  2. YouTube reveals top trending videos and creators in the U.S. in 2020

Wow. Way to make me feel old and out of touch, YouTube. I have seen none of any of those lists, and I only recognise 4 names - Ricky Gervais, John Krasinski, Cardi B and Drake. And I'm not sure I've ever heard any music from Cardi B or Drake, certainly not intentionally. If anyone needs me I'll be sitting in my chair muttering about "kids these days..."

I just wanted to say this site is by Far the BEST on the internet from the Mods and Users for getting help on computer or general topics that I have ever been a member of and I have/had been involved with and that is a lot of them. I just wanted to say thanks for helping me over the years as I really appreciate it. I hope you all have Happy holidays to you and your families in the next few weeks. Enjoy

  7. Snapdragon 888 vs Snapdragon 865 Specs Appeal

I think the table columns should be switched, to make it easier. Plus, make the columns the same width so the similar text lines up. Easier to spot the changes to the new SoC :)

  10. Salesforce to acquire Slack for $27.7 billion

It's for the data -- and AI-driven data analysis capabilities. And maybe for becoming the next Oracle (you know the one, that corp that bought Sun Microsystems and MySQL just to screw with all of the assets).

Just a better reason to use Teams over Slack. Anything Salesforce is garbage.

"You will need to pay $300 in advance to pre-order, but the payment is fully refundable if you change your mind. The Eve V is expected to ship in the third quarter of 2021." 3rd quarter of NEXT YEAR? For a computer with a top tier I7 processor? In the words of Dr. McCoy: Are you out of your Vulcan mind?

  25. The Mandalorian

I've seen a few posts, don't have the links right now, about plans already underway for a Ahsoka live action series after the newest episode boosted her popularity again. She was always pretty popular from Clone Wars though. Either way, if true, I'm interested in where this goes. There's gaps between RoTJ and TFA that these series can help flush out more, and it'd be cool to bring in Clone wars and Rebels characters to live action IMO.

  27. Huh? A mobile phone chip is going to be compared to a desktop PC chip? You are technically correct, or at least that the M1 is not for phones in its current state and is a notebook class processor. However, most people admiring the M1 don't have a clue about these things and thus the classification difference is going to be lost. How many 'real' reviews have we seen that even talks about the tests and types of computing where the M1 falls down in comparison to the Mac Intel product versions, let alone faster processors from AMD and Intel in the notebook space that run circles around the M1. When only highlighting what M1 does well isn't a full picture. I have seen reviews and people debating it versus Intel i7/i9 mobile and AMD 4xxx - which are still vastly faster than the M1 in most areas. It's not just about highlighting what it does well, but rather making a point at how much it's doing at such a low power draw, let alone just at 8 cores itself. I don't think anyone's arguing that it's flat out better than Intel/AMD chips at the moment, but that when you have to start building use cases for why you need to even stick with Intel, you begin to make a case for why the M1 will be interesting for many others, including but not limited to thermals and battery life. Intel/AMD still need to take all this seriously, especially Intel given AMD has started pulling ahead with their consistent improvements. Same for Qualcomm, if they're going to be the only option available for Microsoft...

Well, with this, the site is now far worse, because it redirects in a new tab and then redirects back here, and then starts the process all over again. I had to leave that tab up and switch back to the previous tab just to break out of it. Of course it comes back once I go the next URL.

  35. New report corroborates rumors about the demise of Samsung's Galaxy Note line

The Note Line does not make sense anymore... The S line phones are just as big now and it's not like they can make phones any bigger at this point. The S21 Ultra having a S pen is the end of the road for the Note line. Android phone OEMs in general need to pair down their lineups and move to providing better/longer software support.

  36. Qualcomm announces its next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 888

Um, the M1 doesn't compete much in desktop space, although it does well in a few tests. Even in mobile, it doesn't even compete with AMD's 4xxx mobile processors in power/speed - which is what the M1 does best. I however expect to see some ARM being added to future AMD and/or Intel processors, or at least more of pure RISC type execution path. As for Qualcomm, they would have to ride that line of providing x86 functionality without the specific x86 set, like Apple did, which Intel may still find actionable. It may take Microsoft for something like this to go forward, as ARMv8 added the concept of using additional CPU modules, but Intel went nuts with threatening anyone considering using it - a threat people thought was aimed at Microsoft and WOA, but was to ARM chip makers. My two cents. M1 does a great job vs ryzen.

Why do you always have to post stupidity like this? Anyone who has a different opinion than you is not a terrorist. Grow up and think for yourself for once. BTW My ISP has not reduced prices or increased speeds (the last up in speed was before Trump) since the appeal of New Neutrality but they have asked to impose data caps.

Speaking of rudimentary understanding of meaning, you don't have a "post" here; you have a "comment". While you're at it, you might want to look up the meaning of the word "synonym".
