MS Bob 11 and one other reacted to newformmercurial for a topic
They should have made this thing thicker, and give it a 4000 mAh battery. Consider many have reported the glass popping out from the back, making it thicker might have been beneficial as well. Maybe they were seeing how thin as possible they could make it. Also, they need to use aluminum instead of the plastic they used for the body/frame of the device. A lot of people have reported the frame just cracking in random places. Also, it can't be more than 1000 dollars in the U.S. I guess the 1400 dollar initial price tag was to compensate for the limited market that a device like this would have.2 points -

Man, can I just say I hate Facebook? Like... maybe I'm just getting to that age, but I hate everything about it. Toxic people. Armchair activists. Sensitive people. Aggressive people. People sharing their Ben Garrison comics and whatever the leftist equivalent is. Bad memes. Whatever. I only have it as a glorified rolodex in case I lose someone's number or to keep up with a couple friends on Android because SMS sucks. I just can't stand the platform and would've shut it off years ago if Spotify and some other stuff wasn't tied to it. And man, I'm tired of feeling guilty for not telling someone I haven't talked to in 3 years Happy Birthday when I really don't care. Am I bad person? Probably. I just find it all to be a bunch of noise and small talk. And yeah, I realize you guys might not agree, and that's cool. I'm just venting man. Send me back to the mountains and you'll never hear from me again lol2 points -

Skype Insiders get new design tweaks and improved performance with Electron 11
samw61 reacted to George P for a topic
I have to say, this new update really does start significantly faster. They went from Electron 8.5 to Electron 11.1, so it's a big jump. On that note, Teams is also using Electron 8.5, so I wonder if we could get a performance boost for that with a similar update. The performance of the teams app is its greatest weakness from what I can tell, I didn't know they were on such a older version of electron. They need to get everything on 11 asap.1 point -

AMD has been creating two new sockets every two years. You can't insert a Ryzen Threadripper into an AM3+ socket or even into a TR4. So, no, you can't. 2 years? That's bull, AM4 came out in 2017 (AM3+ came out in 2011!) and is still used by current gen Ryzen chips (and next gen Ryzen as well). Ryzen 5000 is officially compatible with B450 boards which came out in early 2018 and unofficially compatible with 1st gen boards by some OEMs. TR4/TRX4 is Threadripper only but Threadripper always had separate sockets compared to Ryzen, as does Intel for LGA1200 and LGA2066. You can't put a an i9 10980XE on a LGA1200, even thought they were release at the same time. AM4 and FP4 in 2015, TR4 and SP3 in 2017, and sTRX4 and FP5 in 2019. So, no, you are wrong. You have no idea what you are talking about, not only is your timeline incorrect (AM4 did NOT come out in 2015) you are mixing different processor lines. AM4 is for consumer chips (Ryzen), 2017-now. TR4 is for prosumer chips (Threadripper), 2017-2019, TRX4 2020-now. SP3 is for server chips (Epyc), 2017-now. FP4/FP5 is a BGA chip, Ball Grid Array, it's not a socket it's for embedded and laptop chips, ie soldered chips NOT user replaceable. If we apply the same logic for Intel you have: -Consumer : LGA1151v1 (2015-2017), LGA1151v2 (2018-2019), LGA1200 (2020-2021) -Prosumer: LGA2066 (2017-2019), (nothing released in 2020) -Server: FCLGA3647 (2016-2020)1 point -
