  1. I assume they'll also be suspending donations to those who voted against election certification in 2016, 2004, and 2000? No? How odd.

  2. Intel Evo vs Apple Silicon part four: Hardware compatibility

The M1 is better for some use cases. It's not power users or gamers. It's a great chip for laptop users but is held back for no real support for multiple monitors. Intel is not really quacking in their boots due it is really limited to primarily MacOS users. I am looking to buy a new laptop later this year and will consider a M1x Mac but I also have a Linux/Windows desktop PC. i'd love to see intel quacking in it's boots. LIKE A DUCK. no pen support touch screen or detachable keyboard means every mac is dead to me.

I ran an eGPU on my '18 intel Mac Mini (as do many intel Mac users). Worked great, most of the time and gave me some really good graphics, cause the graphics Apple was getting from intel was ######. You bought a Mini PC looking for "really good" graphics? Where did he say he bought it looking for "really good" graphics? "I ran an eGPU on my '18 intel Mac Mini (as do many intel Mac users). I'm quite liking the drip-feeding of information. The fact they are letting the story determine the run-length rather than fitting to a standar "Every episode has to be x minutes long" is no concern for me.

  14. Trump dictatorship? ; that's a bit of a stretch as it's the left who wants to remain in permanent power and just about everyone is helping there to make that easier since they are heavily biased against Trump who's clearly overall better for the country than Biden is. because it does not take a genius to figure out that if Trump made the economy better etc, which he obviously did, and Biden pretty much reverses everything Trump did, which he will, it's going to put the country back into the toilet (with Biden, America is not #1 like it was with Trump). but like I say, if a republican never wins again, it will be obvious what happened, which basically started in Nov 2020. like some saying I heard goes, which goes something like... "if you silence what someone has to say, it does not prove that they were a liar, only that you fear what they have to say" ; the left routinely does this when people say stuff they don't like. but if they had nothing to hide/fear, why censor opposing views? ; probably because the truth is generally not on their side so they got to resort to shady tactics to "win".

  15. Well someone has to do something. Certain sections of the media openly supported those attempting to turn the U.S in to a Trump dictatorship with the failed coup. I also like the following initiative, "Microsoft also highlighted that some of its employees expressed interest in donating funds to work that will tackle and resolve issues related to democracy and politics, rather than political candidates. To that end, the company has announced a separate "Democracy Forward Initiative" which will fund organizations engaged in the aforementioned activities" Well done Microsoft. It would be helpful if the other tech giants joined the Democracy Forward Initiative as well. Combined it could become a genuine force to encourage change and encourage the far right to back away from their violent sedition.

  21. Questions about 2FA.

Because some are more secure than others. My Protonmail account is locked and remains locked I lose 2FA access. The only recourse is a recovery code. Most "unrecoverable" 2FA models give you a collection of recovery codes in the event you lose access.

  24. Couple of darkside fixes in the news site

Thanks to some bug fixing work by @Redmak the comments (and reply to comment) box is now dark instead of eye blindingly white 😂😂 Prev / Next articles are now stacked and stand out a bit more below articles Earlier this week @DaveLeggremoved some javascript and cleaned up some code that was no longer used (for example we now only use one advertiser to display in page ads, before it was two, which required two sets of javascripts). For guests we completely removed the CKeditor javascript from loading in the background (some 500kb) this was overlooked and a bug, because guests could never comment so it makes no sense to load the editor at all. A future update will add some lazy loading, so that certain heavier elements (like the editor) will only load once they are in focus on the page. BTW a little known fact is that guests can enable Darkside on our news site with the theme icon toggle at the top of the right rail sidebar: It's also at the top right of all articles (except reviews, which are full width pages).

A few more tweaks: the darkside comment colors have been tweaked a bit to be more like on the light theme. New comments are green, your own comment is blue and normal (read) comment color is still black. 33. If you can't see the difference between those examples and now then there is nothing anyone can say to help you. Continue living your life with your head in the sand and be happy. The difference is simple: Democrats fought an election because of information provided by a russian agent through a british spy. They spent 4 years investigating based on that one report. Democrats don't trust THOUSANDS of Americans claiming they saw fraud in various places and mountains of questionable activity. The difference is the left trusts Russians more than Americans.

  34. "trump dictatorship" "You can't legislate by EOs unless you're a Dictator" -Joe Biden, signer of a record number of EOs already. Democrats love their dictator in a barbed wire surrounded enclave protected by troops over a mostly peaceful protest. Meanwhile... there's still no proof and no trial that says Democrats DIDN'T steal the election. Its a byproduct of judges passing valid lawsuits on procedural fluff. IE when SCOTUS passed on a valid lawsuit by Texas for "standing" - despite the fact that Texas is obviously affected by The Steal.

  47. Google starts paying Australian publishers under its News Showcase program

Nothing. I think it opened the floodgates. What was it, Spain? Where Google shut down GNews and most publication's traffic dropped significantly? I mean, if I want to know something I go to Google News, search the topic and then go to a specific website. I would caution anyone using only Google News for sourcing, as there are issues with bombing and bounce effects, along with Google's own focus shift of how the algorithm picks content for you. I know a conspiracy researcher that found Google was presenting some insane stuff as it adapted to their past searches and clicks. (Hit another engine or pick a few news sources that have to adhere to journalism standards. US Newspapers for example are more solid than other mediums. Even the crazy Left/Right papers will do facts, and retractions and keep opinion well labeled.

  49. I agree with your sentiment, however I would like to rather point out why this could still be a valid comparison. Despite Intel supplying the products mentioned, Neowin has disclosed that Intel supplied it to them. Many 'independent' reviews don't even disclose this. Ideally, I would have preferred a Lon.TV Reviews style of complete disclosure, but this is good enough. They have also declared that "All opinions expressed are a result of our own testing and experience." Plus the typical Neowin audience is informed enough about the merits and demerits of each system that they will call out any BS in the comparison. See the previous article on this topic. Regarding the peripherals sent, while I do object to all other major accessories being Razer branded and hence bound to work well, I do not mind the type of accessories used in this comparison. While the external GPU might be overkill, the rest are perfectly fine and if not essential to a Work from home setup. Samsung T7 and the Caldigit dock are the flagship products in their category. If you want to bring in other products into the review, then you can absolutely ask Rich or Neowin for additional scope. I am also eager. "Continuity, Handoff and Sidecar don't work on Windows machines." Duh, those are Apple specific features. However it is to be noted that Windows also has equivalent features that work with other iOS, Android and Windows machines (subject to the device being used). However, that would be a Windows vs macOS feature comparison that is outside the scope of the Intel vs Apple comparison here. "Despite Intel supplying the products mentioned, Neowin has disclosed that Intel supplied it to them. Many 'independent' reviews don't even disclose this." Then they're breaking the law, simple really.
