Such a ######ing ignorant opinion. If you only realized how intertwined the US government and the tech sector really are and how the private company takes marching orders from the Fed to keep lucrative contracts, your position may change, but I doubt that. Doesn't really change the fact that it's still a private company that can do as they please.3 points -

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of the consequences of the said speech. That will be sued into oblivion pretty quick. That's why you have to move it out the country. That's not how things like these work, because they need ads to survive, they need local server agreements and a shitload of other stuff. Else you get stuck with a site full of porn ads and/or that takes more to load a page than a dial-up connection.3 points -

It already looks way better from the above screenshots IMO. I'm not short on things to play, so let them take their time. Anyone complaining about the delay needs to calm down and find something else to do/play. It's not like there's a shortage of games out, or coming out. Cyberpunk was in the works for 9 years, iirc, if Halo Infinite is good in the end, I don't care if it takes an extra year.3 points -

This is funny. We have already seen this play just recently. Parlor for example, along with a couple of other projects. They were all 'free speech' do anything you want BS, and then found they were having to censor child porn, groups inciting violence, and straight up Nazi era BS, that even freaked out their 'right wing' BS. I say everyone should do this, fund raise, people will give money, and then maybe everyone that pulls this crap will realize things are not as simple as just 'free market of ideas' and 'free speech' and 'markets rule' - Which is ironic, as they SELDOM actually do. "A progressive is a right wing libertarian that got a chance to test some of their ideas and watch things go horribly wrong." - ME2 points -

The trick to getting unfettered support, make the GOP the same deal Trump made and give them a chunk of your donations. In the first week, the GOP were not supportive of Trump's claim's, then Trump's people changed the donation structure to give the GOP 30=40% of donations for fighting the results. Bingo, nearly all GOP members then questioned the results and supported Trump's crazy efforts. Never say the GOP don't have principles, they can still be bought.2 points -

Google announces privacy-focused changes to Chrome extensions
wingliston and one other reacted to n_K for a topic
"Starting next year, extensions will only be granted permission to access data on a per-domain basis. There will still be the option to grant access to all website data, but that won't be the default." So if I'm understanding that right, ad-blockers will have to prompt you once per domain to function? Haha, yes, clearly this is all about making the browser more secure... said no one ever. And I'll bet the 'allow on all domains' option is made very hard to enable2 points -

Bit of an odd thing to bring up? Anyone can walk into a PC shop and buy a PC, or GPU or CPU, no clearance needed, no description needed. Likewise anyone can setup a company and buy those parts. This project is very different than those, first the main focus is less of a new run-time and more of new kernel. The current android kernel is very inefficient for concurrent connections and real-time communications on mobile device (as you can see by heavy memory usage, it was designed for desktop and not mobiles). With this they have build new kernel from pretty much scratch(if memory serves correctly 'zircon kernel' which is designed from ground up for less memory usage and faster concurrent connections). It does run android apps (ART runtime), so i don't see how this can be a bad thing to happen.2 points -

They need to split security and OS updates, but it doesn't seem like Google wants to support older versions of Android to that degree. Worst case, they slow down on new Android releases from once a year to every 2 years, and support older versions with security updates longer. As it stands though, and maybe I'm wrong, but do they even support anything older than Android 10? If you do security updates for 5 years and you started with a v10, then they'd be up to Android 15 by then. It seems to me that they really don't want to bother with supporting 5 different versions of the OS.1 point -

I'm on my 3rd xbox 360 controller, and 2nd PS3 controller. I've now purchased a 2nd xbox one controller because the first one seems to be lagging for some reason. My friend's PS4 controller is half broken and doesn't move right properly. I'm on my first NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii U and Switch controller. Never a single issue. Ever. And I play Nintendo a lot (a lot) more. My friend was a rager and used to throw my gamecube controller during intense smash bros matches. That controller is still perfect. So... ok? You lie, physics, N64 is a plastic on plastic, it is made to wear off, you saying you didn't have issue while playing a lot shows how big of a liar you are You are probably a journalist at nintendolife Clearly, it’s the only explanation really.1 point -
