Facebook account requirement for Oculus Quest 2 prompts antitrust investigation in Germany
matthiew and 5 others reacted to Brandon H for a topic
good, hopefully this forces them to back off the facebook account requirement. Social Media connection should not be forced upon a gaming device; it should be an optional link. And it definitely shouldn't be required to retain purchased games/software ...6 points -

How to create recovery media for your Windows 10 PC
cork1958 and 3 others reacted to seeprime for a topic
Drive imaging seems to be more like a true recovery system, one where you can restore your Windows installation from the most recent image. Macrium Reflect Free and other programs do a great job of this. Simply create a boot USB drive that will allow you to access your backed up image, stored on a portable drive or on your LAN (if you have one), since you can't restore from the same drive Windows is on when the drive becomes unresponsive.4 points -

Jose_49 and one other reacted to Jason S. for a topic
when you initially swapped the drive, did you physically move the computer? i'm wondering if something shorted. Also, when you swapped the drive, did you unplug the PSU prior to removing the drive? try reseating the RAM, too. at this point, i'd just dismantle the whole thing and plug in the bare minimum to get it to POST. reseat the RAM, the CPU, the cooler, and make sure all the cables are connected tightly.2 points -

SpaceX Super Heavy and Starship updates
Emn1ty and one other reacted to DocM for a topic
The landing is fed by two header tanks, not the mains. The methane header is between the two mains, and the oxygen header is in the top of the nose for balance reasons. Each tank is pressurized to help push the liquid methane or oxygen into the lines & engines before the engine pumps start. Apparently what happened was the methane tank pressure wasn't high enough, causing low power & a hot oxygen rich burn. Hot oxygen eats metal, so the engines cooked. Here's a video showing the header tanks,2 points -

They would have happened at some point. There is no need to send people up into space any more, it is all about, look what I can do, I doubt very much if his starship is going to help this planet or the people on it. We can't even look after the planet we are on, so no point in trying to populate other planets. This is an extreme level of ignorance... I'm guessing you think all that R&D money should instead be distributed as a handout to the world's population, right? So each person will receive a few pennies (yes, pennies...), and then every world issue will magically get solved, right? That's such a wacko and selfish way of thinking...2 points -

Figures, censoring the truth, as usual. but it plays inline with... "The further society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it." - George Orwell ; and... "To anger a conservative, lie to him. To anger a liberal, tell him the truth" - Teddy Roosevelt. we all know Trump won as if those leftist snakes are allowed to get away with stealing the election, democracy is pretty much dead as they will continue to cheat in future elections. there is simply no way Biden is more popular than Obama in 2008 and Trump got a big surge in votes from the 2016 election to overtake even Obama's 2008 popularity etc. plus, Trump won Florida and Ohio which they say anyone who pulled that off has never lost a election etc etc. Trump clearly has more support from the common person than Biden does and yet he somehow "loses". but it's not over yet as I still think there is a decent chance Trump can pull it off in the courts. but if he does he's going to have to be ready because as we all know those godless leftists turn to violence when they lose unlike those on the right who are more civilized in general. basically it's a battle of good vs evil right now in society as anyone who can see through the lens of Christianity knows this. Trump is for the common person where as the godless leftist just want more power/control over the common person. the left is headed towards the hammer and sickle. anyone who can't see this is very blind.2 points -

There will still be the option to grant access to all website data, but that won't be the default." 150 million in silicone valley? so like 30 total houses? Have you seen property prices there?! $75k per house down there is like a shack in a 1000 sq ft lot (if your lucky to find a cheap lot)... I know it covers 2k houses but there is no way with the property prices there unless they are building in areas no one wants unless that's $1b for 2,000 houses which is more realistic there at 500k per house When you pay 1 million+ for a 1000 sq ft house the property is overvalued.....2 points -
