There are many new features in Windows 10 that are not heavily used in my opinion because they are so half baked it's not even funny, the people bar, the timeline feature, all have great potential but seriously limited execution. For me the timeline feature is rather random; some applications show up with their exact recently opened documents, some don't, the thumbnail view is terrible at just getting a clear list of recently opened applications and/or files...etc2 points -

this whole presidency is a scam lol If this presidency is a scam, then it is a darn good scam because my retirement is skyrocketing! Uh huh, sure. Uh huh, you probably don't even have a retirement package. My retirement was barely moving and lost some during the previous administration. If that's true, and if that's the only thing that matters to you, then yeah! Awesome! Bit of a shame about all those dead people... But woohoo retirement! What a rediculous statement to say. Of course, my retirement matters to me. What other people does is not a concern of mine since I cannot control what they do and think. My decision is solely mine, and it is the same for them. If they don't have a retirement plan, that's not my fault. In addition, I don't force my polical beliefs to anyone. I only stated that with this administration my retirement went up! It's ridiculous to concern yourself with a presidency that is allowing far too many people die being a greater concern than how much money is in a single persons retirement? I'm such a nasty person, what a nasty proposition. I'm so negative. Should we let him in on the secret that his retirement is doing better, since the economy is(well was) doing better? Upon which it goes on cycles of bad to good to bad to good and it just so happened it was recovering before Trump got into office and has continued (well did) to do so? Nah, let’s not get in the way of Trump worship. Holy ######. The guy just said his retirement was doing great under the current administration and somehow that turns him into Trump worshiper? I have no love for him but people can't even make a somewhat innocuous comment without being accused of zealotry now. Maybe, just maybe read the rest of what he said. I will help: "If this presidency is a scam, then it is a darn good scam because my retirement is skyrocketing!" Then he confirmed it later with more comments. I would have been much nicer to him had he not personally made jabs at me. I have no patience for people who skim and reply on that basis. Welcome to the long list of them here. So touchy. Take your meds and calm down lest the trumpers get you. “Lol look at this guy with feelings” he doesn’t even sound emotional but your response is just plain silly. Hundreds of thousands of deaths, due to an administration being clearly supported, because money. Like when should things get emotional in your mind? Millions? Billions? Or, would you still be there like the cool kid laughing at people caring? How ridiculous. So like, someone said the administration was a scam which was a comment that had nothing to do with the pandemic. And then he said "if it is a scam it's a good one because it's benefiting his retirement" or something along those lines which also had nothing to do with the pandemic. So sure, if you want to extrapolate ###### out as far as it will go then yeah we can make this about how Trump supporters don't care about all the deaths due to a pandemic and that it should be our only concern at this point in our lives. Let it run your life, I got better things to do. Clearly not, you keep replying.1 point -

Opinion and ideas for a new laptop for my son
JayZJay reacted to MS Bob 11 for a topic
Tiger Lake laptops with discrete GPUs and gaming CPUs will probably take time to arrive (Q1 2021) so in the meantime you have to settle for Comet Lake or Coffee Lake. Currently I have Lenovo Legion Y740 17 which is just AWESOME for me. There's also a Legion 7i that came after this (10th gen, Comet Lake) but they removed the touchpad buttons in it so it was a deal breaker for me. Lenovo does have a "Conservation Mode" setting in their Vantage app for always plugged in laptops to never charge battery beyond 55%-60% so it lasts for 5 years or more. Also the Legion's look is unlike other gaming laptops - if you turn off the RGB, it almost looks like a business laptop. Other OEMs also have this I think e.g. HP has HP Battery Health Manager, Dell has Dell Power Manager to set a limit on battery charge (as long as you have a fairly recent laptop bought in the last 3 years). I don't know if ASUS, Acer, Razer, MSI also have it. Legion Y740's lower end model is for $1369: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-y-series/Lenovo-Legion-Y740-17/p/88GMY701062 and the cooling system of this laptop and its successor is probably the best in the all laptops currently.1 point -

Google Stadia now lets you share games with your family group
dustojnikhummer reacted to trojan_market for a topic
I find this service not of any real value because you have to purchase games separately doesn’t matter how well it works it will NEVER work as great as a game running natively on your pc or console anyway. Also if you compare it to something like XCloud with game pass ultimate that’s a similar service and from what I read it works as well as stadia but the different thing is you don’t have to purchase games separately it’s a flat fee. That makes stadia inferior to Xbox xcloud also. Simple as that. Google should have known better I see your points, and they are fair. You do get a lot of free games with Stadia. It’s not for everyone, but for some that don’t have a crazy gaming PC or using MacOS or Linux, it’s a huge game changer. Playing in 4K HDR plays like butter. I have a very beefy gaming rig and I still have stadia for Games because it’s fun to just play anywhere and jump around. I know you can do that with parsec or moonlight, but with this, it just works. Again, it may not be for everyone, but I constantly see this service trashed all over the internet and it’s just from people who never tried it and get on the hate rain, just to be edgy I guess. If you want to play the games you already own, check our GeForce Now, it works really well also. I am not sure. if anyone can afford a Chromecast ultra 4K plus a decent controller and decent internet to enable the steaming (I heard you need a Broaaad band internet for Stadia), they can afford a $299 XBOX Series S beautiful console which lets you play offline with 4K HDR and you get Dolby Vision Audio as a bonus.1 point -

That makes stadia inferior to Xbox xcloud also. Simple as that. Google should have known better Amazon Luna is a lot like what you mention above that you might like when it launches. It's a lot like Xbox Game Pass, but to get the games you want you have to add publishers as extra monthly costs. I have Stadia running at 4k with no problem at all. It runs just as well as anything local for me. XCloud being only on Android makes it a no go for me. Purchasing games on Stadia to me is no different than purchasing them on Steam. With the benefit of not having to download, or patch anything. It's instant gaming. It's funny you are complaining about PC support for XCloud which is coming but you are recommending Luna which is not even out yet. I am not sure about something that haven't been out yet. At least we know games line up for XCloud which to be fair is quite a wide selection and from what I hear PC support is around the corner. Overall, I am not a fan of any of these service like I mentioned no matter how well they work they can never beat running the game natively on PC or Console. Also, What make Game Pass Ultimate unique is that it gives you a choice of playing game locally on PC or XBOX or using Cloud streaming all with flat fee. IMHO, thats the best approach anyway but to be fair only Microsoft can pull something like this off because they own PC, XBOX and Cloud. Amazon has the Cloud but not Game Studios. Google might have some game studio and cloud but not a platform (Noone buys Chromecast to play games). Biggest problem of Google is that I am not sure who is their target audience. Pro Gamers have PC. Regular gamers like me has Console or less powerful PC. and Casual gamers don't play those kinds of games. they play candy crush on mobile.1 point -
