Twitter will force users to remove posts with COVID-19 vaccine misinformation

Typical far left wing *redacted* organization. I can't wait for their demise. If they don't agree with something regardless of all the data, facts, video, audio, proof, it's "misinformation." because somehow Twitter knows more than everyone. 1984 has begun.6 points -

I have purchased a plugin from the Invision Board Marketplace called Auto Lock Topics. It basically auto locks topics, and we've set ours for older than 90 days. Right now I have disabled the automated message all these locked topics will get because we have over 980K topics that will be locked, and thanks to me not thinking a bit more about the settings, some topics were bumped to the top of forums, which defeats the whole purpose 😛 They are now silently locked, and when the task has completed to 90 days ago I will enable a message that suggests a new topic be started, or to contact a moderator for unlocking (in certain cases we will allow this, like for returning seasons of TV shows etc). Anyway just wanted to update you all on why some old topics from 2001 might be showing up on your feeds.3 points -

Misinformation according to Twitter. If you, or others, don't like their rules you are free to leave and join Parler for example with their own censorship of posts. No one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to use Twitter. This argument is really stupid. Because why are you on social media in the first place? To follow people whose ideas you want to know. Can't do that if I'm on a different platform, can I?3 points -
Twitter will force users to remove posts with COVID-19 vaccine misinformation
domboy and 2 others reacted to ThaCrip for a topic
Yeah, basically what it boils down to is anyone who does not have a favorable opinion of vaccines is automatically "disinformation" basically. *roles eyes* personally I am of the mindset of WHY put something into your body (like a vaccine) that one can likely fight off naturally? (we all know the death rate of covid is VERY low (like less than 1% from what I have heard) unless you happen to be really old or in really bad health. but yet the corrupt leftists/media are always hammering home the fear-mongering non-stop and abusing it to go on a power trip and control the country and destroy small business and economy etc) ; it's simply a matter of trust to and big pharma is not exactly trustworthy as you see it all of the time on TV with those commercials where those lawyers suing 'if you took such and such and were injured you might be entitled to compensation'. plus, you can see general standards of prescription drugs etc are declining as some even admit they can cause cancer and other serious side effects etc. the side effects end up being worse than the problem they are trying to fix. basically their greed overrules morality and with stuff like I just said, it's wise not to be too trusting of the medical industry and just blindly believe everything your told from the mainstream views as they clearly don't have your best interest at heart but their $$$. sure, if your in a life threatening situation they can be pretty good at saving your life. but the more causal stuff, I would not be quick to blindly trust everything they say as my general mindset is avoid prescription drugs (and the like) unless absolutely necessary. you will probably be healthier in the long term that way to.3 points -

Zoom will lift its 40 minute limit for free users on specific days for holiday celebrations
tmaxxtigger and one other reacted to 300z for a topic
I completely agree. I have to use it for work reasons and whenever I have to call more 2 people or more at once I just use Skype or Meet and the only advantage I see in Zoom's favour is being able to share only portion of the screen as opposed to an entire window like the others but other than this I could happily live with Skype or Meet. Oh, and zoom uses more resources on my iMac than the others.2 points -

Linux Mint 20.1 'Ulyssa' beta launches with new programs
Nas and one other reacted to ThaCrip for a topic
I tested this release a little earlier and, unless my Marvell 9215 controller card had something to do with the fix (since when v20 was released I was not using that with my OS install and was using my onboard SATA II ports), this v20.1 works where as v20 did not as with v20 I had a rather large issue (which stopped me from using v20 and I had to restore my Clonezilla image of v19.3) where after a clean installation (did not matter whether it was standard BIOS or UEFI), I reboot, and after OS loads like usual, I load up the file manager and it does not list the hard drives on my computer like is expected, nor does inserting a USB thumb drive load up like expected either (but 'lsblk' shows the drives), so things are pretty much shot in this regard. but on Mint v20.1 beta things work as expected like Mint v19.x series does. so what ill probably do soon to see whether the Mint v20.1 release actually fixed anything is try clean installing Mint v20 with my current setup to see if that HDD/USB thumb drive issue disappears as if it does, I suspect just using my Marvell 9215 controller card is sort of a work around for the bug. but if the bug is still there in Mint v20 then they must have fixed something in Mint v20.1 etc.2 points -

Questions about shifting Windows 10 to a New SSD without reinstalling OS.
Ve7878 and one other reacted to +Warwagon for a topic
If you install windows to an SSD and clone it to an HDD, it will run like total crap (even worse than just clean installing to an HDD) and if you open "defragment and optimize drives " will still say you are running an SSD. If you do a winsat formal from the command prompt, it re-benchmarks the system and configures itself properly now for an HDD instead of an SSD. if you reopen "defragment and optimize drives " it will now say HDD instead of SSD. After a few reboots, it runs just like HDD clean install. (Probably after it gets the prefetch reconfigured) Same works both ways I think. Personally I like True Image, not because Macromedia Reflect is bad but because Macromedia Reflects source and destination menu freaks me out. I find True Image to be MUCH simpler. With Macromedia Reflect I'm always terrified I'm going to nuke the wrong drive. True Image Macromedia Reflect2 points -

Misinformation according to Twitter. If you, or others, don't like their rules you are free to leave and join Parler for example with their own censorship of posts. No one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to use Twitter. The only thing that's missing from this opinion is 230 protections. If Twitter/Facebook/Google are going to become publishers... then remove the protections for being a platform. Once that's done... then let the lawsuits land where they land. They have too much power to be allowed to arbitrarily decide what is "true" - and they have shown they have no problem abusing that power.1 point -

I would look in the event viewer and see if there is an explorer.exe error after attempting to click the start button. One thing you could try is to download shell view https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html . And without restarting the explorer shell when it fails to open, turn off 3rd party shell extensions one by one and see if your start menu comes back to life, just a thought.1 point -
