It's hilarious that people think the media is in charge. While they've interfered and cause an unquantifiable amount of damage that will be reckoned with section 230, another time. For now, the electors have to certify this election. The courts play their role as well. There won't be a real winner until at least December 13th. The day Al Gore conceded to Bush. Not before he tried every single legal process in the book. This time, we have an American Supreme Court, millions of ballots harvested, "glitches" that seem to only favor democrats, and random dumps of votes showing up at 4am. I flipped a coin 138,000 times, it landed soon heads 100% of the time. Don't believe me? Talk to PA and GA. They'll show you how. The irony of all this will be we'll have an *actual* illegitimate President if Biden is in fact the winner. Then dies before year one, and this country is ######ed forever. Kamala will likely be unable to travel without full body armor 24/7. Oh yah.. forgot. Kinda strange RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA sat this election out. It's only when Trump wins I guess. Democrats are far more dangerous than Russia ever was or is.5 points -

So sick of repubs crying while calling everyone snowflakes at the same time. Just proves whom the real snowflakes are to be honest. Repubs, Writers Tears (the drink) should be rebranded as Republican Tears. And everyone suddenly forgets the last 4 years of the whole Russia fraud. Which one? The convictions? The specific conviction where the President was names as an "Unindicted co-conspirator" and couldn't be arrested while they were president? The national security advisor having serious foreign state conflicts of interest that were illegal, later to find out they were also working with Iran and Russia? Or the Muller report that listed 11 counts of the President's obstruction of justice and other crimes regarding Russia - while being denied the ability to follow any financial ties or leads? The Muller report specifically stating if he wasn't President, they would press charges? The Muller report specifically stating if the President was innocent or cleared they would say so, and they did not, but left the criminal charges in the hands of the DOJ because of the unclarity of the ability to indict a sitting president based on DOJ policy? The President's campaign staff, aids, cabinet members that total over a hundred people having direct contact with Russian known agents before and after the election? The president's top advisor caught seeing clandestine encrypted back channel communication with Russia by US security agencies while monitoring Russia spies before the president took office? Just off the top of my head, so you can see why it is ambiguous to just mention Russia without context. PS PLEASE FACT CHECK EVERYTHING I SAID. Everything I mentioned is a factual finding taken from several investigations and reports by the the Republican intelligence committee of the Senate. Stop watching Fox News, Stop reading crap like Drudge and Breitbart. Fox wins defamation lawsuits by arguing that what their people say is so inaccurate it would be crazy for anyone to put any value in what was said. Look it up. All of it. Because not everyone can drop $1000 every year on an iPhone You dont need a new phone every year if you go iPhone cause apple does something called software updates. You should look those up. Secondly, they have affordable options most people get their phones with 0-down on plans. If you have to finance a phone you can't afford a phone. And your "Don't need a new phone every year", by your logic we should all be driving 5-series because you can get a 30 year old one for the price of a new Polo2 points -

Get used to it! Trump 2020! No thanks. Then you are going to be severely disappointed. *ahem*. Counting isn't done yet. If Harris wins, of course, I will be angry, but at the end of the day, there is nothing at this point we can do apart from trying to prevent fraud, from both sides. The worst thing is that US going socialist will impact Europe and rest of the world as well Not that I fully understand the crazy U.s election system, but going from our News, it looks like Trump will be out, what is so sad about all of this is that so many people support the bloke, I thought it was bad enough that so many people here in the U.K support the Tories and Boris, but Trump as a human being is worse than Boris. From what I have heard about Biden, I am not sure if he is much better to be honest. so glad I do not live in the U.S, because I do not think I would bother to vote, it is difficult enough voting here with the shambles we get. So because you don't like Trump's personality (Neither do I honestly, sometimes he is a manchild) you want socialists to take over the US? You really want Harris to be a president? Who is Harris? i thought his name was Joe Biden and to be honest I really don't care who is President of the U.S, I don't live there, I just want Trump to lose and would love to see him being dragged out of the White House crying, but sadly I doubt that will happen Well, he is kinda doing it now, but at least now he still has some sort of right to do so, with very convenient "glitches" that benefit only a single side. I know he acts like a manchild on twitter a lot of times, but I think he will accept the result. I mean, he will have to. On the other hand, the media has been "Orange man bad" for the last 4 years. What is CNN going to do? They have been complaining about Trump for the past 4 years and now that he is (90% likely) gone, they might finally go as well. Btw, Harris is Biden's VP. Aka the person who will really become the president. I highly doubt Biden will make it through the 4 years. I mean look at him, at least Trump can talk properly, unlike Sleepy Joe. Myself i am glad it is now over, maybe our radio stations will remember that they are British and not U.S and the majority of people in the U.K don't want to hear every nook and cranny of an election in another country. Just tell us who have won at the end, that is it, most people here are not interested in our own elections. I do find it strange that a country the size of the size of the U.S. and those two are the best they can get, what the U.s need is someone younger, just like the U.K really. ah, yes, I heard about Harris, the first woman vice president, we had two women prime ministers , granted the last one was not voted in by the people as such, but the one before was, not sure if we would want another Maggie. So Biden is going to be like Boris here, made to look like they are running country, but someone else is pulling the strings, in our case it is someone called Dominic Cummings. You come across as rather uninformed yet wish to speak on behalf of "most people". Hardly surprising you would prefer to eschew world news then.2 points -

There's no reasoning with Biden voters. Reason and critical thinking are out the window for them. Best we can do is limit the damage they can do now to everyone around them. All one needs to reason with intelligent, educated, reasonable people are the facts as supported by evidence. If Trump supporters knew what they were talking about, their ludicrous conspiracies and irrational fears wouldn't be ridiculed or their opinions dismissed. But then again, if they took the time to learn the truth, they wouldn't still be falling for the fearmongering lies of an infamous charlatan like Trump.2 points -

You'd think by Android 7 at least, Google would've designed a mechanism to update trusted root certificates regardless of the Android version. Windows has one AFAIK to auto-update since XP. Has this been fixed in newer Androids by updateable root certificates, or their certificates are simply expiring later? this whole presidency is a scam lol If this presidency is a scam, then it is a darn good scam because my retirement is skyrocketing! Uh huh, sure. Uh huh, you probably don't even have a retirement package. My retirement was barely moving and lost some during the previous administration. If that's true, and if that's the only thing that matters to you, then yeah! Awesome! Bit of a shame about all those dead people... But woohoo retirement! What a rediculous statement to say. Of course, my retirement matters to me. What other people does is not a concern of mine since I cannot control what they do and think. My decision is solely mine, and it is the same for them. If they don't have a retirement plan, that's not my fault. In addition, I don't force my polical beliefs to anyone. I only stated that with this administration my retirement went up! It's ridiculous to concern yourself with a presidency that is allowing far too many people die being a greater concern than how much money is in a single persons retirement? I'm such a nasty person, what a nasty proposition. I'm so negative. Should we let him in on the secret that his retirement is doing better, since the economy is(well was) doing better? Upon which it goes on cycles of bad to good to bad to good and it just so happened it was recovering before Trump got into office and has continued (well did) to do so? Nah, let’s not get in the way of Trump worship. Holy ######. The guy just said his retirement was doing great under the current administration and somehow that turns him into Trump worshiper? I have no love for him but people can't even make a somewhat innocuous comment without being accused of zealotry now. Maybe, just maybe read the rest of what he said. I will help: "If this presidency is a scam, then it is a darn good scam because my retirement is skyrocketing!" Then he confirmed it later with more comments. I would have been much nicer to him had he not personally made jabs at me. I have no patience for people who skim and reply on that basis. Welcome to the long list of them here.1 point -

DJI Mini 2 announced with longer flight time, 4K video recording, more
ZipZapRap reacted to Jazmac for a topic
That's heartbreaking news. Thankfully I had the logs to back up my claim when I went to DJI and showed them that the drone ignored all user input and splashed down into the surf. They sent a replacement but I’ve only used it once since the incident (9 months ago) because I’ve lost confidence in the product I bet. Talk about a helpless feeling. I've seen a few videos where the flights go off wandering and they either have a real journey getting it back or its lost and unrecoverable. I even saw one where one drone recovered another that was stuck on top a building. But I feel ya not wanting to risk it. I have the Spark. With all the restrictions around here and Covid, I haven't been out much. I still love flying it though.1 point -

Does Neowin delete member accounts?
+Dick Montage reacted to Steven P. for a topic
Facts to consider: We've never required anyone to prove who they are irl when registering an account at Neowin beyond verifying a real email address Note: unless we started paying them in some form of employment for duties relating to the site like news reporting or server admin The above does not apply to those members which have won prizes in giveaways, who have had to tell us irl contact details, but those details aren't public anyway and not saved in some evil database. Accounts can be spoofed from anywhere in the world and we wouldn't care unless you start breaking our forum rules, and that would only result in restrictions/bans Note: we've had plenty of people pretending to be someone/thing they aren't and the community usually ends up figuring it out anyway. We've suggested in several topics and our privacy statement/TOS and forum rules about taking care about members posting any info that could be used to trace them irl, they did that themselves, we didn't require it we remove these "accidents" on request, so you see we are again offering a service to our members Note: these links are in the footer of every page on Neowin, with exception to the forum guidelines Asking to be GPDR'd is hard to verify unless our moderating team knows from their account/posting style/multiple IPs originating from said country that they actually reside there. Note: Which creates an amusing "problem" in that -- how can we verify that the account holder is an EU citizen if we don't have their personal details/id? Huh? Neowin can "get into trouble" for not acting on GDPR requests, but since all of the above also apply, we don't really have the verifiable info beyond the IP address to prove where the member is from @BudMan to answer your question, because we don't know the person irl who originally had access to the email, it is difficult to prove such things, but such complaints have been handled in the past and a secondary email address, like AIM/MSN or whatever that wasn't changed was proven to be the original account holder, so there are ways to recover "hacked" accounts IN THE PAST IPB forums used to keep everything like a history of changes to a person's account for staff to see, but because everyone got all upset about it, those features are being removed with every new release, soon I think even display name histories will be removed and everyone can live out their wildest dreams of being a permanent troll on the internet with no repercussions for their behavior, because it "hurts their feelings" awww... everyone can become truly anonymous with a flick of the switch. BACK TO EMAIL HACKING @BudMan We already support 2FA so people should use that to protect their accounts on and off the site I recommend it!1 point
