generally it's better to have a separate router for WiFi anyway as modems and modem/router combo devices generally are horrible about getting updates for very long if at all which is bad if security flaws are found

  16. It's useless or at least a PITA to use if you have more than one device. Not really an apples to apples comparison. I use it on five devices. Setup involved putting the database in OneDrive and opening it up when needed. Desktop, Surface Pro, Surface Go, Samsung Galaxy, Kindle Fire.

  18. I'm here to recommend KeePass. It's ugly as all heck, but works great and it's free. I use 2FA on it, so the password DB lives in the cloud, but the keyfile required to unlock it is copied locally only.

I would still consider switching to Bitwarden... Open source, recently audited, and more reasonably priced. I personally wouldn't use a closed source security product owned by a private equity firm. I don't use open source anything, except LibreOffice. So...I'm happy for you. I suppose doing the opposite of what most security experts recommend is one way to go. Do you also use closed source encryption? LOL

Thanks for the heads-up - the T25 was not available when I chose the MT-7711. Also, I flat-out love my SB-6183; as I stated, the darn thing is a *tank*. (The two DOCSIS 3.x modems that we have had (one leased, then the SB-6183) have been from ARRIS - and have been Broadcom-powered.) The T25 has one flaw - no wireless support; our current telephony modem does have that. However, there IS an ARRIS wireless telephony modem that checks all the boxes - the ARRIS SVG-2482AC. Biometrics on BitWarden is free on iOS, Windows and Browser but TOTP is a paid feature (~$10 a year). I self host my instance and back it up to AWS S3. I never felt comfortable with my passwords in someone else's cloud.

  40. F9: Starlink v1.0 Launch #17 & #19

I've only just watched it back now, looks like something may have gone wrong with the entry burn IMO. After you hear Stage 1 Entry burn shutdown there still seems to be some flame coming that definitely isn't RCS as it's far too bight. So I'm going to assume a problem with one of the Merlins and the computer decided that it wasn't safe to land so it didn't do the last minute divert to the drone ship.

  42. It's either punch hole or notch. The under display cameras are still not that great, let alone being able to put a Face ID projector under one. Apple will go portless before they go usb-c on an iPhone. The only thing that might realistically return is Touch ID, but it'd be a supplement to FaceID, Apple isn't ever going to get rid of it. So yeah, you'll be waiting a long time.

  48. Update from the Microsoft Message Center: Updated February 12, 2021: Based on early feedback we have updated this post to provide additional clarity. Thank you for your feedback. On Feb. 9, we published an MC post regarding a new Teams Pro service plan. To clarify, there is no change to existing product licenses with the addition of this new service plan. Rather, the service plan will be added automatically to Microsoft 365 and Office 365 E5/E3/A5/A3, and Microsoft 365 Business Standard/Business Premium licenses, and will enable users who are licensed for these SKUs to automatically receive capabilities rolling out to Teams in the near future. There is no action required by admins, and no additional purchase is necessary for Microsoft 365 and Office 365 E5/E3/A5/A3 and Microsoft 365 Business Standard/Business Premium licensed users to acquire the new Teams capabilities that will be part of the Teams Pro service plan.

  49. Facebook saw a drop in hate speech prevalence during Q4 2020

Genuinely curious, though... you say "what they constitute hate speech, not necessarily actual hate speech". Have you got specific examples of speech you would define not as hate speech, but Facebook would?
