Can't you see how insane that view is?! Are you saying that anyone who is not a christian has no morals? Are you saying japanese, indians, arabs, korean, etc. all have no morals? That view of yours is no better than racism. Basically you think that christians have a moral high ground and all the others are lesser people. Having morals has zero to do with religion and everything to do with upbringing. You don't have to be taught about fantastical beings to be a good person.4 points -

"This is why religion should never be allowed to have a place in governments. It is inherently biased." But the problem with that is... it's not really possible to completely separate 'church and state' like some try to do since people in general have a moral foundation formed around something and for many, at least here in the USA, it's based around Christianity so that will be at the core of basic morals which will have have a effect on laws made. personally the way I see it... the further laws get away from Christian standards the worse things will tend to get. but as society gets more secularized and Christianity declines, society as a whole gets worse. it's just a natural consequence of humanity moving away from God as when someone moves away from God, sin tends to fill that void since when people tend to make up morality as they go along(like is more typical to those on the left), morality tends to decline little-by-little as the years/decades etc pass as morality is subjective to these kinds of people instead of being based around God's objective truth and natural law etc. The last paragraph in your answer makes my point I wrote earlier. Talking about moving away from 'christian standards' (others don't matter?), 'morality & sin' (whose definition of this?) etc. is why religion shouldn't mixed with day to day life.2 points -

New QUIET computer build.
Nick H. reacted to +Warwagon for a topic
Back in 2014 I purchased a bare bone Brix i7 4770R system as my couch computer. It's a cute looking thing. It runs all 4 of my computers monitors like a champ. When it's idle and not doing very much work he's very quiet, you can't even tell he's turned on. But when he is doing CPU intensive tasks, he's LOUD AS F**CK! I've been looking for something quieter. Last year at the "It's $5" store where on Saturday and Sunday's everything you find is $5, I found 2 brand new (or maybe returned) Core i5 7600 CPU's. Then I bought a motherboard for it and slapped 32GB of DDR ram in it, and then put my GTX 770 into it. Yes I know the card is old but I don't game THAT heavy and when I do it's only 1080p. Last week I did an encoding test between my leaf blower (Brix) and this other computer I built. The i5 7600 won the encoding test by a full 1.5 mins (Was not being helped by the GPU). So I thought, it can be my new couch computer. So I went and purchased a Scythe Mugen 5 Rev.B CPU Air Cooler, I wanted this this to be a quiet as humanly possible. I also purchased a Samsung (MZ-V7S1T0B/AM) 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB. (As Neobond mentioned on Facebook, it may have been wise to wait til black Friday .. oops) Got windows installed and did a prime95 load test to see how quiet I made the PC. SUCCESS!! In comparison this is what my Brix Pro sounds like running the exact same test.1 point -

T-Mobile introduces TVision, its subscription-based TV service
sharpdesigner reacted to PGHammer for a topic
This is a straight rebranding of a cable service (in fact, one that has been mentioned here on Neowin before - by me). Like all streaming services, you still need an Internet provider to use it; the bandwidth problem will therefore still be there (as it is with all streaming services). Fire and Prime Video are service-agnostic, as is Apple - and Google is headed in that direction (however, it isn't completely there yet)1 point -
Ubisoft partners with Netflix for Assassin's Creed live-action and animated adaptations
Brandon H reacted to George P for a topic
I haven't played the games (I've only done the start of W3 so far) so I'm obviously not a true game fan, but I thought the first series was decent enough. My question is, what did the readers of the books think about the games and the series? Did either do the books justice? The series is closer to the books than the games, the games are sequels to the books, timeline wise, and the games made their own share of changes from the books to begin with so game fans complaining about the show making changes to the source material need to sit down. The only issue book fans, sensible ones, have with the series is the choice of doing the 3 converging timelines, and the way Garelt and Ciri meet was changed and made less impactful, though I think that was all down to time and episode constraints. It's not like netflix gave them 24 eps, you work with what you're given.1 point -

United States DOJ sues Google for monopolistic practices

Yeah, they aren't being sued for success. They've entered into agreements with other companies to only use Google products. That locks out the competition. For instance, in the industry (Architectural Coatings) that I'm in, it's forbidden to approach my competitor and talk price or agree to sell our products at a certain price or any other agreement that would lock out smaller companies and or gouge consumers.1 point -
