

  12. Tesla to recall thousands of vehicles over suspension issue

Tesla has a long way to go before being competitive in its quality compared to other OEMs. In fact, they're probably going to be in a pretty lousy situation as other automakers embrace electric and hybrid propulsion with established, quality product lines. In addition to other auto makers properly testing self driving as opposed to dumping unsafe betas onto unsuspecting drivers in and out of Teslas on the roads. Tesla's interiors are spartan, cheap garbage for what you pay for as well. They basically pulled an Apple, where they revolutionized an entire industry, and now others have upped their game and are coming out with better, more exciting products. Looking forward to having fully electric powertrain for my day to day drives, and also able to fall back onto an ICE engine for longer trips when the juice runs out on the electric motor. In fact, for my next lease, next year, I'll be able to have this. 0-60 in about 6 seconds on hybrid ice/electric powertrain, 40 mile range on electric (my daily commute before covid was 21 miles), and then a 1.3L turbo the rest of the time. This is the method most other automakers are utilizing. Hybrid is the way to go, until a proper charging network is in place, and even then, it'll always be faster to fill a tank of gas as opposed to waiting 15-30 minutes for a 100 mile charge when traversing long distances. A road trip to Ohio to Florida is already long enough, when when you have to charge every 300 miles, it takes so much longer. They're a pretty terrible company all in all, both in business practices as well as general quality.

  13. Tesla to recall thousands of vehicles over suspension issue

Tesla's biggest problem is quality control. Once the other car makers catch up to the tech they are going to eat Tesla's breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  15. Battlefield - yeah its still being made but what is being made is horrible. BFV was a huge flop. BF1 was good but had they just made BFV with a remake of 1942 on the BF1 engine/setup they would have sold a million copies!

  17. Discuss: Which abandoned video game franchise do you wish would make a comeback?

Games either die a hero or live on as an ugly zombie. So, my answer is: None. Specifically, don't bring back the games that I so loved. Homeworld Remastered was an unmitigated fiasco.

  27. Hahaha, while I really liked Max Payne 3 because of the gameplay, your description about the cinematics made me lol. But yeah, I agree, they kinda went in a different direction with the third part in terms of story. Still like it for the gameplay and action sequences though! tbf I’m too hard on it because I like the first two so much, some of my favorite games. The gameplay is really good, and overall the game is good, I just think they went overboard with production over character development. Soundtrack is absolutely fantastic, the airport level with dynamically looping "Tears" track is up there with the best moments in the series.

  28. This. They gutted sensors too, along with squeeze to search. I hate losing little features like that. Checking through the comparisons, I'm surprised they're barely doing 4k@60fps video. I thought everyone had been doing that already because that was an Apple feature back when Google was launching the Pixel 2. Samsung followed up the following year so it's kinda jarring it took them this long. Every iPhone still sports a 60hertz screen in 2020 and you still pay a premium price. The screen is the must used feature of any phone.

  35. I would really love a mini version rather than an XL variant. Each to their own, but 70mm wide is possibly the maximum width for the average single hand operation, so I would love something around the 60mm mark! And I cannot see any practical uses of this mm wave rubbish. What scenario will we need to download at such speeds, while standing outside less than 50m line of sight of a receiver?! Marketing hype, and even apple are getting on board. Such stupid ads..

  36. Google withdraw itself from the market. AFTER China threatened to ban them if they didn't start censoring search results and open up their systems to the government to spy on their people. So what you mean is business do not need to adhere to the law of the country if they wish to do business there? Well done on completely and utterly missing the entire point. So what is the point? If you can't figure that out, I can't help you. Try thinking, it helps. The problem is you are raising 2 completely different points, one that the WTO is not raising issue with companies nows operating in china, then the other that chinese companies are monitoring data. Google isn't operating there because the chinese LAW, yes, LAW requires it to do things it doesn't want to do, therefore they are not operating there, the WTO does not say if laws are right or not, it just says if they're being adided by. Chinese apps or any apps by any company in any country that listen in on user data is a whole different issue if they do it where it isn't allowed, however in china legally (I'm not saying the law is good or should be there just that it is a law) it is a requirement for companies to do that.

  41. Unlike in the US, there are many countries where people actually prefer to fix their devices and extend their useful life and avoid waste whenever possible! Wtf. I am sure there are such people in US just as much that I am sure in your "so called" many countries, there are tons of people who don't. It is part of being human - some have more empathy then others for whatever reason.

this will follow the fate of the surface rt: v1 -too half-baked v2 -still somewhat half-baked v3 - abandoned Lol what are you on about? v3 was when Surface finally picked up, and has been going strong since then. Surface Go 2 was literally just released earlier this year (since I'm guessing you're going to try to separate Surface and Surface Pro, and SG2 is from the original Surface line).

  50. How to control Google Assistant in Windows 10 using Snap Core First

We used to be able to do stuff like this, but people hated and were afraid of using Cortana. Now she had a lobotomy and does almost nothing. Good Job the Internet and Windows users. *slow clap* Also good Job Microsoft, once again leading on a technology, and killing it right before the world decides to embrace voice assistants and NUI on PC devices. Even VR/WMR that had huge benefits from voice interaction no longer works, in the year the technology is needed more than ever. /s (Get tired of seeing good ideas not even get basic support or kept alive, something that would take maybe 1 or 2 employees, and watch a huge company like Microsoft let users suffer into a nightmare of needing Google or Amazon BS that is far less functional and horrible in comparison.
