are you sure? isn't making uber drivers employees more socialist because they'll get health insurance, and "other benefits"? uber don't want the drivers to be their employees. Can people stop bandying the word 'socialist' around when they mean 'decent'. A welfare system isn't 'socialist' it's a 'decent' thing to have for when people are at the lowest. A publicly funded healthcare system isn't 'socialist' it's the 'decent' thing to have for those who can't afford private health care costs. Jesus, when did we start aiming to have the worst societies possible?5 points -

That's what trips you? Their bigger mistake was thinking there is an election coming! We all know that a POTUS stays in the office for eight years, after which a POTUS from the opposing party takes the office. It's been like that since I was born. Trump still has 5 years of his term left. You must be pretty young then... there’s been plenty of one termers in the last 50 years. Not to mention the most recent one was only around 25 years ago.5 points -

Here's hoping for a landslide. It would be amazing if he took the popular vote this time too, by A LOT, like "He couldn't have cheated that much" a lot. Whether it will happen or not .. nobody knows. I gotta ask... I'm Canadian and have no horse in this race but I'm genuinely mind-boggled. I don't watch the news or interact with social media in any way, so accusations of brainwashing don't hold much merit. Why do you like this guy? He's very clearly one of the stupidest public speakers (let alone politicians) I've ever heard, he's done very little positive, most other countries laugh at him, he's constantly lying and breaking promises, your economy is in shambles, has done the worst job worldwide of controlling the pandemic, his stated opinions afford the standard person fewer freedoms, has let corporations run rampant on of normal citizens, and doesn't hold any standard Republican beliefs beyond letting companies do whatever they'd like to (none of which are good things)... what's the draw to Trump? I don't get it. Drop the snarky smear tactic stuff you're doing in the comments and genuinely let me know. I feel like I'm missing something.5 points -

whoever wins, America is broken and will remain broken. Rampant capitalism has destroyed the underclass, and the very people who benefited from it (billionaires) and the very people who have manipulated the underclass to go after their enemies. I feel sorry for the US, but it's a self-inflicted mess.4 points -

Jesus, when did we start aiming to have the worst societies possible? Be decent with your own money then. Don't force others to hand over huge percentages of their hard earned money. And societies are worse when government takes over everything. Yes, some people need help. Others just grift. Seems a lot of humans are lazy by nature. And the fact is Socialist governments are the largest murderers in planetary history. Care to provide an example? Basically every developed country except for the US has some sort of a universal healthcare system and they work just fine. Also, please stop labeling things as 'socialist' just because they're unclear and scary to an average conservative.2 points -

Our economy is not in shambles, actually it is doing pretty good. I am not sure who is laughing at him and really do not care what loser Countries are doing. The pandemic is equally present everywhere, Europe is the worst but those EU retards are hiding and are quite about it because those loser Countries would go bankrupt in no time if they have to close businesses. The only Country in Europe which has a strong economy is Germany, everyone are else are like f. leaches. I just hope all those factories are returned back to USA so next thing I buy I see made in USA. Unlike leftist who are bitching about last election for the past 4 years and I am sick of it, the other side if it loses won't be doing same talking for four years. As far you Canadians, most of you lost balls to feminists including your prime Minister. No hard feelings... @OldGuru -- Time to change your username to @OldGrumpyPants Besides the abject ignorance you're spraying (about Canadians and Europeans alike), the lack of substantive depth of your explanations to provide details to the questions posed... clearly exhibit why "Americans" (USA citizens, not those from all nations within the Americas) have such a ###### reputation for all things civil. As far you Canadians, most of you lost balls to feminists including your prime Minister. No hard feelings... None of the statements you made are measurable; they're vague and they're the same talking points I was hoping to avoid as they contain nothing real. "Balls" are not a thing. I was asking for specifics. Why do you think the economy is in good shape? What are you comparing it to? My comparison was between now and any time in America's past other than the great depression. You are not doing well. The normal household income is abysmal. The only ones doing well are the supremely rich and that's why the economy (if you only look at overall movement, and not individuals) looks fine. The super rich ARE moving large sums of money. How relevant is that to you? It's a manipulation by the large corporations that control your media both on the left and right wings. Don't just vaguely allude to things. I want to know actual factual reasons, not this religion of politics you have faith in.2 points -

Latest Microsoft Launcher preview removes Timeline
dustojnikhummer reacted to MS Bob 11 for a topic
Windows Timeline is great, should definitely not be removed but they could give it more customizable information-dense views besides the Thumbnail view. Also, it considers only files as activities, not previously running apps/closed earlier, so it's an incomplete listing of activities/tasks open earlier. As such it is only "Recent docs" arranged by date right now, in thumbnail view, not all previously running tasks.1 point -
Latest Microsoft Launcher preview removes Timeline
daniel_rh reacted to Mamoun for a topic
There are many new features in Windows 10 that are not heavily used in my opinion because they are so half baked it's not even funny, the people bar, the timeline feature, all have great potential but seriously limited execution. For me the timeline feature is rather random; some applications show up with their exact recently opened documents, some don't, the thumbnail view is terrible at just getting a clear list of recently opened applications and/or files...etc1 point -

What specific model? And just like with wifi routers - the numbers they put on the box are a lie Never would you get what they state on the box But there are benchmarks showing them getting way above your 100mbps internet speed.. If your goal is bandwidth.. And you have a concrete wall - your going to need a wire.. Best would be just plain old Ethernet.. But if you have any cable (coax) that runs between rooms - moca adapters are an option and you can get gig over those.. Or damn close, etc. I wouldn't recommend against the 2100 if your up for the price difference over the 1100.. But from a cost point of view and your low internet speed. The 1100 and a 40$ 8 port gig smart switch would prob be better option. If you have old wifi routers laying around - you can always leverage them as just AP with switch ports.. Any wifi router, any! Can just be used as AP by just turning off its dhcp server, and connecting it to your network via one of its lan ports - there you go AP..1 point -
